So it was only day 2 of band camp and so much crap happened. So 1/2 of our snares don't show up and we go on as usual but we all know that if he didn't show up we'd have to be put in the pit. We didn't necessarily not like the pit but we wanted to march. So after a couple hours of great practice we get told by our band director that we won't be marching because our other snare quit. The guy who quit told our director that it was because of family problems & because of me & my boyfriend apparently fight too much, which may have been a true statement if it was still last year's marching season. We've talked about our arguing and are fixing that so it was bullshit for him to blame us when he was too big of a pussy to say the real reason. Anyways, instead of putting us in pit we decide to move my boyfriend who is 3rd bass to snare and have a freshmen with 1 year experience in pit on his drum. Now the fucking guy who quit is going to be coming back tomorrow and it's stupid. I don't think he should have been allowed back for one and another thing is my boyfriend didn't want to march snare he wanted to stay on bass and now he can't go back and there's no reason for him to be on snare and he's a senior so there's not another year. I'm just a little upset idk sorry for the rant.

Band Camp 2014!!!

So in less than 7 hours I will be at band camp starting off the 2014 marching season! I'm so excited I can't sleep so I'm making this little post about it lol. I'm going to be more active this year and I'm going to warn my lovely followers in advance that I will be posting a lot about my band on here but don't worry I'll still be posting other bands/drum corps so yay! Alright well I'm going to try to go to sleep, good night lovely band maniacs :)

Band Geek Apps: "Bassline Composer" REVIEW!

Okay so I have downloaded the $2.99 iPhone app "Bassline Composer" and I have used it a little bit and have came to the conclusion that it is awesome. I really like that you can have multiple measures, you can have up to 6 (I think that's the exact # can't remember sorry) basses. It let's you hear the basses and sounds like accurate bass drums. You can add flams, shots, buzzes, etc. as well and that's pretty cool. You can set the BPM to whatever you want it to be and it's actually fairly simple to use. It's worth the $2.99 so I would definitely suggest it to other bass drummers like myself. There is also a tenor version of the app and maybe others but so far I have just seen the tenor version of the app but I would really suggest it, especially to those who like to just mess around with split music or someone who would like to seriously compose some bass line music and would like to hear how it sounds :) -Fruit

15 Day Marching Band Challenge ~ Day 15 (07-15-14)

What do you love the most about marching?

Oh gosh, there is so much about marching that I just absolutely adore. Really all of it is the best parts to me. I like going on the field and performing in front of big audiences of people, I love having a family of people who all share the same passion as I do, I love the physical exertion that it takes cause I'm lazy and I don't like to be surprisingly lol. I like to get out on the field and make awesome forms and use my body and mind at once to create killer music and some kick ass art. Gah, marching is my favorite thing to do like ever. I love it all so much.
