..I started #QUESTIONMARC back in 92'.. over the years it took on a lot of different personalities.. at first it was my airbrushing/graffiti tag.. then it became "official" when i registered my production company underneath it.. it was a music label for a bit.. graphic design & printing for a couple years.. finally.. my logo landed on one of my very first photos back in 04'.. when i just started shooting.. back when the "industry" claimed it was wrong to even put a logo on a photo.. I didn't think so tho.. my photography is my art.. my logo was my signature on my art.. I didn't see anything wrong with that. Looking back.. I pretty much dedicated HALF my life to establishing my brand.. probably more. That pursuit cost me a normal life.. that's how passionate I AM about building my brand. ALL or NOTHING. It represented an idea that stood for a company that produced cutting edge.. trendsetting content.. a company that always broke ground in new areas & pushed the limits of creativity.. bringing the imaginable.. into reality. In 2009.. I walked away from that pursuit.. there isn't much I regret in life.. I firmly #BELIEVE.. everything happens for a reason.. so.. to walk away from something that fueled my passion.. was a mistake. I have my reasons for walking away. At the time.. they seemed legit. Almost 8 YEARS later.. I have to tell you.. if I would have only pushed through the adversity I was enduring & harnessed the explosion of social media.. I'm POSITIVE i would have owned the production studio of my dreams right now. That thought alone.. is a TOUGH pill to swallow. It haunts my thoughts.. every day. Every minute. Every second I'm alive. Key word tho.. alive. ..I'M STILL.. ALIVE. It hurts to see other artists who looked up to you.. who you inspired.. watching them do things YOU envisioned.. almost feels like.. they picked up your DREAM & kept going. THAT BOTHERS ME. Everyday I wake up.. I have to live with these thoughts/feelings.. watching others accomplish things i KNEW i was on the cusp of accomplishing.. ..it's time.. i do something about these feelings.. time to erase that pain.. the hardest part about rebuilding.. is BELIEVING. #WeAreTheMarc (at Questionmarc Studios)
