This one is for the history books. I was invited to speak to Materials Science Engineering students at the University of Michigan’s College of Engineering. If you didn’t know, I did my undergraduate studies in Materials Science Engineering at UofM, though I never worked in the field after (barely) graduating. Suffice it to say, I was in no way a model engineering student. I was an awful student, in fact, which made my return to the walls of my undergraduate studies an extremely humbling experience. I was delighted to see some of past professors who were warm and welcoming after seeing me some 17 years since taking their class. They had great anecdotes that were both embarrassing and hilarious. Really good times. All of which evidenced for me that the past is merely a chapter in the story of your lives. I am forever grateful for the peaks and the valleys. Happy birthday, Georgia!!! I can’t believe it’s been 3 years since you came into this world. And, oh, what a blessing it has been. Mommy and Daddy love you more each day, as if it were even possible to love you one once more than we already do.
I don’t love the photo but I am so very grateful for the look. #newbrochure #goblue! (at The Ross School of Business)
