The blond watched the dark-haired wizard move and began protesting. “No – Marcus, stay th–” He sighed, but it was too late. He was already on his feet and stumbling towards him. Andrew took a few steps closer to shorten the space he would need to cover. “Hey, no, I’m fine.” He said, groaning slightly at the pain he felt from the hug. But, of course, he hugged him back regardless. It was good to know that he was at least okay enough to stand up and get over to him. “It’s you I’m worried about.” He pulled away a little, hand still lingering on Marcus’ shoulder, Andrew’s eyes meeting his. “You could have got yourself killed, Marcus.” His tone was serious, almost scolding but not quite fully there. He waited a few moments before he spoke again. “But you saved my ass,” he said, almost laughing with a smile on his lips. He squeezed the wizard’s shoulder lightly. “Thank you.” He pulled him into another painful hug. There was no doubt in Andrew’s mind that if the two of them had only had him to play with, they would have been done with him long before the Order had the chance to burst in.
The pain from his injuries made a light groan pass Marcus’ lips, yet as soon as he took the blond male into a hug, he could only focus on the relief over anything else. He had been worrying out of his mind about the other male and Merlin, was he glad to see him. As Andrew pulled back and spoke, Marcus quickly shook his head in protest to the male’s words. “Merlin, I have been so worried about you..” He sighed, shaking his head once again. “But I didn’t. Come on, Drew I had to do something.. I couldn’t just let them take you, I would never have forgiven myself. You would have done the same..” Marcus spoke softly, his gaze moving to connect with his ex boyfriend’s as a gentle smile crossed his face. As he was tugged into another hug, the young male grinned and hugged him back, holding him gently in hope of not causing either of them more pain. “You don’t need to thank me, idiot.” Marcus joked with a light laugh.
