“you’re never overdressed on The Orient Express”
In the chapel where my mum and dad were married. I was 58 before I knew where it was!
I’d be bankrupt if I lived in Tokyo
Great Tokyo trip to see both Oasis shows! Went all in on Live ‘25 because it’s likely to be the last time I’ll experience a musical event of that magnitude (unless Bob announces a farewell tour)
A crazy short UK trip (in Thursday-out Saturday!) just to see Bob* … back in my old stomping ground of Brighton. Not been there for decades.
Also the venue for The Jam’s final gig in 1982. After their split, it was Bob all the way until Oasis arrived. Bob remained #1 though, of course.
*my sister too, just in case she sees this.
Lovely, eccentric birthday party with my lovely wife. She encourages me to be the crazy one she sees inside.
Bob Dylan and Albert Camus.
Two guiding pillars of my life.
Simply incredible. Another bucket list item crossed off!
Nothing makes me happier than seeing my wife in her happy place.
First night at Wembley. Immense.
The rock gods of the UK!
From The British Invasion of the 1960’s to the Mod Revival of 1979, to Britpop in the 90’s.

Having 3 parents has been an unfair advantage in my life.
Doing what I love with who I love. #ThePurplePartnership
With the benefit of 40+ years of hindsight, it’s the lyrics from these 2 songs by The Jam that resonate with me the most from that era.
What times they were.
The six albums that shaped my life.
My life would have been completely different if I hadn’t heard them.
Completely different.
