Title: Him & I Requested? Yes. Plot: You take MGK to meet your family and they are too judgemental because of his career, his tattoos and the fact that he has a child. Warnings: None. Word count: 1967
—***—
You’ve been dating the famous rapper Machine Gun Kelly for about two years now, and you were loving every second of it. Going to every single show, being the first one to listen to his new projects, and getting to meet the true Colson Baker, the human being behind MGK. after a few months of dating, he sat you down and asked how serious you were about the relationship. “Colson, I’m gonna be honest with you. From the first moment I saw you on tv, I started imagining what it would be like to meet you. And when I did, it felt kinda magical. Cliché I know.” You said with an airy laugh, causin Colson to chuckle along. You continued, saying how you quickly started falling in love with him, after realising how amazing he is as a person, and that you were the happiest person in the world when he asked you to be his girlfriend. “So yes, I’m very serious about our relationship.” You finished and smiled pu at him, your lips soon met by his own in a passionate kiss.
And the very next day you realised why he asked you that. You heard a knock on your door and when you went to open, Colson was standing there, alongside Casie, his daughter. You hadn’t met her yet and you figured out that he wanted to know how serious your relationship was before he would introduce you to her and be sure he’s bringing a good person in his daughters life. And now, over two years later, you were still happy together, a little family. You were even featured in one of his music videos.
And you had met the rest of his family too, but you haven’t introduced him to anyone from your family yet and you really wanted to. You wanted your parents to meet the amazing person he is and the adorable bubble of happiness and imagination that is Casie. You thought for sure that they would love them as much as you do. But in that moment, you didn’t know how wrong you were. When you came back from work a few days after the idea popped into your head, you found Colson on the couch, having a smoke, and you thought it was a good moment to present the idea to him. For a few moments, he stayed seated, and continued smoking, the silence driving you insane.
In that moment he turned his head to you and asked you if you were sure about that. You kneel next to him and cup his face, your eyes searching for his, but failing to find them. You had never seen him like this, he has never acted like this before, so nervous and worried. “Yeah, I am. I want them to meet the man that I love, and I know they are gonna love you. Maybe not as much as I do, but they will.” You said, trying to get him to smile, and he did, for a few seconds before lowering his head, as his leg started shaking slightly as his nerves kicked in and he was bopping his leg.
His head slowly raised up at your words and his eyes finally met yours. You stared into the beautiful blue orbs that you love getting lost in and you couldn’t help but smile. You could see it in those adoring eyes that he didn’t know what to say, so you just wrapped your arms around him, quietly encouraging him that everything will be alright and that there is no reason for him to be nervous. At that moment, you were so sure that it’s going to be that way, and that you will finally be able to start planning a possible wedding in the future with Colson that your parents would be coming to. He hugged you tighter, thanking you for believing in him and the person he was. You smiled and when you let go after a few more moments of holding your world in your arms, you pulled him off the couch and pushed him into your shared room so that you could get ready together and go over to see your parents.
Colson was searching through his wardrobe, trying to find what he was going to wear. He even tried putting a bandana on his head, but he soon pulled it off, and looked at himself angerly in the mirror. You told him to stop saying that your parents were going to hate him, because in your mind, that was the current truth. You told them that you will be coming over with your boyfriend. You hadn’t told them about the fact that Colson was a rapper and that he had so many tattoos and that he is a father, because to you there was nothing wrong with that, and you felt like it wouldn’t be wrong to them either. After getting dressed and walking towards the front door, Colson let go of your hand and moved over to stand in front of the door.
“You can’t keep acting like that. You are the man I see myself growing old with, introducing you to my parents is nothing more nerve-racking then so many other things we have already been through.” You came up to him and placed your hand on his chest, his finding their way to your hips. You leaned in to peck his lips, as your words were sinking in to him. Finally you were out the door and making your way to your parents house. You were excited, but soon after you entered the home, you realised you were wrong. Your parents were in shock once they saw all the ink covering Colson’s body, and when they asked him what his occupation was they freaked out even more as they realised you had talked about him to them in the past about this certain rapper Machine Gun Kelly and they out two and two together and realised it was the same guy. Your mother grabbed your arm and began leading you to the kitchen, your father following suit, leaving Colson alone, standing in the middle of the living room.
“How could you do this? He even has a child. You are not ready for this kind of responsibility!” Your mother whisper yelled, constantly looking over to make sure Colson wasn’t listening to your conversation. You were confused as to why the fact that he had a child was such a huge reason not to be with him. And the tattoos were one of the reasons why you loved him and you found that so attractive, and as far as the rapping thing goes, you saw it as you were dating Colson Baker, the amazing, kind, loving, funny man who showed you how much he loves you every single day of your lives, and it’s just a bonus that he was a famous rapper, with people looking up to him. You felt like Colson, Casie and you were this perfect little family and there was no reason why you wouldn’t be with him. Your parents groaned when you told them that, saying they will never accept you being with him. “Fine! We are leaving then!” You yelled at them and stormed out, grabbing Colson’s arm as you walked by and headed to the door. He followed you, but at some point he stopped you and grabbed you by the arms, so you were facing him, your head hung low and he apologised. You asked him why he did that.
“Oh Colson…baby, please don’t worry about that they will come around trus-” You began, but were interrupted by your parents yelling behind you how you will not be their daughter if you stay with him. You were shocked, your eyes widening as you turned around to look at them, and after seeing their poker faces, meaning every word they said, you told Colson to hold on for a moment and you stormed over to your parents again. Colson leaned on a pole, and kept his eyes on you as you were trying to talk to your parents.
“I can’t believe you would go this far! I’m your child and you would be willing to forget me because I love someone who is not good for me in your opinion. Mum, you carried me under your heart for nine months and you gave me life. Dad, you taught me how to talk, how to walk. And you are willing to just throw that away?! Fine, so be it, because I’m not giving up on him!” You ended up yelling you last sentance and turned on your heel, walking back over to Colson and you both started walking. Silence filled the space between you two, before you looked over at him and noticed the look of pure guilt on his face. You told him you were fine and that he shouldn’t feel bad, but he slightly ranted how he should have never let you talk him into going.
You decided to leave it be and you guys silently walked over to your car and drove home. You sat down on the couch and leaned back, looking at the photos on your phone, seeing so many of old photos with your parents and a few with Colson and Casie. You smiled at that and decided to post one.
A few minutes later you noticed someone walk into the living room. It was Colson with a smile on his face, and you figured he saw the post you made. Soon your phone buzzed and seeing him chuckle, you figured it meant he posted something too. And your heart felt so warm when you saw what it was.
You stood up from the couch and run into his open arms. You embraced each other in a tight hug, closing your eyes and enjoyed each other’s company. You were glad that he wasn’t feeling guilty anymore, but you knew there was someting sligtly bothering him, and you asked him what it was when you let go of each other.
You sighed in understanding, as you too felt like they were focused on the wrong things when it comes to your relationship. They were more focused on your inability to take the responisibility of Casie and that people would be thinking when they see you with a man with so many tattoos on his body then on how much you actually loved each other and made each other happy. You felt like it was you and him against the world at some points and now your parents joined that world of people who are always against you. But you knew that in the end it was always gonna be you and him caring for each other and making sure the other one was alright and that Casie had everything she wanted.
You still hoped that one day your parents might see the reality of the situation and that Colson is an amazing human being in every sense of that word. But in the meantime, everything was going better for your little family. Colson and you were lying on the couch in the living room, your legs over his, chatting away as you waited for the time to go pick Casie up from school and you were laughing and making faces at each other.
“I love you too, sexy.” He replied earning another giggle from you. And you realised this is exactly what you needed in your life, and you know that what you have with Colson is healthy and you hoped it stayed that way for good. And you couldn’t wait to get Casie home to tell her she was going to be a big sister soon, and see both of their reactions.

Hey @maddierohlfss I hope you like it, sorry it took so long to finish, exams are killing me. If you don’t like it let me know and I’ll do what I can to fix it. And I would like to thank you for requesting a MGK imagine, I love this guy so much and I was hoping about writing an imagine for him, so if you like this one and have another request about Kels or anyone else, let me know.
Also the first gif goes too fast, so here is what it says: Interviewer: So your girlfriend is in your new music video, yeah? Kelly: Oh yeah, she is, she’s awesome. We had so much fun shooting the video, it turned out pretty good.
Off to bed now, but the Alex request will be coming tomorrow!
