Ok so I've been playing oracle of seasons bc I have no self control. I'm in the eigth and final dungeon so let me give you a run down on how the game has been for me:
Secrets: I've collected a Lot but I haven't gone back to ages to input them yet. They seem like a pretty cool mechanic, and I'm SO glad I get to keep my rings. The regain hearts while walking ring is 1) incredibly broken, I can fully heal in the middle of virtually any boss battle (barring the seventh dungeon boss, it didn't work there lol) 2) just about the funniest equivalent to a fit but I've seen in media, like when you reach your step goal your hearts refill, good job link. Speaking of rings, they're so helpful, I don't know how I survived without an expanded ring box. And they can make me look like various monsters so like what is there not to love
Seasons mechanic: at first, all I could think of was how much I liked the time travel better. I thought that four versions of each area was too much and it would be too difficult to find anything or get anywhere. And while it is still kinda difficult to traverse the map (thank goodness for fast travel seeds), it's way more intuitive then I expected. Admittedly I have used walkthroughs for certain sections, but still, way better mechanic then I gave it credit for at first.
Dungeons: honestly, I liked these dungeons better then the ages dungeons. Those felt way harder to me and I had to look up more walkthroughs for those. Although I will eternally miss my mermaid's tail, link was so cute like that, the mermaid dungeon with the past and future mechanic was stupid hard to figure out. So these dungeons I'd say are much more fun.
Trading sequence: I didn't do this in ages so this was completely new, but I mostly enjoyed it. I could not for the life of me figure out who wanted the egg or the post, but the rest I figured out all by myself. And the better sword is very nice.
Despite it all though, all i can think is where's my guy Ralph :((((( I miss himmmmmm
Oh also queen ambi is here to go on a date with her dead pirate boyfriend so good for her.
And Zelda! She's here bc of the linked game, but I'm happy to see her. Before I entered the last dungeon she decided to leave the safety of her and Impa's house to go cheer up the residents of the local village, and I just think that's sweet :)
Anyways, I've thoroughly enjoyed it, oracle games underrated, and have this picture of din and link dancing
