Im so fucking happy this site is starting to wake up to the fact that all those inbox fundraisers were scams taking advantage of the way this site calls anyone who questions a sob story a genocide supporter. Like not to be completely smug about it and go "i told you so" but I've been saying it since the crisis began, including that you can't trust a "vetting process" that won't tell you what that fucking process is

Wow gee, I wonder if the post that says "if you ignore this, you are dooming my family to death" is a scam. It must sound exactly like a robocall clogging up my voicemail claiming someone filed a lawsuit against me for legitimate reasons. Oh you're "vetted"? By whom? What's their process? What are their credentials? Can you back up those credentials through a credible source? No? Then they're not vetted and probably in on it. Get out of my voicemail

Surely these posts and blogs get deleted and sniped off the site because staff just hates Palestinians so much and not because they're literally scam bots capitalizing on the culture here to steal all your money and spamming every tag under the sun

The only thing this whole mess taught me is that I could literally make up some horrible illness or life or death situation Belle Gibson style, put up a gofundme, spam every user's inbox with it and collect thousands of dollars of revenue for some "experimental treatment" that "youre dooming me to death if you ignore" and not only would I collect on it, but everyone here would call anybody who called me out for being a scammer a bigoted shithead.
