The end of story (Buried Alive)
Indeed, 2001 was a good year. She still remembered the day she was admitted to the animation team of the institute, the time they were given that blue uniform with gray letters, had been one of the highlights of her life ... Audrey, also was in charge of local newspaper, and often she attended classes of Spanish and German, she dreamed to travel to the "old world" and she loved to walk the old streets, the same place that her mother had spoken to her in her childhood. The weekends free, she engaged to play the piano and of course, preparing for final exams ... someday she will be ... lawyer.
All that effort to get to study at a prestigious university, yes, sir, she must be a lawyer and someday she could to help as many people as she likes, what would be proud grandfather Martin, if he saw me ... she thought sadly. She still had work to do, but she would everyone feel proud of her, after all, their parents had to work overtime to afford her she studied...
Test to test; they were doing to climb that ladder slowly culminating in its entry into the university. And finally came the time.
She still remembered her first day, the class was still empty when she arrived, how would be teachers and their peers? And their…? She had so many questions in her head that overlooked the guy who sat to her right.
Thus began her story, stories that can change to color in just one second.
Mikel, that guy was the star player baseball team. A handsome and tall boy with blond hair and gray eyes, with a smile that never you would forget. He also played bass in a group, known nothing, but good…it's a start. They began dating a sophomore in college and after Audrey’s graduating, they decided to move to a house together and… why not? They may even get married soon!!! Everything was fine at first; travel, touching, dinners, parties, and work, much work in the law firm.
The day of the "I do" was the most special day of her life. Surrounded by all her family, people she loved most in the world and she was going to marry with the boy of her dreams, attentive, handsome, friendly, hardworking guy...
Little lasted that joy, they moved soon to another city where they had given work to Mike and soon began the knocking…It was not his fault, she knew it, that cursed for the alcohol and his exhausted job, if he came home and the food should not be prepared and he was angry ... who was to blame? Herself, of course, she should be more aware of her husband ... Blow after blow, after binge drinking, day after day suffer her cross, “buried alive” seemed little for her, but she was to blame…Right? ...
It had been a bad day, she had lost a major case and her boss had rebuked her for it, she still had papers to review, photos view and reports that contrast, and when she got home ... She knew that night everything would end ... because the mistakes she had made until today, she had learned that her fate is something that she could not escape.
More shouting, banging on the wall ... it was not her fault, she only fought, struggled and she pushed him, both fell to the floor ... dark ... silence ... If you were quiet, you could hear the silence to whisper...

There was complete darkness, silence and darkness; there was no moon, no stars. She could not even see a single cloud. Her heart beat harder every time and it was starting to drizzle, so fine rain that soaked to the bone.
Audrey awoke in an alley, alone, soaked and shivering. She was squatting on the floor rocking… Where am I, what it is this place? What happened? ... She does not remember anything. She felt a sense of fear of being alone in the dark. She not even remembers her identity.
There were not many people on the streets, she stood up and she walked a while aimlessly until glimpsed an open bar at this hour. Entering seemed a cozy place, so she sat down in front of the glass facing the street. Looked away, staring ... until front of the bar, she saw a man, a young blonde guy, wearing a baseball kit old ... and he was staring her. She felt some eyes fixed on her; eyes that reproached her, what happened that day, eyes that really knew the truth, but ... What truth?
Audrey left the bar in search of the man ... but she was not to see him, when she turned to her right, she saw the man again, but when she tried to catch him, also disappeared ... Then she ran back to the bar and she asked the bartender who was this man...
- That boy was Mike, player of a baseball team and the husband of a prestigious lawyer. They lived happily until one day, during a fight and a struggle, she killed him, and she died a few hours later ... the bartender said.
- How do you know that? - Audrey asked.
- Because this is the tavern the wandering souls, where spirits roam to find what makes them rest ... the bartender said.
Audrey, ran out of the place without looking back, outside, it had started to rain. She ran and ran until she was out of breath, reaching a small house and finally "with tragic eyes and bloodshot dreams", she knocked on the door...
Sometimes death is not the end of history but it was be the beginning of a new…
