Let’s Animate - Icarus
Module: Immerse yourself in the world of myths and moral messaging using Icarus – the ancient Greek myth as a foundation to develop your storyline. In the original myth Icarus defied his fathers advice and flew too close the sun, melting his wax and feathered wings and falling to Earth. There are various interpretations where the moral is described as the perils of overconfidence /ambition / curiosity / rule breaking. We want you to look beyond the original story, this is not a literal retelling but an opportunity to explore the possible themes behind it. Consider modern applications and think cinematically. Aim to transport the viewer into a world of animated puppetry and theatrics, retelling the tale of Icarus through the lens of a contemporary interpretation in a defined and symbolic manner.
