Faten’s family We are a family of four girls and two boys from Gaza. At the start of the war, we faced terrifying nights, living in constant fear. We were displaced from our home in northern Gaza due to nearby threats, then again when houses around us were bombed. A third displacement occurred when we were forced to move south, enduring harsh weather, food and water shortages, and health issues. Despite these hardships, we continued to face bombings, and my mother was injured. We lost my eldest brother, Nidal, who stayed in northern Gaza and hasn’t been heard from since November 10, 2023. Our family now struggles with extreme difficulties, including the loss of education and jobs. Our lives and dreams have been shattered.
