Probably more fun than Imodium. #oldstuff #history #medicalhistory #goldrushdays (at Old Sacramento)
Curating my study session. Can't do it without juice. #anthropologymajor #greenjuice #archaeology #suchblogger #muchcuration #nontraditionalstudent #oldstuff (at Insight Coffee Roasters - Fremont)
Moment of zen from the hike down trail 4 to wreck beach in Vancouver. The hike is about 10 flights of stairs. #latergram #vancouver #wreckbeach (at Wreck Beach)
Last night in Vancouver fancy food. Top: cod with hazelnuts, chickpea purée, hazelnuts & lemon; beef carpaccio with boysenberry, goat cheddar & salad. Booze: bartender's take on a black Manhattan with mint (!) & a take on a sazerac with a bunch of cool licquers. All SO great! (at Grapes & Soda)
Walked around half of Stanley park/seawall & this bar appeared like a beacon of hope. Apparently BC has a big wine growing industry. This is the second place I've been to with wine on tap. If you eat at the bar, you'll never be truly alone. Cheers!
My neighborhood in Vancouver is very pretty. (at Dunbar-Southlands, Vancouver, British Columbia)
Went to Granville island today and didn't really enjoy it - it was very crowded and hard to really enjoy visiting all the vendors in the market. They also allow cars and there is a ton of construction, which made walking around stressful. I did however, enjoy these things. (at Granville Island)
They let us out here for a few minutes to pick up more passengers, this cool historic car was parked on the other set of tracks. #amtrak #amtrakcascades #trainlyfe (at King Street Station)
Ball so hard motherfuckers wanna fine me (at Union Station (Portland, Oregon))
Last morning in PDX. Taking the train to Vancouver later this afternoon. (at Heart Coffee Westside)
I'm not particularly religious, but I really enjoyed visiting this wonderful park, which has gardens, a meditation chapel and a Catholic Church. (at The Grotto Gardens)
Cleansed the zoo sadness palate with my friend Matt, one of Wes's former coworkers. This bar is completely amazing - they have so many types of whiskies and it has a very old school, Ivy League club feel. (at Multnomah Whiskey Library)
Loved this guy - unfortunately this zoo doesn't appear to do much enrichment. There were no toys or blankets and two other chimps in the troop were rocking back and forth in their enclosure. One was shoving hay around and looked very stressed. Such a shame. #chimpanzee (at Oregon Zoo)
First things first. Blueberry bourbon basil donut from blue star. (at Blue Star Donuts - Hawthorne)
What's a vacation if you aren't aware of what I'm drinking at all times? #tbt to this glamorous spread on Alaska airlines, which offers free beer & wine.
The inspiration came from '1984.' (at Victory)
