Dear White People, Episode 1:

It took A LOT from me to understand why Black African Americans rather not fall in love with other races. Specifically, with whites. It's ancestral trauma: used to be a "wash the race" thing. Mixing up came from persecution, survival and even self-loath. Hey, we in the Caribbean went through the same thing;  but, I understand not everything went down all the same like a lot of things went down in the United States. 

This episode made me remember a flight I worked. A Black African American woman randomly came up to me and my Mexican crew member (or coworker) and said: “Biracial couples are an agenda to annihilate us bothers and sisters. Mixed children are a product of hate, rape, and terrorism.” Then she turned her back on me. I wasn’t angry but my heart did sink. I did end up asking her, “Please define biracial? You mean Asian and Black? Native and Black? White and Black?”  She did stutter and was about to say White and Black but then remained quiet. I understood that her statement didn’t come from hate, but from roots of hurt and anger. 

Ps.

This is not about “reverse racism”, in which for the love of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit and Science and Linguistics, THERE IS NO SUCH THING! Get over yourselves and strip from your corrupted egos! This is about generational trauma. This is about deeply rooted gruesome and oozing hurt, abuse, etc.,etc., that still happening in a country that was purposely systematically built racist and over spilled blood from native Americans and slaves from different countries in Africa. I do NOT justify hatred nor tolerate acts based of hatred but I wont address those with hatred because it’s foolish and it wouldn’t make sense Well, at least if you want an actual win-win resolve.

I’ve seen many drawings of Kagome pregnant and said “It’s my turn!”. The belly was difficult but the real challenge was the kimono’s pattern. I asked for help to some people but at the end I used a pattern of a Kimono that Tomoyo of ‘Sakura Card Captor’ used. xD

Based on the night InuYasha and Kagome’s child was born… Masaru. Kagome labor was hard, but she was able to hear her child cries after a long waiting. At first Inuyasha was scared of the fact of being a father, but after holding his own on his arms, all fears vanished. Even later that very same night, Masaru started crying again but Inuyasha gently picked him up and held him close. When Kagome saw it, all she could was cry of happiness for her family. This one was also very hard to do. Who would thought this poses were so complicated. I know the background sucks, but that’s why I really must to learn to make them. Well, I had many inspirations for this pic. A few ones made by others artists but mainly of the episode 13, when Inuyasha rests in Kagome’s lap. I find so romantic and lovely that scene.^^ This pic is the same pose, however is when kagome’s lives with Inuyasha at last. And even though they are married, she can’t help but blushing like that night when he told her that she smelled good and nice. It may not be perfect, but I’m really happy with this. Enjoy!! This was my very first of Inuyasha. The whole summer, I watched the anime from episode 1 to 167, The Final Act and the movies in the english version (which by the way, i loved it xD). And yes, the faces are like the anime. So don’t say anything because I found many artitst of inuyasha who also draw with the same style of the anime.

Anyway, I also read a few fanfics of InuYasha and not many were about how would their children looked or something. So with the help of my dear sister, I came up with this.xD

Picture this: Inuyasha left with Miroku doing their “jobs” as demon slayers. Which means Kagome is home, outside along with Masaru waiting for Inuyasha under the lights of the sunset. Masaru worried that his future sibling might feel alone with their father, he reached to Kagome’s belly and told the baby: “Don’t worry, little brother. Papa will come soon.” And all Kagome could was but smile at her son consoling the baby.
