But!! That’s not a bad thing!! It’s not “boring science” getting in the way of fun, because this protein still exists, just not like this.

First of all this is kinesin, not myosin, and she’ll thank you to get her name right. She isn’t carrying an endorphin there, she’s carrying a vesicle, a container full of important shit for the cell she’s in. She’s not some office worker up in the brain, she’s a freighter, on the streets working that strut while carrying her precious cargo. A true working class protein, and we love her for it. She doesn’t need some made-up story to be cool, because science is already awesome.

And for the record, myosin may not have this strut, but she’s responsible for all of your muscle movements, so respect her too.
