I was gonna put up Héctor’s moodboard tonight, since I’ve only done Belle’s. I have all the images ready, but I’m having trouble uploading them. I’ll try again tomorrow.

“Is your guitar okay? Crap, i’m sorry,” She said, not knowing how she would pay him back if she had damaged his instrument. “I’m fine. Trust me. Is your guitar okay,” She said.”I hope I didn’t break anything,” She said.
“Sí, sí“ Alejandro answered hastily, reasurring her. “My guitar is fine. It was in its case. Do not worry! Nothing is broken.” He sighed, dusting himself off a bit with his free hand. “Are you sure you are alright? Right now, I am more worried about you than my guitar. You weren’t in a protective case, and it was.”
itskcte:
“i’m sure it’s a lot of fun. i can’t even imagine. i don’t write songs but that sounds like such a fun process. like creating the melody and writing the lyrics to go along with it. i’m jealous, really.” she smiled at the other, leaning over to play with the grass. it was so soft. “no, no, the rough ones sounds better. it’s more genuine.”
“If you’re so jealous, you could always try songwriting yourself,” Alejandro suggested with a casual shrug. “No one is trying to keep you from the fun...I usually start with the lyrics first, if you want my advice. It is like writing a poem. And then I add the melody after.”
jaganhq:
Jagan watched in awe as the man’s fingers skillfully glided across the strings of the instrument. He was entranced, captured by every movement and the gorgeous sounds he produced. He smiled as he listened, gently swaying to the man’s soothing voice and strumming. He was in utter bliss, relaxation washing over him. “You’re incredible, my friend!” Jay said happily, humming along with him.
Alejandro finished the song with a wide smile on his face. “Muchas gracias, amigo! -- I’m glad to see someone enjoying it!” he replied, flattered by the stranger’s complements. He felt himself somewhat torn between wanting to be humble and the need to learn how to gracefully accept complements. “It comes with a lot of practice. But, to me, the hours are worth it.”
recuerdamc:
Xiomara wasn’t really paying attention, she had been sketching what she had seen at the Camden harbor. She didn’t even look up until she had heard a faint voice, one that had sounded so familiar to her, but that sort of deja vu seemed to have been happening almost every day so she wasn’t that phased by it. “Hmm?” She asked before she then realized what the other had said. “Um, do you know any Luis Fonsi?”
“Sí señorita. I know many of his songs. You have good taste!” Alejandro answered, finishing the last few notes of the pattern of his random plucking. Then, he started playing Luis Fonsi’s “Llegaste Tú” It was fun to play, and the smile on Alejandro’s face while he played showed that he was enjoying it. While he wasn’t able to sing the harmonies with himself, he could harmonize with the notes playing from his guitar.
silasflakes:
silas found himself hoping there would be a breeze out by the harbor. it made itself known as it blew through his shaggy hair. a melody and a voice had his ear perking up. his hands scrambled in his pockets for extra cash. he wasn’t likely to spend it on anything more than alcohol or maybe a little weed. he tossed it towards the hat. “hey, do you know wonderwall? every dude with a guitar knows wonderwall!”
Alejandro heard the request, and he could swear he could feel a small part of him die inside. Part of him wondered if he could lie -- or maybe pretend he didn’t know English. Then again, the man was paying. So the guitarist sighed and reluctantly answered. “Ehh...sí, I know it...” How could he not? It was unavoidable. “But...are you sure that is the song you want to request? ‘Dudes with guitars’ can play other things too.”
kcnnedyy:
SHE LOVED MUSIC MORE THAN HERSELF. the melodies ran through her body and filled her heart with so much joy. hearing a local musician made her happier than she’s been in a long time. the music was fun and flowing smoothly, perfect for a nice day. playing something more intense could ruin the mood but the musician seemed to know what she enjoyed. “your songs are amazing. you’re very talented with that thing.”
“Muchas Gracias,” Alejandro replied. “I guess everyone has to have some sort of skill set to work with, no? But I’m not sure if talented is the right word. I picked up a guitar when I was six and I’ve hardly put it down since.” He laughed a bit. Time and energy were definitely involved, yes. But the way his eyes lit up when he played showed that a lot of it was also his passion.

“Music does pay the bills according to my parents.” Tony never had to worry about money in his life. He was what you would call a trust fund baby. His parents were rich and that meant that he was too. “You know if you ever need help in the money department, please let me know. My name is Tony.” Instead of standing any longer, he decided to sit down next to the younger man. They were equals after all.
“Tony. My name is Alejandro...and I appreciate the offer, señor. I can only hope I never have to take you up on it,” he said. “If music was paying your parents’ bills -- does that mean they were musicians? Ah, I’m jealous -- I would have loved to grow up with music in the house! The only musician in my family was me. I guess that means if I have children, I’ll get to share it with them, no?”
jaganhq:
He loved street performers! They gave him the perfect opportunity to bust out his dance moves. The man doing the performing had kind eyes and skillful hands, Jay taking a moment to admire the beautiful melodies coming from the instrument. “How about Jason Mraz’s I’m Yours? Perfect song for a calm day on the water,” he said, smiling.
Alejandro couldn’t help but smile back -- the man’s enthusiasm was almost infectious. “Sí, señor! I agree!” He switched his style from the directionless plucking around he had been doing. He moved his capo to the fourth fret, formed a G chord, and started the relaxed rhythm of the requested song. His accented voice with the lyrics followed, singing out fully when the chorus hit. “And I wont hesitate, no more...”
itskcte:
“that’s too bad. i’d love to see your work in progress, though. that sounds like a process to be involved in.” she shrugged. it was still nice hearing music even if there wasn’t anything in particular. listening to something on your phone was different than hearing it in person. “sure, go ahead. i really don’t know what to pick.” she smiled at the male, moving to take a seat on the ground in front of him.
He listened to her comments and smiled as he finished the song. But when it was over, Alejandro just shook his head. “Bah, the early phases? The process is not as interesting as you seem to think; it’s just messy.” He laughed. “Trust me, you want the finished versions. Those are the ones that are meant for audience ears. Besides, not every song is right for every audience.”
I just wanted her to know that I loved her.
tcnyrivera:
Tony hated that he knew that voice, but was not sure where it was from. It seemed to be happening a lot in this town and he was not sure if he liked it. He turned around as he noticed a boy, maybe about his age, having a hat nearby. “You play for money or your heart?” He chuckled and nodded at the other. “It’s your time, not mine, play whatever you please.”
“Ay -- I want to play for my heart. And I do -- when I can. But, unfortunately, playing for the heart doesn’t exactly pay the bills, chamaco señor. And, well, you’ve gotta work with the skill set you have,” Alejandro shrugged a bit and picked at a few of the strings. “...But you didn’t stop to listen to me complain, you stopped to listen to me play.” He put on a grin, and changed his aimless picking into a proper song -- something upbeat and fun to sing along to.
justunpoquititoloco:
As someone who had a passion for music, there were many instances in her life when Amelia had been emotionally moved by a melody, but the intensity of the feelings that bubbled up when he began playing took her by surprise. Despite quickly getting mental control of herself she was still a little perplexed by her reaction, rationalizing that she was probably just a little tired. The only external sign she gave off to all this was the need to clear her throat before commenting. “Bellísimo, truly. But I’m embarrassed to admit I am not familiar with the song.”
“Muchas gracias -- I’m glad you think so.” Alejandro’s smile only widened upon hearing the complement. “And you have no reason to be embarrassed -- I do not expect you would be familiar with it; I wrote it myself. I admit, you’re first person to hear it -- aside from me.” He paused, glad that his risk had payed off. The lady’s reaction seemed to be positive, which is all he could hope for after sharing a song for the first time -- especially without any other feedback. It made him want to play more music for her -- share its joy.
valcntinv:
it wasn’t often that valentina found herself wandering along the harbor, but occasionally she liked to stare out into the blue and daydream about what it would be like to just sail away and never return. such thoughts led only to disappointment though, and just before she had decided to head home, the sound of a guitar caught her attention and she found herself moving in closer. “ play me whatever your little heart desires, dreamboat, ” she cooed, moving to take a seat next to him. “ i don’t have any money, but maybe my company is fortune enough ?? ”
“Dreamboat?” Alejandro repeated. And did his cheeks start to color? “You flatter me, señorita. And, of course, company is always free. Music -- it is a joy that should be shared with others.” Maybe he was being too much of a push-over, performing for free. But he didn’t need much money -- only enough to keep him fed until his next gig. He wasn’t too worried. Besides, the beautiful weather and nice view of the water had put him in a good mood.
ífcirestofthemall:
Eve had been strolling by the harbor, taking a moment to take in the water and what laid beyond the water. She came along to Alejandro playing his guitar and she smirked. “Playing something slow,” She said with a smile. “It’s such a beautiful night.”
“Sí, it is. I like being by the water when it starts getting dark -- it’s always beautiful.” Alejandro answered. Usually, he was more inclined to follow requests after people put money in the hat, but he was in a good mood -- and the night really was so beautiful -- he followed her request anyway, and played a calm, relaxed rhythm and sang about las estrellas.
