âShare with your own goddamn family, then. Itâs not my job to entertain you.â He took another drag from his cigarette, his eyes still pointed ahead of him, not bothering to look over at her.Â
âAlright, well, your loss.â She reassured him before then walking away.
ShitâŠ.he had missed her.
He spied Katie from across the way, he knew the bow of her dark head and the curved cupids bow of her lips. He knew her eyes were green, even if he couldnât see them. He knew that when she smiled her cheeks formed deep dimples and he knew that when he has kissed her she had gasped his name so sweetly.
He knewâŠ.he knewâŠ.
God, he loved her. Still did, even after all this time.
Jimmy cleared his throat when she had not noticed him, he had met her in the outdoors. Just encase. Tensions were high at the minute. He couldnât risk enclosed spaces. Yet he had a feeling, if she askedâŠ.he would most likely agree.Â
âLong timeâŠâ he said slowly, carefully. those dark eyes strained on her from under furrowed brows. âHeard you were in town Kaitlynâ he used her full name, in an attempt to at least appear as if he had control of his emotions. Even though his heart was jack hammering under his shirt and his palms were sweaty, gripping onto his biceps for an anchor.Â
It was obvious that Katie had missed Jimmy, she had made the biggest mistake of her life by cheating on him even if it was while she was drunk, she had just wished she could take it all back so that things wouldnât be like this now. She wanted so badly to apologize to him, but no matter how hard she tried, he just wouldnât listen to her, thatâs why they were both so perfect for each other, they were both fairly stubborn. âYeah, long time..â She could feel the tension between the two of them rise, but she kept her distance, not wanting the OâHaras see her with what was known as a common enemy. âHow you been?â She asked, pushing a loose piece of hair behind her ear.
Bastien looked up at her, not moving from his position in the chair. âYou can set it on the table.â Running his tongue over one of his canines, he took another drag of the cigarette. âWhy should I give you a hit? Go buy your own pack, itâs not like theyâre expensive.â He shared his cigarettes with family. This girl was definitely not family.
âI know we havenât exactly gotten along due to being in opposing gangs, but sharing is caring.â Katie admitted with a small grin as she sat beside him.
heâs careful as he tiptoes toward the exit, deagle in hand and clutched to his chest, but one squeaky board betrays his weight, and sheâs caught him in the act. teddy spins on his heel with a flourish, waving the gun around as if he doesnât work with the damn things daily. â heeeeey, katie! i was, uh, hoping i could borrow this. yâknow for jobs. â
katie feels bad for confusing teddy with someone else and she lowers her weapon before she then tossed it over to him. âhere, have this one.â she reassured him as she grabbed another one for herself to fix.
bill normally ignored the people around the oâhara chambers not one to strike up unnecessary conversations but considering the barrel pointed right at him he though heâd give her the time of day. without hesitation he maneuvered the gun out of her hand a habit drilled into him in the marines. âyouâd be smart to learn the faces of your allies before pointing your gun at anyone who walks byâ he inspected the weapon it mightâve come from his shop but there was no knowing with the serial number perfectly worn off. he unloaded the magazine before handing it back to her. âiâm a close friend of the familyâ he assured.
katie had no idea that the other was apart of their team until she heard what the other had said, she had never seen them at hq, so she was kind of suspicious at first, but she lowered her weapon, for now. âand youâd be smart to not sneak up on a girl like that.â she reassured him. âespecially one with a really big weapon.â
Jude walked in to see her with the weapons and rose an eyebrow as she came close, weapon poised. He glanced down at it and smiled âClam down sweetheart, Iâm just here with a message for the boss. Ya seen him?â
Katie felt bad for confusing the other for someone else and lowered her weapon. âHeâs in the back.â She reassured the other, or so she thought, she hadnât heard about the most recent that had happened, resulting in their bosses loss.
Katie had been busy, activating the OâHaras weapons when she saw someone at the corner of her eye, sheâd normally ignore them, but there was something different about this person. âCan I help you?â She asked, heading over to the person she had seen with her weapon to their chest, just in case.
For the life of him Felix couldnât remember where all heâd been today. He could only go back about an hour ago in his mind, where he recalled a seedy bar, a bathroom, a cute boy and a powdered substance. Where he was nowâŠeh he had a general idea but he was searching for something and that was more important. He turned to bother the nearest person. âScuse me, have you seen a mobile phone around here? It looks about likeâŠâ he pulled his mobile out of his pocket. âAbout like this, and it has a uhâŠâ Peering closer at the object in his hand he looked up in surprise. âHold up, here it is! Wow you are good. Thank you! Would you like to get a drink?â
Katie normally wouldnât be caught dead being nice to a DeLuca, but she was feeling good today and she decided it was time to stop the petty rivalry between the DeLucas and the OâHaras despite half of them hating each other. âYou mean this one?â She asked, playing on the phone before then tossing it to him. âNo problem and sure, a drink would be nice.â
Time always seemed to move slower on the weekdays. Bastien wasnât sure why that was - maybe because the cops tended to work harder on the weekdays, maybe it was because it felt more socially acceptable to drink on the weekends. Nevertheless, because of how slow time seemed to move, Bastien found himself going through cigarettes quicker during the week. It was almost like he was waiting for something to happen, waiting for a call, or for gunshots, or for something that was just beyond his reach. Taking a drag from the cigarette, he looked up as someone blocked the sun from hitting his skin. âYeah?â
Normally, Katie wouldnât be caught dead being near a DeLuca, but she was trying to be nice for once and her brother said that if she wasnât nice, heâd take away her new IPhone. âUm, you dropped this..â She replied, handing the other his cigarette pack. âMind if I take a hit?â She asked, she hadnât smoked in a while and it relaxed her.
( katie mcgrath, thirty-five, cisfemale, she/her ) â whoa, was that KAITLYN âKATIEâ BARNES i just saw at CONEY ISLAND? iâve seen them around town before, theyâve been here for ELEVEN YEARS. from what iâve heard, they work for the O'HARAâS family. for a CRIMSON, theyâve been known to be ALOOF and BLUNT, but can also be RESOURCEFUL and OUTGOING. i hope they donât cause too much trouble!
Kaitlyn Marie Barnes was born and raised in Miami, Florida.
She moved to New York City at the age of seven when her father had gotten offered a job at the New York Times.
She grew up with two brothers, so naturally, she grew up as somewhat of a tomboy as she never had a sister to show her girly things.
She used to get bullied a lot by people, calling her gaytard despite the fact that she was bisexual. On top of that, her mother died when she was born so she had always felt like it was her fault that her mother had died.
Also it didnât help that thatâs what her drunkard of a father always said to her whenever he drank so heavily that heâd physically abuse her, but her brothers had always gotten her out of the situation.
She didnât join the OâHaras until her elder brother joined them, looking for a new place to live away from their abusive father.
The OâHaras were like a second family to her, way better than her biological one, youâd often find her mistakenly calling her bosses her moms and dads, but only her brothers caught onto that and it put a smile on their face knowing they were somewhat away from harm.
