this speech that evangeline has no personality is nothing more than misogyny. evangeline has a personality: she is a dreamy girl who loves fairy tales, who likes pretty dresses, cooking, animals and dreams of true love. she's stubborn, she's proud and she's smart.

there's a scene in tbona that i love (chapter 9), when evangeline is infected with vampire venom, and chaos asks jacks if he thinks it's better to lock her up. he says yes, he knows she will fight against their decision, he doesn't underestimate her. i love this scene because it just shows that jacks sees her, that he recognizes her strength, that he knows she will fight him and chaos and whoever wants to lock her up. he, more than anyone, knows her and knows that she is dreamy and kind and gentle. he doesn't underestimate her, and neither of us should.

evangeline is just not the stereotypical female warrior character who wants to hold a sword, is rude to others and unpleasant. she is a character supported mainly by feminine archetypes that are unpleasant for those who do not know how to recognize any other type of strength, therefore, who have a limited vision of what a woman with a 'strong personality' should look like. not knowing how to recognize this is precisely misogyny.
