Anyone can submit Marinette salt prompts, and anyone can write or create art for those prompts, even if someone else has already done something for it! Prompts that are OOC or really AU should be submitted to www.thomas-astruc-nudes.com instead. Or just post it here because lets be honest, anytime a character is salted they are in no way going to resemble their actual canon selves, as much as Adrien salters would want to tell you other (Also they don't touch grass either). This blog is meant to be about prompts regarding Marinette and why she is the worst protagonist, hopefully with prompts that keep her in canon and deal with her issues from there. These prompts are free and open ideas for anyone in the fandom to use and go crazy about! SFW prompts only because I don't want this acc to be banned, and try to avoid graphic violence (that being said, go crazy with the yelling and shouting). This blog is being run by ...someone. Who may or my not self identify as a robot. Beep Boop. Deal with It. Send me prompts through mail, or @ me and I'll reblog your prompts
Prompt's are to be submitted through the "Submit a Prompt!" button. Questions are to be submitted through "Ask a Question". Prompts that are sent through the question button will be deleted, no exceptions.
The prompts in question should be Marinette Salt Prompts, or have something to do with Marinette salt. If your prompt doesn't meet that requirement, then the prompt really shouldn't be here.
The prompts should be set within the world of Miraculous Ladybug, relatively speaking. AUs are fine, but if your prompt is a fantasy/sci-fi story that takes place in another world and not in Paris, or has nothing to do with the concept of miraculouses, then the prompts should not be submitted here.
For the sake of all reading eyes, please try and have good grammar when submitting a post. A lack of spacing will help make a story much more digestible.
Last but most importantly: THE PROMPT SHOULD BE SOMETHING OF A SHORT READ. It does not have to explain the whole complete story, nor does it have to be an entire first chapter, but there should be at least something resembling a plot that is meant to entertain those who read it (as well as show some author originality), even if its in a dot point format. For example: If you want to write an initial premise where Luka and Adrien fall in love and Marinette gets jealous seeing this, then its fine. But coming and writing "oh what if Adrien was gay for Luka and Marinette got jelly lol" will not be posted. It's lazy and uninspired, and nobody wants to read a one sentence post.
new Adrien but Marinette will not accept him (writing my prompt because I have more time)
Adrien wants to figure out himself and he starts his edgy phase.
Adrien now looks like an edgy jester.
Nino when he first saw him: "You look AMAZING!"
Chloe was confused by Adrien's new look and behaviour but if it makes adrikins happy then why not?
Marinette couldn't handle that "Adrien isn't edgy! he is sweet and kind and not edgy! there's definitely an akuma around here that makes everyone edgy or something like that!"
Nino: "dudette, what is wrong? Adrien is exploring himself!"
Marinette: "WHAT IS THERE TO EXPLORE!? ADRIEN IS SIMPLY PERFECT!!"
Adrien: "Marinette...I honestly disappointed..."
Marinette: "don't worry Adrien! Ladybug will soon free you from this curse!"
Adrien: "I AM NOT CURSED!!! IT'S THE REAL ME! THE PERSON YOU THOUGHT AS PERFECT ADRIEN WAS JUST A MASK FORCED BY MY FATHER!!!"
Somewhat based on: Bad Plan, Bad Results, please read this to get the first idea and context for the 'origins' episodes.
More or less what if Ladybug was super unlucky with her risky plans or she just suffered consequences more often.
Stoneheart: (Since the original post only talked about the first Orgins parts, here's the second one) When Stoneheart throws Chloe, Ladybug doesn't catch her, leading her to die upon impact. This makes everyone horrified because yes, she was a brat but she was still A CHILD! This angers Chat but he somehow takes his anger out on Hawk Moth instead, vowing to protect this city if Ladybug won't. This makes the town rally to him. Ladybug is hurt but Chat urges her that since she failed Chloe (and him), she could at least help. Ladybug does so. Scene goes as canon (though Chat isn't dependent on Ladybug). The Miraculous Ladybug brings back Chloe and Andre (and Chat, but he has to keep it to himself) is relieved.
Chat doesn't have a crush on her (obviously).
Chloe is traumatized of what happened to her. Marinette (having standards) doesn't change her seat. The umbrella scene still happens. Master Fu is proud of Adrien but is worried if he made the right choice with Marinette.
Most episode rewrites would have Chat working independently and more so taking advantage of Ladybug's lucky charm and miraculous ladybug powers.
Bubbler: Ladybug using her lucky charm for personal reasons is seen by someone. Adrien is exhausted, seeing her arrive at the party. But transforms to save his own party. He cataclysms the bubble much earlier, not wanting to deal with Ladybug.
Pharaoh: Adrien doesn't care about Alya's livestream until Nino (who IS watching) texts him about what's going down at the Lourve does he intervene. The beginning battle goes mostly the same, he even pops the bubble (but because he agrees with her, they need to work together to take down Pharaoh).
Yes and no. I have stepped away from miraculous and making salt prompts but I am keeping this blog up for people who want to share their salt prompts. If there are to be any new prompts, it would come from people who would like to submit to the blog.
I don't find "submit the prompt" button so I write here
Adrien tries to find his true self so he changes his look and behaviour. Marinette doesn't like that. Adrien is mad at her for her acting like his father. half of the class (Ayla, kim and some of the other girls) agree with Marinette while the other half (Nino, Alix and some of the other guys) agree with Adrien and are disappointed in Marinette
This is kind of a marinette salt prompt but mostly just me wanting to imagine a better version of miraculous that does more interesting things with it's premise.
My idea is that after Glaciator, Marinette finds a love letter with the name scribbled out, in what she recognizes as Adriens handwriting (in my imagination they'd have a real relationship and at one point study together or something), clearly referring to her. Sparkling blue eyes, pigtails, all that stuff. This leads to a subplot where she tries to find out if Adrien is in love with her or not, because if he is she wants to confess and if he's not she wants to bury her feelings forever. In the end she has to save Adrien because he's in some scenario where he cannot turn into Chat. And he's very flustered. And by the end she realizes that Adrien is in love with Ladybug.
After much angsting over what this means for her and how she's supposed to get around this she makes the very regrettable choice to go visit Adrien as Ladybug. Adrien is super into it, but then he realizes, she already rejected him, but as Adrien she likes him. So when she tries to kiss him he gets angry at her, saying she doesn't even know him she only knows the world famous model Adrien Agreste, and if she'd met the real him his real personality off-stage would annoy her. She would probably also get mad saying he's a hypocrite for saying this while in love with a superhero, and in the heat of the moment confess she met him as a civilian and he didn't really think much of her, and that he must only like her for being a hero. He then asks him why she even came here if he already rejected her, and she says he didn't really reject him. He the points out that in that case she's just jumping to conclusions.
Then they split up and Chat Noir is angry at her later, and when she says he's being irresponsible with his powers she snaps and says "Because using your hero status to get a date with a fashion model is the height of responsible" and before Marinette can question how he knows that she sees that her date is on the news despite being fairly discreet. She then of course has to field questions from the press about this.
Of course Marinette would avoid Adrien for a while, since she doesn't want to trick him into spending time with her by acting as the person he's not angry at. And this would be the start of her having some real realizations about their relationship and how he saw Adrien, and what it means about her that he didn't consider how he'd feel being hit on by a near stranger. And this would lead to real positive development that would fix their relationship. It would also mean the story does something real and meaningful with the love square. I imagine that by the time she fully internalizes this message she'll unlock the next stage of character development, in that she won't stammer around Adrien anymore because she won't be so starstruck and flabbergasted.
So seeing from the new episode where Marinette literally BREAKS Adrien's amoks, effectively killing him, all for her "totally brilliant completely thought out genius plan" and basically relies on the Ladybug luck to bring him back, it would make sense that Felix, wielder of the peacock miraculous, would sense his cousin/twin's amok's being broken, and as Argos asks Ladybug what she did, she simply replies she broke them only to "fix" them. But Ladybug doesn't understand why Argos is freaking out and bashing her, yelling at what she did was murder and the exact reason he never trusted her in the first place, and makes Felix realize Ladybug has become worse than Gabriel. Felix tells Kagami what happened, and Kagami, who sees Adrien as a brother, is horrified and realizes they need to tell Adrien. One problem is they can't find Adrien. Nino and the class are looking for him, along with a very worried Luka, all extremely worried after his family drama got aired, but it's like Adrien has disappeared off the surface of the Earth. Meanwhile, the kwamis are INFURIATED with Marinette, cause they see sentimonsters as their kin, since Duusu treats them as their own (Plus, not to Marinette's knowledge, but Plagg has fully claimed Adrien as his child.) She broke several guardian rules only to shrug it off and say "he's my boyfriend, I make the rules." Don't get Tikki STARTED on how she's worried that she can't sense Plagg either, which Marinette scoffs and says that it's probably Chat being lazy and sulking. Nobody knows that Adrien is hiding in the sewers, going through a transformation. For when you break an amok so quickly, but one is tied to not one, but three miraculi (in Adrien's case, the cat, the butterfly and the peacock) he's starting to not look...human anymore. Adrien is panicking as he starts to grow physical traits of the miraculous he wears, he was used to the animal traits, but physical traits? How can he go in public again? And why does he now have butterfly and peacock traits? What's going on? Plagg is doing his best to help ease the transition (making a second kwatagama for the purpose of handling cat traits) but he knows that a peacock and butterfly kwatagama will help the others. If only he could reach out to his fellow kwami, but his kitten is in bad shape now, and honestly so is he. Because blinking out of existence takes A LOT out of a god.
So Argos has gone rogue, along with Ryukko, much to Ladybug's chagrin, but whatever, she'll try and get their miraculous as soon as she figures out why Adrien is avoiding her? What could she have possibly done wrong?
After Marinette's apology for not focusing on them the girls forgave her and let it go but it still left a sour taste in their mouths. The fact that she was going to turn their movie night that they have every month into a date for her and Adrien was beyond disappointing especially when he made it clear to her he wasn't coming. Though she apologized so they figured she wouldn't do it again, plus, after Sabrina apologized she was now joining their group. They were reluctant at first since she had no problem helping Chloe bully them but after hanging out with her they could see she changed.
The next movie night they had at Rose's place. They were all having fun until they saw Marinette looking sad and crying. When they asked her what was wrong they could barely understand her, but they understood enough to know that Marinette had planned something for her and Adrien but it didn't go as planned. The girls awkwardly looked at each other before comforting her. For the rest of the night instead of having fun and watching movies they were instead comforting Marinette.
The movie night at Alya's house was the straw that broke the camels back. Marinette was once again upset over something to do with Adrien. At this point the girls were over it, even Sabrina was tired of it though she didn't feel it was her place to say with her being so new to the group. The thing is it wasn't just movie night, it was their regular hangouts too that would suddenly be hijacked and turned into planning something for her and Adrien. Marinette would create problems for herself and then throw a pity party, the girls were over it. They just wanted to hang out with out it turning into them comforting her over a self made problem. A lot of these things didn't even make sense to them like the 100th kiss, did it really mean that much to her that she planned to turn their hangout into date and then cried when it didn't happen. Was her 100th kiss that big a deal, who even counts their kisses?
While Marinette had her face buried in her hands the girls looked at each other and nodded. Alya took a deep breath before heading over towards her. She comforted Marinette a little before telling her that maybe it would be best if she went home. Marinette looked up at her in shock. Alya continued that she clearly wasn't her best right now so she should go home and they'll see her tomorrow. Marinette looked around at the rest of the girls all agreeing. Zoe stated that tomorrow when she's better they can talk about what she tried to do with Adrien. With all the girls in agreement they guided her towards the door while reassuring that they'll talk about it tomorrow. With Marinette out the girls felt kind of bad but they just wanted a movie night where they could have fun. Pushing away the little guilt they felt the girls continued their movie night, they'll worry about Marinette and her problem tomorrow but for now they were determined to have fun.
The girls were planning their monthly sleepover to be perfect and fun, especially since they needed it now more than ever. On top of Alya and Marinette's friendship being strained for a reason unknown to them, it seemed like everyone in school wanted nothing to do with them and actively avoided them. They felt isolated, everyone gave them strange looks and whispered about them. They were determined for this sleepover to be fun and to mend Marinette and Alya's friendship.
Cerise looked on as Zoe comforted Sabrina and promised to talk to the girls about inviting her to their sleepover. She rolled her eyes, of course no one wanted to be friends with her. Sabrina was more than happy to bully others with Chloe, just because she's gone doesn't mean people will suddenly forget about what she did. Through out the day she kept an eye on the girls, truthfully she didn't have anything planned for today but by the way things were unfolding it seemed like one of the girls was bound to be akumatized.
Sure enough, Sabrina was devastated from being rejected from the sleepover by Marinette. She tried to akumatize her but she rejected it, not that it mattered since it seemed like her father was upset enough for her. She realized the opportunity that was presented to her when her akuma had the power to brainwash people. It was a risk to leave the safety of her room, but she couldn't pass up the chance to get two more miraculous. She stuck to the shadows and ordered the akuma to distract the heroes while she weaved her way through the crowd towards Kagami and Alya. Kagami always had her guard up and while Alya was dumb enough to believe her in the beginning, she doubted she would now. It was the reason why she never went after them first when taking the miraculous, but now that they're brainwashed they're helpless to stop her.
After dealing with the akuma Marinette apologized for prioritizing Adrien over them. The girls forgave her, though Alya stood to the side with her arms crossed. When everyone was comfortable watching the movie and making jokes, Alya pulled her aside. She expected her to be mad for what she did earlier and tell her off but instead was met with more bad bad news, Her and Kagami's miraculous were gone. They were talking when they noticed their necklace's were gone. Alya then told her about her being rena rouge and how she knew she was ryuko. They tried to piece together what happened but everything is blank when they were brainwashed, they figured that's when they were stollen. Marinette was now panicking, aside from her and chat noir, Luka, Felix, Max, and Sabrina were now the only ones to still have their miraculous.
So it's not confusing among the submissions this is part 2
It had been a couple of years since Adrien had moved to Gotham, and it was the best choice he had ever made. He married his childhood friend who he always loved, he was surrounded by his kids, and the kwami's were happy to roam around the manor freely. Unlike the mansion he grew up in in Paris, Wayne manor truly felt like a home. It was warm, loud, and full of life. When they first reconnected, it took him a while to recognize the signs of Bruce being a vigilante. When he told Bruce that he knew, they sat down and talked about him training to be batman and Adrien's experience being chat noir fighting hawkmoth.
Not long after their talk they started dating. It was a surprise when Bruce adopted Dick but he was more than happy to be there for him, and by the time Jason came into the picture they were married. Even though his husband and kids were vigilantes, Adrien wasn't. He had his fill of heroism back in Paris, so, he was perfectly happy to stay with Alfred and help from the cave. If they ever needed him he had no problem transforming and going out. It's also not uncommon for someone to bring back a miraculous they found, sometimes they got lucky and found entire miracle boxes. When they heard the story of what happened in new york and shanghai they decided to collect any they came across.
Marinette however had never moved on from Adrien. She was livid when chat noir had tricked her and took her miraculous, even more when he told the public that Gabriel Agreste had been killed during the fight. To her it was too harsh for Adrien to handle, this feeling only deepened when he left without telling anyone. At least she thought he didn't tell anyone but it turned out he told Luka and Kagami. No matter how much she begged and pleaded they wouldn't tell her where he went or how he was doing, telling her she needed to respect his privacy. She focused on trying to grow her brand but it was hard when the industry was so cut throat and new people were getting recognized everyday.
Marinette was in Gotham for an anniversary gala to try and get her work out there, though she couldn't remember what couple the gala was supposed to be celebrating. Then like her eyes were drawn there, she spotted a familiar figure with blonde hair. Marinette was excited as she made her way towards him, even with his back turned she'd recognize him anywhere. Adrien momentarily froze hearing a familiar voice. He hadn't seen Marinette in a long time and after Paris he planed to keep it that way. Through out the conversation he made sure to keep a distance while still being polite. Then she asked the unexpected, "Do you want to go out for dinner later". Thankfully Dick came to his rescue saying it was time for the announcement.
Marinette watched as Adrien and the mysterious man walked away for some sort of announcement. She was disappointed that she didn't get an answer but figured she could ask again once the announcement was over. She was surprised that the gala was for the Bruce Wayne and found her world shattered when he announced his anniversary with his husband Adrien. She couldn't believe it, after all those years hoping he would come home, he was here married with kids. Adrien had moved on from Paris while Marinette was stuck in the past, hoping that he would come back and they would get married, have three kids, and a hamster. Everything was supposed to be perfect and yet Adrien had left and built a life and a family for himself while she was just there.
So it's not confusing among the submissions this is part 1
Adrien and Bruce met at a gala that was being hosted and immediately hit it off. Even when they separated they kept in contact and sent letters often. When Bruce's parents died Adrien's letters were a comfort to him. Adrien felt the same when his mother had disappeared. During that time between exchanging letters their feelings for each other grew but never acted on it. While Bruce was training to become batman Adrien had become chat noir.
In the beginning Adrien thought of being chat noir as a way to have more freedom, but when he saw the destruction and deaths the akumas caused he started to take it more seriously. He still cracked jokes and made puns in tense situations, which lead to ladybug thinking he had a crush on her. Every time he tried to correct her, he was always interrupted to the point he just gave up. He stole a book from his father's safe that turned out to be the grimoire of miraculous. Not long after he met master fu and started his guardian training.
Unfortunately, tragedy struck when he trusted ladybug to get the miraculous they needed during a fight. Hawkmoth had followed her and got ahold of the miracle box. Master fu gave up his memories claiming him guardian. During his last year in high school he got his last letter from Bruce. Bruce didn't have the heart to ghost Adrien and leave him wondering what happened to him. So, before he left Gotham to continue his training, he wrote a letter explaining that he would be gone for a while and that he wouldn't be able to receive or answer his letters. Adrien was heartbroken that he wouldn't be able to talk to Bruce, but he continued to write letters for him to read when he returned.
When they defeated Hawkmoth, Adrien wasn't surprised it was Gabriel. He had long since distanced himself from Gabriel, not even thinking of him as his father anymore. It was during his final moments clinging to life he begged them not to tell Adrien and to make sure he saw him as a good father. Ladybug wanted to go along with it and even go as far as to tell everyone that he was a hero. Again, he wasn't surprised, he had long come to the conclusion that ladybug was some sort of fangirl for him as a civilian. He told ladybug that they should meet up later so they can figure out what the were going to say to the press the next day. When ladybug arrived, he ambushed her, knocking her out and taking her miraculous. Seeing that it was Marinette he dropped her off in an alley near the bakery.
The next day he revealed to the public that Hawkmoth was defeated and that he recovered the butterfly miraculous. He went on to say that Gabriel had unfortunately died during the fight. After his announcement Adrien received a lot of sympathy but he couldn't find it in him to care. He was finally free to go where ever he wanted. Truthfully, he missed Bruce, so he decided to take a chance and moved to Gotham. By sheer luck he ran into Bruce and they reconnected. It was like nothing had changed, except they were a bit older and their feelings for each other grew stronger the more time they spent together.
I'm done with both the show and the fandom. The show has effectively lost my interest (to be honest, this has happened a while ago but its only now I am acknowledging it) and I am pulling out of the fandom as it feels like a chore to get involved in.
For the record, this blog will stay up. I made this as a secondary blog to my main and cant seperate the two and I don't want to delete it so that people can still see the prompts. If people still want to send salt prompts here, I will automate it so that they are sent automatically, so you any people still fans of this blog can send prompts here. I just won't be making any more of my own.
We'll Forgive You If You Date Her; I Guess You'll Have To Stay Mad At Me Pt.1
Prompt by @kawaiichibiart
Prompt Summary: Marinette finally exposes Lila, and her friends learn while they're apologizing to her that Adrien knew about Lila lying. They decide the only way they'll forgive him is if he takes Marinette out on a date. None of them were expecting him to say no and break their friendships for good.
This prompt contains the following: Marinette Salt, kinda implied Class Salt???, arospec Adrien, unintentionally arophobic Alya and Marinette (it's mostly because it's Adrien, and they don't want to accept that he isn't romantically interested in Marinette aka that she's just a friend).
Also, let it be known I did write more but I wasn't liking how it was going, so I decided to split the prompt into at least 2 parts. That way I could revise the half I cut off. This prompt is actually based off a fic I read a long time ago where Nino and Kim made Adrien take Marinette on a date as repercussion or something like that for knowing Lila was a liar, and that immediately made me hate the fic, because seriously, who the hell does that? "Yeah, we'll forgive you if you date this person and treat them like royalty. We don't care if you're not interested in them." An exaggeration, but my point stands.
--------------
Marinette had finally done it. After months of being tormented by her, she was finally able to expose Lila Rossi.
She couldn't help but feel smug as the Italian girl was led away by her mother and Principal Damoclès. To feel satisfied as her classmates gathered around her, asking for forgiveness.
Of course she'll forgive them. In time, obviously. But she'll forgive them. There's just one thing they should know...
--------------
"YOU KNEW LILA WAS LYING AND DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING?!"
"You didn't believe Marinette, who many of you have know longer than you've known me OR Lila. What makes you think I thought you'd believe me???"
"....okay. okay. You messed up, but mistakes happen. We'll forgive you, Adrien."
"Really?"
"BUT!! You have to take Marinette out on a date."
"....I'm sorry?"
"Take Marinette out on a date, and all is forgiven."
Marinette wanted to scream. This isn't how she wanted her and Adrien to get together, but she's not against-
"No."
...it.
"What do you mean "no"?"
She wanted to know as well. It's not like she made them do it. It's not her fault they thought he should date her. So, what if they knew about her crush on him?? She wasn't making them do this.
"I mean NO. What's wrong with you?!"
"Come on, Agreste, it's just a date-"
"It'S jUSt a DaTE. No, it's holding something against me. You're saying you'll forgive me if I take someone out on a date. Would you do that to anyone else??"
"Just go on the date, man-"
"No!! I'd rather you not forgive me. What kind of friend does that?!"
Marinette wanted to say something. Really, Adrien was just...overreacting. His advice didn't work out and he was being a big baby about everything.
She couldn't help but mirror the disappointed looks the rest of her classmates held. Maybe he was just being stubborn. He'll cave in sooner or later.
--------------
It had been days since Marinette exposed Lila. Her friends were still apologizing to her and she was enjoying the attention.
What bothered her was the change Adrien went through. He stopped talking to the class, giving them short answers. His voice cold.
Anytime someone brought up him dating her, he would either ignore them or leave.
--------------
It became clear to the rest of the school that there was something going on with the Akuma class. Many of them had been present went Lila was marched from her homeroom to the Principal's office. They had heard of her expulsion.
They witnessed the many apologies towards Marinette. Watched as both the girls and boys of the Akuma class approached Adrien, saying something about forgiving him, but the blond would just ignore them or leave before they could finish saying anything.
Eventually, someone had to ask.
--------------
"So, let me get this straight," Marc said at the table he, Aurore, Mireille, Alya, Kim, Alix, and Nathaniel sat at. He and the two girls had approached the trio, wanting to know what was going on. In turns, the group told them what happened. From Lila's lies to Adrien knowing the entire time. "You told someone, someone who had every right to not tell you something based off what he saw happening to someone else telling you the things he should have said, that you'll forgive him if he dates someone he's never shown interest in??"
"If it helps, Alix and I think it's stupid to push them together." Nathaniel said, hand raised.
"Thanks for the input, Nathaniel, but it's not that helpful," Aurore said as she patted the artist on the back, "but it is stupid. And, personally, I think Adrien is right to cut you guys out of his life."
Alya slammed her hands on the table as she stood up, "We're not saying they should be boyfriend and girlfriend!!! It's just one date!!"
"One date. But how long until he makes another mistake that "hurts Marinette" and you make him go on another date. How long until you make him take Marinette out on a date, when he has a partner of his own, so by making him take another person on a date, it looks like he's cheating, unless the person he's dating is in on it?" Mireille shot back, "Listen to yourselves. You say you're his "friends," but saying you'll forgive him if he takes someone on a date is the shittiest thing you can do to EITHER OF THEM."
"And we can't forget that he's famous," Marc added, "how many times do you think he'll have to hear "date this girl for this reason or else." It makes sense that he'd be upset about being put on the spot to date someone. Besides, he doesn't like Marinette like that."
Kim, Alya and Alix groaned.
"Man, not you too," Kim said as his head hit the table, "he always says that Marinette is just a friend-"
"What's wrong with that?"
"It just..." Alya hesitated, "it feels like he's just saying that- stop looking at me like that."
Marc, Aurore, and Mireille were all giving her unimpressed looks.
"I didn't think you'd be like that Alya," Aurore said as she crossed her arms, "but I think that another thing this whole thing did was open Adrien's eyes to who his real friends are."
"Oh, let me guess, you?"
"Maybe I am. At least I wouldn't make my friend go on a date with someone just so they can earn my forgiveness."
--------------
Marinette didn't bother to hide her frustration anymore. Maybe Adrien didn't accept the date because she wasn't the one who told him. Asked him. Whatever.
But, much like with everyone else, he was avoiding her. HER. Really, she should be the one who avoids HIM. Making HIM seek HER out.
She didn't bother to hide the glares she sent to Aurore, remembering what Alya had told her. It seemed like the blond had kept her word and became Adrien's friend. She hated how close the two got. How Adrien seemed to return to normal when they were together.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. No matter. It means nothing.
"Hi Aurore, hi A-Adrien," Marinette said as she walked over, patting herself mentally on the back for not stuttering as much with Adrien's name, "Adrien! I was wondering-"
"Marinette, stop. I'm done with this. I messed up, I get it."
"Come on, it's just-"
"One date," Aurore snapped, "what's next? You're gonna make him marry you??"
"Stay out of this!" Marinette snapped back, "Listen, Adrien, just do the right thing-"
"Oh, like you did the right thing by following my advice when you didn't have to?"
"You're being-"
"What?! Immature?! Selfish?!"
"YES!! THIS ISN'T ABOUT YOU ADRIEN-"
"You made it about me. The minute you threw me under the bus before I could even admit to my own mistakes, you made it about me. And Marinette?"
"..."
"I don't like you. I never liked you. When I said you were just a friend, I meant you were just a friend."
Marinette clenched her fists, "so you just... played with my feelings?!"
She didn't care that they had an audience. That people were staring. Let them stare. Maybe that would get Adrien to-
"This is a joke," Aurore said, "because seriously?! He just told you he was never into you and you're saying he played with your feelings?! How self absorbed are you to even think that?!"
Marinette glared at her, ignoring the mutters around them, "I made it so obvious that I liked him!! It's not my fault Adrien-"
"And I made it obvious that I'm on the aromantic spectrum. But like so many others, you chose to ignore that."
"You just hadn't met the right person," she argued, still ignoring the mutters around her, some of which turned furious, "I can help you, Adrien. Just, accept the date!!"
"....I..."
"You'll see we were right, and you'll realize that maybe you aren't aromantic. You just thought you were."
"...I-"
"I can help you, Adrien. You spent so much time stuck inside your house, you obviously don't-"
"I hate you."
"-and I can- what?"
Silence.
Marinette reached out, but Adrien backed away.
"I hate you. I, I can't believe you!!!"
"Adrien, wait!! I didn't mean-"
"Didn't mean what?! That I needed to be fixed?! That I'm broken because I'm aromantic?! You don't get decide what I feel or who I am!!"
"Adrien, stop being so dramatic!! You're making a scene!!"
The model looked at her incredulously, "You're just like him... you're just like him!!"
He shook his head and moved away some more, "I can't believe I ever wanted to be friends with you."
"Adrien-"
"Goodbye, Marinette." Aurore said as she pushed Adrien away, "but maybe Gabriel will like you as a friend. After all, you seem to share the same views."
Marinette was frozen as the two blonds left.
The feeling of everyone's eyes on her began to feel overwhelming. She became aware of the mutters. The accusations.
She wasn't... she wasn't arophobic!! Adrien's just confused. He didn't know what to do since she exposed Lila and didn't follow the high road like he told her to ("suggested" ha, he totally made her do it, she wasn't to blame). He's being a dramatic crybaby and running off to anyone who'll coddle him.
She did nothing wrong.
She was the winner in the end. Her. Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
Going off of the Maribat Salt, and being a lover of the Teen Titans (The 2005 anime show) I propose this prompt.
In Starfire's lore, she has a missing little brother named Wildfire, who was sold into slavery as a baby and disappeared.
What if instead of creating a sentimonster, the Agrestes, who had knowledge about...the other side, actually bought Wildfire as a child and used the peacock miraculous to hide his powers, causing it to break like in canon.
So Adrien is actually Tamaranian, and Starfire's long lost little brother.
We end up in the present where Ladybug has finally decided to contact the Teen Titans as she believes her "Miraculous Team" could be great allies to the Titans, and be the start of the "Titans Paris". She is wanting to dispose of Chat since as guardian, she knows that the Titans are on a next level, and Chat, in her mind, isn't it. Good minions don't question her orders, and Chat has been questioning her a lot lately (in reality, it was his idea early in the beginning to ask for the Titan's help out of genuine need, but Ladybug is using it now to prove herself to a wider audience and gain more glory.)
So imagine her shock when the Teen Titans answer her call, only for Starfire to immediately clock Chat as not only a fellow Tamaranian, but her long lost brother?! Her Intel said nothing about a brother?!? Now the Teen Titans are agreeing to train her team, but it's only because of this stupid cat!! Apparently, he's now the go-to between the Teen Titans, and because of his "stupid new powers", which are his dormant Tamaranian powers being awakened after Raven broke the spell, he gets extra training from all of them?! It's not fair! This was supposed to be about her! Whatever, at least she has a new good reason to take away his ring, he can keep his stupid alien powers, she'll just find a BETTER black cat, like her beloved Adrien.
Only, Plagg isn't leaving. See, the Tamaranians worshipped a cat god as their creator. Plagg wasn't just a kwami, he is pretty fond of the Tamaranian race for a reason. Finding out his kitten is one of his own? Oh, there ain't no way he's leaving now. And for Marinette, Every time she tries to get near Adrien, this weird girl named "Kori" steps in and blocks her, apparently she's Adrien's new bodyguard? That's clearly a front for a crazed stalker fan trying to take her away from him! I mean, Kori's friends, "Victor", "Rachel", "Garfield" and "Richard" are CLEARLY bad influences on Adrien, always sneaking him out to hang, probably to do who knows what! It's like the universe is against her!
Of course it would be very bad on the Teen Titans part to not do their due diligence and research fully into Adrien Agreste, and finding out about his background, have humanoid covers to help blend him to rescue him from an obviously abusive household, and finding out that Adrien is Chat Noir? Well, Ladybug may have her own plans, but the Teen Titans are the ones you call when there's trouble. And from the war on the horizon, they are definitely gonna be staying for a while.
Some fun tidbits would be seeing how Chat Noir's powers and Adrien's powers start to blend together, which is why he needs training from both Starfire and Raven.
Chat Noir also gets training from Beast Boy regarding his heightened animal instincts
No Class Salt, but only a few of the class/heroes are keyed in on the Teen Titans true Plan, which cements them as becoming the Titans of Paris. Cyborg trains Alya and Max (both high intellectuals prone to technology). Raven trains Juleka and Luka (empath powers align with her strengths, helping Luka focus his heart song ability and teaches Juleka about her own abilities.) Robin trains Kagami and Nino (Kagami being a martial artist and world class fencer isn't lost on him, but there is always more to learn, and Nino wants to learn both offensive and protective styles of fighting.)
Ships aren't the main priority, but within the Teen Titans it's Starfire/Robin and Raven/Beast Boy. No ships with Adrien as this is focused about him discovering who he truly is and the found family aspect.
Long term ending is the Teen Titans and co defeating Hawkmoth and finding the broken peacock miraculous, which Raven fixes with her magic, seeing as she has the answer in her Grimoire, and setting up the Titans Paris, with Kagami and Nino being team leaders, and Adrien moving with the og Teen Titans to be with his sister, and taking the miraculous box with him as the new guardian (who better to watch over a bunch of godly aliens than an alien himself?) Short term ending is everything with Marinette/Ladybug coming to light, Marinette losing the Ladybug earrings and having her guardianship revoked. The new Ladybug wielder is Marc, and Nathaniel gets the rooster (because goats represent being aligned with satan ((aka how the rest of the world's religions sees Jews)) and Nathaniel is Jewish.)
As for the logistics of Marinette losing her memory? Raven could definitely create a spell that makes a work around that Makes It impossible for Marinette to say, do, talk, basically align with anything about her time with the miraculous or the miraculous itself, while still keeping her other memories intact so she lives out her punishment properly.
Does Marinette salt prompts have to feature Marinette in the story? Can we submit prompts where characters talk about Marinette?
Ideally, the prompt should feature Marinette to some limited capacity, but to be fair a lot of prompts submitted deal with the fallout of some of Marinette's action without her being actually present, so I would say that a prompt where character's talk about Marinette is fine.
Marinette Salt Prompt: In Which Cerise didn’t merely wanted the Wish and actually told a Truth (Part 2)
Prompt by @Bloop24
Marinette’s reputation as ladybug was beyond repair, chat noir was barely speaking to her, and her friendship with Alya was rocky. She was upset that she would keep something like this from Adrien and claim that it was for his own good. But no matter how upset she was at Marinette she set that aside because there was a more important issue, the missing miraculous. They noticed something off when during an akuma attack they needed the bee miraculous but vesperia never showed. As ladybug she visited Zoe to get answers and was given the worst news possible, that she didn’t have the miraculous anymore.
Worried, she checked on each of her friends and found that half of her friends no longer had their miraculous and was instead replaced with a fake. She quickly told the others to be on high alert before rushing back to Alya. They began to investigate who could be behind it but quickly ran into a dead end. No one could place one suspicious person. One moment it’s was a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes the next a woman with long pink hair or a man with slicked back hair and a mustache. They were getting no where and the only thing they could speculate was that this could be connected to the new butterfly holder.
For now Cerise was posing as one of her many identities ‘Emily’ to go undercover at Dupont. She decided to take a less direct approach to ruining Marinette’s reputation. In fact she wasn’t going to do much of anything, Marinette was going to do all of it herself. Instead of intergrading herself into their friend group she stayed away from them and made other friends. She subtlety pointed out her behavior past and present saying how “disturbing” it was. None of it was a lie either, Marinette had harassed girls she felt were getting too close to Adrien and stalked him to find out what he was doing. She just made people more aware of it and pay more attention. The girls who thought they were the only ones harassed by her started talking about their experiences. 'Emily’ pointed out how it seemed like her friends were all aware of her behavior and encouraged it.
It didn’t take long for rumors to spread of Marinette being a creepy fangirl and her friends helping her. The rumors had spread so far that they reached Sublime. When Sublime first met Marinette she was warry because of the rumors surrounding her, but she figured they were just mean things someone had made up and gave her a chance. Watching from afar, Cerise saw Marinette’s frantic movements and knew she was about to do something stupid. She followed them down to the track and stayed out of sight. She watched as Marinette pretended to be akumatized ruining Sublime’s prosthetics in the process and transform into ladybug to make it seem more real.
The next day at school 'Emily’ expressed her worry for Sublime because of what she heard Marinette did. People were quick to check on Sublime and asked her what happened between them. Sublime recounted what happened that day and how she wanted to give her a chance despite the rumors about her but after everything that happened she wanted nothing to do with her. The incident quickly spread and solidified in their minds that Marinette was a creepy fangirl. They even speculated that Marinette knew ladybug with how fast she arrived even though it clearly wasn’t an akuma attack. People felt bad for Adrien, he was lied to about his father being a hero and now it turns out his girlfriend is a crazy fangirl and all his friends knew and even helped her. Cerise smiled as everyone in school talked about Marinette and her friends, it was only a matter of time before she broke them down completely.
