Made a new fic: Rain and Honey

Lute was only looking to escape her past: years in covert ops, the Middle East, and a doomed mission that killed most of her squad and destroyed her left arm. A cabin deep in the Appalachian Mountains seems perfect for the job. Despite her supposed isolation, she can't help but feel that she's not alone. Something watches her from the trees. Follows her through the forest. Whispers her name in the dark. She can't tell what the presence is, nor why it's taken such an interest in her. But Lute refuses to be scared off.

Unfortunately, due to IRL circumstances, I have to delay the chapter that was originally going to come out this week. Everything going forward will be pushed back accordingly, starting with the next chapter, Coming Clean. That will be out April 10th.

A Bottle Between Friends is out!

As Emily rips a portal open, straight to Lute’s room, it feels like her brain is on fire. Thoughts enter her head like a shower of meteors. Each one impacts with a deafening boom, shaking her to the core. She barely has time to process each one before another hits, leaving her so off-balance that she can barely tell up from down. Nothing makes sense anymore, and her hasty rationalizations do nothing to improve the situation at hand.

Admin Override update

I went back and gave my Knights of Guinevere fic, Admin Override, a bit of a facelift. The AO3 work skin 'basic formatting' does wonders for things like adding colors to terminal lines.

And so, lockdown ends. The exorcists are up before dawn. Many of them seemed barely able to sleep, the noise of their activities ending late and starting early. They chatter excitedly amongst themselves as the sun rises, most already prepared for the day’s activities.

For Lute, tomorrow comes all too quickly. The morning starts early as usual, with Emily needing to get ready for the next meeting. It’s not stated outright, but Lute is almost positive it will be in Hell. She appreciates that it’s uncertain, but also hates it. Lute still wishes she could go with them, but she also recognizes how unhelpful that would be—for many reasons.
