I'm currently moving two hours away from my parents and one of my parents is not able to handle it. They can't eat or sleep and see no point of living unless I move back home because the entire purpose of their life revolves around me. I believe they have had depression for years, very angry and irritable, hates everyone, mentally abuses my other parent, and the only source of joy in life is me. They've mentioned just wanting to disappear because they worry about me 100% of the time. But I'm standing my ground and need to make this move for a job and they are taking it as a huge personal offense to them. The alternative was move only an hour away...not a big deal. Long story short, I don't know what to do. They don't want help, they don't believe in therapy or pills and hate doctors. I see no way of helping them because I've mentioned so many things but they know they're "fucked up" and just accept it. I almost want to hear a "I'm gonna kill myself" which has vaguely been referenced before, but never said often. So I can call 911 and force him on medication and therapy. But that could backfire. If it turns into a serious threat, I will thought...but I just don't know what to do and feel helpless.
