Does anyone feel like Pierce The Veil REALLY changed after 2007?

Listening to A Flair For The Dramatic compared with the three albums after...I find myself mentally dividing PTV into AFFTD, and then "the next three albums". Like, that early stuff just sounds SO much different and I can't tell why. I love every album immensely, thought I think Selfish Machines has a few tracks that I just flat out don't like, as opposed to any other album. I'm just wondering if anybody else feels similar, and maybe why. Maybe because it was the only album they had when I discovered them. I can't pinpoint the difference either, maybe it's the whole no-chorus thing on a lot of songs. It seems strange that such a raw and pure musical effort came so early in their career too. I think this came about when I was trying to rank their albums.

So can someone tell me why The Story So Far has such fucking terrible stage presence?

I finally got to see them yesterday for the first time, and in addition to Parker not being able to sing his own songs…they were so AWKWARD. Dead silence in between songs. Everybody except for Parker stood completely still. Parker also clapped after each song…like, for his own songs?! WHAT?!

I love them but IT’S NOT THAT HARD TO ACT LIKE YOU’RE HAVING FUN ON STAGE. Sum 41 completely showed them up when they got on stage five minutes after.

Does anyone have a parent who suffers from depression?

I'm currently moving two hours away from my parents and one of my parents is not able to handle it. They can't eat or sleep and see no point of living unless I move back home because the entire purpose of their life revolves around me. I believe they have had depression for years, very angry and irritable, hates everyone, mentally abuses my other parent, and the only source of joy in life is me. They've mentioned just wanting to disappear because they worry about me 100% of the time. But I'm standing my ground and need to make this move for a job and they are taking it as a huge personal offense to them. The alternative was move only an hour away...not a big deal. Long story short, I don't know what to do. They don't want help, they don't believe in therapy or pills and hate doctors. I see no way of helping them because I've mentioned so many things but they know they're "fucked up" and just accept it. I almost want to hear a "I'm gonna kill myself" which has vaguely been referenced before, but never said often. So I can call 911 and force him on medication and therapy. But that could backfire. If it turns into a serious threat, I will thought...but I just don't know what to do and feel helpless.
