I think making character playlists is good for you and connected to analysis skills in a very fun way and low investment way. I know its seen as quite trivial but to me it operates the same way looking at a lot of art builds ur skills passively. Yummy enrichment activity
Both Ren and Meiling were in deep, deep doubt of what their paths should be. They had both been taught that all of humanity was evil and untrustworthy, and that they should all destroy it and help their respective family rule the world. (Hao in Meiling’s case) They both knew in their hearts that was not the correct path, and spent years isolated and in denial before seeing the light.

Meiling knows that Ren’s heart is cracking and that he can no longer be the way he used to be. Cold, heartless. He longed for connection and relationship with others, and knowing him, he was already aware that he would not win tomorrow’s fight in the way he wanted to. Meiling knew that his true victory wasn’t one against Yoh, it was against all the abuse and grooming he faced as a kid. He could be free.

⭒˚‧ ︵‿⭒ཐིཋྀ RenMei is the romantic relationship between Tao Ren, canon character from Shaman King and Han Meiling, an original character belonging to Maritulip created in 2013.
Meiling and Ren first met when they were paired to fight in their first preliminary match. Silva oversaw their battle, wary of both of them as he found them both to be extremely dangerous. (Ren because he had killed Chrom, Meiling because she comes from a long line of shamans who shared Hao's beliefs to destroy humanity and aided him.) After a long fight that left them both with a lot of questions and injuries, Meiling was declared the winner, as Ren ran out of furyoku.
A deep, dark resentment formed within him and he planned to finish her off and take her spirits just like with Yoh. After a misterious incident, they became unexpected allies, and became a bit less hostile after Yoh befriended Ren and changed his views on the world. The rest is a spoiler and will be revealed as the Paradise Lotus story is revealed!. ཐིཋྀ⭒‿︵ ‧˚⭒
