Hello!
For my posts addressing clobber passages and homophobic verses, asks about how I defend being queer, and answering homophobic arguments and popular articles, see the “#side a” tag. I will redirect anyone who asks me about these topics to this tag, so please read through it before you send me an ask about the verses if you’re trying to argue with me.
Call me Hope
23, Latina (Brazillian), lesbian, disabled, genderfluid, anarchist
She/They
Folk Catholic religious blog (though I occasionally post non religious stuff on topics like politics, queerness, activism or just my personal interests and ramblings)
Side A, queer marriage and sex is holy, I reject colonialism, imperialism, capitalism, the state, white supremacy and religious authoritarianism, I believe in the divine mercy and universalism for all, hell is at best a temporary place of justice after which it will be emptied and all souls will unite under one divine communion in heaven, Jesus Christ was and is for radical charity and care work and liberation of all especially the poor, the oppressed and the outcasts.
Needless to say TERFs, misogynists, homophobes, racists, bigots, any anyone else not willing to interact with this blog in good faith fuck off. I will also not tolerate anyone expecting me to justify my existence or my faith.
I am happy to engage with good faith questions on what I believe, how I resolve certain tensions within my faith and between my identity and the church’s formal institutions, or anything else that comes from a friendly position. Just don’t be a dick in my DMs or on my page.
Free Palestine, Sudan, the Congo, Turtle Island, Brasil, Kashmir and all other places under the yoke of colonialism and imperialism
My religious practice includes Catholicism, the Catholic mystic tradition as practiced by saints such as St Hildegard and Julian of Norwich, liberation theology, queer and disabled activism through spirituality, affective piety, Latino and Italian folk traditions, ancestral veneration, death work, herbalism, tarot, meditation and spirit work.
Aspiring to reconnect with my Tupinambá heritage.
If you’re a minor I probably won’t follow you back
If you have any questions or just wanna talk about stuff please feel free to DM me. Again, I welcome all who come in good faith and love being able to talk with people, especially if it’s about religion.
May God give you eyes that may see, ears that may hear, a clear mind, a wise tongue, and a gentle, peaceful heart. May He bless the work of your hands and that which you give to others. May you be blessed with great love and the ability to love others greatly.
