“Mo.” Dominic nodded, then raised his eyebrows at Louis. “Okay.” He shouldered off his jacket and held it out. “Not even dinner and a movie and you’ve got me taking my clothes off.”

Marjorie spun elegantly, pinning a hand to her waist. “He’s good at that. Okay, now, someone---” She stopped mid-spin and drew her second hand down to her other hip. “Someone has to dance with me for real.” She poked each boy on the chest simultaneously. “And since I have no gentleman callers, I guess you two are the only candidates I’ve got.”

“Fuck— Party foul!” Louis cackled, though he was the perpetrator of said foul. He brushed the stranger’s shoulder off. “Lemme swap you jackets, bro.”

Dominic swiveled his shoulder and pursed his lips. “The denim would clash with your jeans.” A slow grin came on his face. “And the girl checking you out over there wouldn’t keep looking if you looked like Justin Timberlake instead of Sid Vicious.”

“I like Justin,” Marjorie said, her face and hands appearing over Louis’ shoulder, a drunken smile slipping slothfully across her lips. “Hi, Dom.”

This was not a point that Marjorie had anticipated being part of any discussion with Rowan any time soon---or at all, come think of it. Besides, it wasn’t true. She liked Bridge plenty. They had shared giggles in class and won awards on partnered projects. Once upon a time, she had even gifted Marjorie a piece of rainbow fluff flavored gum. How could she dislike a person so kind?

“Louis had no reason to say that,” she said sheepishly. “I like Bridge a lot.”
