Something I don't understand about modern literature is its god awful covers, like every piece of modern literature has some generic ass name like "beneath the glass" and the cover art is a white wine cup and it's like...

HOWW. How would anyone expect me to be mildly interested in this generic ass thing. That's not what I want to see in a cover god damn. Show me a character in a cool outfit or a fire scene, make it feel like this book has an actual story and characters and is not just 200 pages of nothing.
