A notorious bad design done by some rom hacks is to have the same reinforcements go on for way too long. I like to use this on forums and screenshot LPs when I feel like bringing it up.

Everyone makes custom portraits in the same style of the original Fire Emblem games when working on a rom hack. I wanted to break the mold by doing them in my own style. I think if I tried just a little more and stuck to it, I'd be able to make my own portraits, but even if I could, I don't want to replace the already good portraits in the game that were made by my fellow team members. perhaps one day, I'll develop and make use of this skill...

For pixel art practice, I modified Fiora and Florina from Fire Emblem 7 so that they have ponytails. Kinda cute.

I don't remember how I got this idea, but my little brother has hilarious facial expressions, and is also a total dork. So hey, why not draw him as if her were a jock? That grin cracks me up every time. XD

Midnight Sun is a great fire emblem hack. Weirdly enough, the main character, Faratrass (girl on the right) is wearing just a robe, but has higher defense than almost any other unit in the game. My explanation? BOOBS OF STEEL!
