28. Cosas que se olvidan.

Pensando en este lugar, cuando justamente el internet aún era un lugar hace quizás una década. Quizás eso lo hacía tan especial. Extraño esa sensación de “descubrir” y convertir un lugar en el internet completamente a mi gusto. Quizás tumblr no era el lugar más revolucionario del internet en cuanto a personalización, pero tenía algo especial. Comunidad, creación de los estilos de nicho, un lugar para explorar la sensibilidad y ser ridículamente honesto bajo un seudónimo. Lo curioso es que era aceptado porque se entendía como parte de tumblr.

No sé en donde hoy en día los adolescentes estén explorando estas partes de ellos mismos. De todas formas solo soy un pseudo adulto que creció aquí y aún le cuesta despedirse completamente de esta red social.

i hate how restrictive most social media is. squish your thoughts and feelings down enough to fit our character limit. squish your drawings and photographs down small enough to fit our hyperspecific aspect ratios. don't post links. don't attach files. at that point why even bother. it feels so claustrophobic to try and use a platform that seems to consider the posts you make an unfortunate side effect of having people to show ads to. i didn't mean to make this text big but since i accidentally did i decided ill commit to it and enjoy the fact that i am allowed to take up cyberspace on tumblr still at the very least. getting to stretch out my posting tendril.
