hi guys. it’s been a while, huh. i like. i’ve been 100% inactive since before dream diary came out like. five months ago. and i was really inactive before that.

as you can probably guess, it’s gonna mostly stay that way. i might pop back in every few months maybe to post a photo set or something but it’ll be business-y and will no longer have any personal association with me as like. a person. i made this blog when i was what, like 16 or something. i’m a completely different person than i was back then, and my priorities have shifted. as much as i still care about yume nikki, it’s not worth running this blog the way i used to. since i’ve had this blog for so long, it’s impossible for me not to associate it with weird and dark times during my teens and i don’t think it’s healthy for me to constantly be sitting with that. i have a lot going for me right now and i don’t want to be carrying extra guilt and anxiety around with me. 

it was fun going through all my old posts, seeing time pass and the quality of my content improve. i left up a few of my “wow i’m at 200 followers” posts because skldjfsldkjfs... 

thank you all for the past few years. unfortunately there’s a lot of really nasty shit in this fandom but those of you who are cool are like, cool. thanks for being part of my journey. know that i’m out in the world being my best self and doing good shit, hoping you’ll all do the same.

IT’S A GAME FIRST AND FOREMOST. KEYCHAIN  MACHINE BROKE

-the logo on the countdown takes you to the games official webpage -it’s basically a remastered yume nikki in 3d that was supervised by kikiyama -either it comes with concept art or the game contains stuff from kikiyama’s old concept art or both -the steam page is here  -it’s 20 bucks -screenshots of the game are on the steam page but they also live on this post now

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so i went to go refresh the countdown page and there was a big madotsuki on the left and i couldn’t click it and like the clown that i am my brain immediately went “refresh the page maybe you can click it” and now the big mado is gone.

same on that i’ve been seeing everywhere as the one hidden in the source code. it wasn’t there when i originally like. was on the page (when i took a screenshot of the countdown)

anybody know anything about that??? or like how it works or what it means??? i know we’re less than 24 hours now but i’d still like to add it to my info post if i possibly could

i am a very silly boy and i made this post then went to bed and i. i said on the Left. 

i wrote a bazillion things about the madotsuki on the left.... i meant that there was a New madotsuki on the right side of the page.

addressing the new yume nikki info: version 0.02

if you’re reading this, you’ve probably heard the news. yume nikki has been uploaded to steam, and there’s a new countdown entitled The countdown to the next YUME NIKKI project begins. if you’re at all curious, i’ve taken the liberty in compiling known information about what exactly could be going on. as more information comes out or is brought to my attention, this post will update, so check back in whenever you’d like.  if you have information of bugs in the yume nikki steam release, please get in contact with me. ideally i am looking for video footage, things in nature such as frame rate drops, missing audio, or anything else you might experience.

ive been following this blog for idk how long now and its just so amazing to see that throughout all this time yume nikki is finally getting more content even if were starting with the game being uploaded to steam

i feel the same way!! i think the part that warms my heart the most is how the fanbase has responded. i remember people talking on the 10th anniversary about how worried they were that yume nikki, this thing that had brought so much light into people’s lives, was going to fade away into obscurity. and here we are, in 2018, where we were #3 on trending! 

while i understand the worry that people who don’t understand the game’s depth and seriousness will be disrespectful or annoying, but i also think people are overestimating the amount of attention just being on steam is going to cause. not to mention, a lot of us were almost exact carbon replicas of the same “cringy 13 yr olds” that we seem to be afraid of now. yume nikki has brought me personally, and so many of us, so much joy and love. and now 14 years later, it’s given another chance to bring that same love into more people’s lives… 

PLUS YEAH I’M REALLY EXCITED FOR MORE YUME CONTENT IN GENERAL LSKDFJKDFKDF………………
