Happy Birthday Hisoka!!!

Tarot interpretation:

Hisoka ~ The Magician

The Magician’s job is to intercept The Querent (The Fool, i.e Gon) and introduce them to the 4 suits of tarot. Can be seen as a helpful Archetypal character, or as a trickster, a role that Hisoka actively switches between in the anime.

I have made the 4 suits align with villains of our four main characters…

~ Wands - Wands - Hisoka - Gon

~ Cups - Chalices/Holy Grail - Chrollo - Kurapika

~ Swords - Pins/Needles - Illumi - Killua

~ Pentacles - Coins/Jenny - Leorio (based on his “desire” to become a Hunter, “For the money” ~ Didn’t have enough resources to save his friend)

Even though I have yet to read it, I was heavily inspired by the cover art for the manga Witch Hat Atelier as well as antique Victorian art a lot which I was able to find in The Antiquarian Sticker Book.

Things I’m working on so y’all know I’m not ✨dead✨

HXH:

~ I’m finishing up a Hisoka Tarot card . It will be posted on his birthday, June 6th!!! (Planning on doing a hxh tarot series)

~ Chrollo won the vote so I will start working on drawing him and his hot pants.

~ I may have started writing a silly goofy Hisoillu fanfic where the two clowns are required to do community service enforced by the Hunter Association… Hijinks ensue.

Gravity Falls:

~ Started writing a semi-dark/angst fueled Billdip fic. Will only be a few chapters.

Premise: After years of rehabilitation, Stan finally remembers the moment Bill Cipher died inside his mind. He also remembers the ancient reincarnation spell that Bill spoke. Ford enlists Dipper’s help in creating a device that will banish the demon for good, but when things go wrong during the process, Bill is accidentally given a physical body with a bad case of amnesia. While Stanford finds a way to fix the device, Dipper is tasked with ensuring Bill’s memories don’t return. The problem, Bill is convinced he and Dipper were a happily married couple before a tragic accident robbed him of his memories. Dipper is trapped. He can’t set the story straight and risk Bill regaining memory and magic, so he’s forced to play along. Bill longs for their relationship to go back to normal, not understanding that there was never any love to begin with. Dipper’s not sure how long he can pretend to care for Bill. Every time the demon smiles at him, he wants to set the world on fire. If Ford doesn’t fix the machine and quick, Dipper fears he’ll be the one that burns down Gravity Falls this time. Working Title: Limerance Layout: 5 parts; Introduction, Infatuation, Crystallization, Deterioration, and Rot. Timeline: Story takes place over multiple years. Starts when Dipper is 19/20, main story takes place 4 years later. Relationships: Bill/Dipper, Mabel/Pacifica, implied past Fiddleford/Stanford.

Don’t rlly have an upload date, but I’ll let y’all know the closer I get to posting it!

~ LOLOLOL… I promise Three Points Where Two Lines Meet is not dead!!! I still have plans to continue her, I just hit a mild editing block and then Hunter x Hunter derailed any remaining sanity I had.

Did y’all know the creator of Tokyo Ghoul, Ishida Sui, did a 70 page one-shot of Hisoka’s origin story… cause I didn’t 😭

Tho not actually canon it feels like it could be (Togashi even agreed with a lot of the concepts). And while not too dark, it definitely has a heavier/raw vibe like Tokyo ghoul unlike whats seen in hxh. Which, even when dealing with heavy moments, is a very bright anime and always seems to turn your head towards an adventure on the horizon.

Anyway look how adorable and crazy tiny Hisoka is! I wanted to redraw some of my favorites from the one-shot so enjoy.

… This has not helped my obsession with this man one bit… but at least I’m not alone 🥲

Manga haul!

I’ve seen Tokyo Ghoul and Princess Jellyfish but never read either manga!

Heheh kind of went through a big Tokyo Ghoul phase back in high school 😬😬😬 May have cosplayed as Tsukiyama, we won’t talk about that part of my life. Never read the manga tho.

Need to actually finish Princess Jellyfish, but it’s quickly becoming one of my comfort animes.

I know very little and have no idea what to expect from YuYu Hakusho but Togashi hasn’t failed me so far soooo 🫰

I’ve never heard about Zom 100 before but the idea of knocking out a 100 point bucket list durning the zombie apocalypse sounds metal so I’m in.

I’ll keep y’all updated 😏😏😏 Probably Definitely get obsessed and draw some art.

🚨HxH- Chimera Arc Spoilers - Neferpitou and Kite

Neferpitou: listens to Won’t Bite, will in fact bite.

Honestly had such a fun time designing an outfit for them. Will maybe try another with more non canon fits in the future. Pitou on the right is aesthetically based on the Egyptian lion god Nefertem, son of Bast - a cat goddess. Nefertem was associated with the blue lotus flower - water lily.

I enjoy drawing pitou androgynous and using they/them pronouns. In the manga the character is referred to as “he” and in the anime, “she” is used, though more often than not “they” is substituted. Shout out to this villain’s beautifully complex gender and to hunter x hunter for having the queerest coded characters I could get my grubby lil gay hands on.
