let’s try this again — i’ve deleted tiktok and instagram off my phone! not fully quitting since i still have to use insta for dms (family and friends) and tiktok for inspo sometimes (writertok has been great at motivating me to get back into fanfic writing haha), but i’m trying to cut the doomscrolling. for now, i’ve decided i’ll only check insta on desktop and use tiktok exclusively on my ipad and only when i need inspo. i seem to reach for tiktok less because it’s obviously less convenient to use the app on a bigger screen, so the urge to scroll has also been a lot less. trying to figure out a system that works without cutting myself off completely and learning to use social media as intended! we’ll see how it goes haha

in january, i planned to have 2 daily diaries for 2026. a hobonichi weekly and a moleskine daily, the former for short daily entries/highlights and the latter for longform and more detailed logs. maybe i was too ambitious but now that we’re almost halfway through the year i’m finding it hard to keep up with both diaries ☹️ i’m starting to feel like the moleskine might’ve been a bit of a waste, and that i’m better off sticking to my regular journal for longer entries then just keeping up with the hobonichi for daily use since i’ve been way more consistent with it anyway. so rn i’m just thinking about how to make better use of my moleskine daily! i already have a leuchtturm1917 weekly planner for both personal and work stuff so hmmm what to do

we rescued him last year - he needed surgery to get his left eye removed due to a tumor. poor baby has gone through a lot but he is very very brave and is okay now 🖤🤍

WELCOME BACK! what do you like to read!?

thank you i am so happy to be back!! <3 and i appreciate all the warm messages too!

nowadays i’ve been trying to read as much literary fiction as i can, still :) with a bit of nonfiction on the side (currently fixated on patti smith but joan didion is always my favorite). for fiction, i just started mieko kawakami’s sisters in yellow - the english translation came out very recently! i’m also reading grotesque by natsuo kirino, but i only have a digital copy so i’m a bit slower haha, i always tend to read physical books faster. and a bit of manga from time to time too, right now it's dandadan since i just finished season 2 :)

What would be your dream job?

ideally i want to be a writer or an art curator! but where i live, the arts and humanities sadly are not valued as much as i'd like them to be, so finding a job in that field that actually lets me live comfortably is almost impossible. i'm aware there are remote jobs that would, possibly, let me do that but i feel i'd go crazy if i went fully remote :')
