I’m reading, I’m reading, I’m in a mood where all I want to do is read nonstop and that results in a lot of reading journal entries. I know I just posted a new spread from this journal yesterday but I’ve already got another one readyyyy… I didn’t intend to start Pride Month by reading a bunch of weird queer books but that’s what’s happening so far!

The month is off to a rip-roaring start, in my media journal at least! I enjoy how both of these pages turned out.

I’ve gotten really gung-ho about reading but the last thing I want is to let that slow down my gaming. Attempting and failing to Let’s Play has really stifled my gaming, but I I think I’ve decided to give that up for good so now I can find joy in games again! In Their Shoes is kind of mid and thus not the best example of that but I did have a lot of fun finishing it up over the last two days.

A woodsy, rustic spread for the last two books I finished! Unfortunately there was quite a gulf in how much I liked these books, but I am glad I didn’t DNF We Came To Welcome You because the ending was the best part. I also really like the tree I made.

Two more games logged! I’m finally getting back into a gaming groove.

I also finished a book today and documented that on the next page, but you’ll see it when there’s a full spread.

I set up a new journal today to help me relearn Spanish! I majored in it in school but haven’t exercised that muscle in a while and have forgotten a lot. I love Spanish and without language learning I felt like I was missing a part of myself.

I made tabs and everything! It’s like a commonplace journal but just for all the facets of Spanish.

I actually put off making the Slay the Spire 2 page for a few days even after I said I’d take a break from the game because its setting and design are so unique that I just couldn’t figure out how to represent it visually. I settled on trying to make a border representing its different biomes with paper and tape. Doesn’t quite match the game’s vibe but I tried.

Hello Beautiful is the first page in this journal where I’ve drawn elements! I drew a basketball and a helix representing the Padovano sisters’ curly hair. I’ve also been playing Bayonetta and part of me hoped I would finish that next so I could make a page for it next to Hello Beautiful with a matching drawing of Bayonetta’s ponytail or Wicked Weave down the side, but alas.

Two more books, both kind of goofy! The decoration on both pages is kind of sparse, but I don’t have a ton of scary monster stickers that would fit!

More Celeste-themed party planning!

Next month’s Stickii Club theme is literally just “strawberries” and I’d be lying if I said anticipating that didn’t inspire my Celeste theming at all

I’m turning 30 in a couple months, which is a great excuse to plan a party, which is a great excuse to try out some fun spreads in my bullet journal. Here’s a “party overview” spread, based on one of my favorite video games, Celeste, a game which only means more and more to me as I get older.

A great game and a great book! I probably will not use that lime green pen to write in this journal again, unless it really really suits the thing I’m writing about.

A very colorful media journal spread! This is the first time I’ve used my glitter gel pens in a review and the first time I’ve used multiple colors in one review, and I really love how it looks. I will be surprised if Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow doesn’t end up being my favorite book I read this year

A spread only using stamps and ink! I don’t know why I don’t use stamps more, I think it might be an issue of not liking to reuse elements between spreads and the whole point of stamps being reuse. The ink is also really messy and gets all over my hands 😫 And cleaning the stamps themselves is such an ordeal. I bought the alphabet stamps specifically because I hate my handwriting and lettering and wanted to use them for titles and stuff but it ends up being so messy and time-consuming that I would rather just use my terrible handwriting.

This spread was definitely fun to make but all of those problems did come up so I don’t know if it inspired me to use my stamps more!

Ignore that I misspelled March AND 2026!

Once again, I only finished three books and one single game this month - luckily This Bed We Made was actually good so it getting “Best Game” is not totally stolen valor XD I was busy with a show, and as you can see by the In Progress list, I’ve been in the middle of a bunch of games. Still, I swear I’ll have more to put in the journal in April!
