Now that Halloween is over, I'm completely focused on creating on new work for the Craft Collective coming up November 23rd.  I'm thrilled to be a part of this event!  It's always such a good time. Be there or be square!

This is me getting  all ready for the LOLA show a couple weeks back.  I had such a good time.  It was so nice of everyone to come out and get flowers for their moms. :) People sure are nice.  

Being a part of Lola is opening up some new exciting opportunities for me that I'm really excited about!  I have an event on Saturday June 7th with Pachamama's that should be pretty cool.  Hopefully I'll know more soon and will post more details!

This Saturday I will be involved in one of the coolest craft shows in Lawrence, LOLA.  I can't wait!  And I'll be selling not only my bags, but also lots of pretty floral arrangements! (Perfect for you mom!)  This is sort of my floral debut here in Lawrence, so please come and see me!  It's being held in the Alton Ballroom at Pachamama's here in Lawrence from 10-4.  Hope to see you there!!

I went flower picking in the sand hills of Hutchinson this weekend for my sister-in-law's wedding!  Together with her bridesmaids and friends, we made all the centerpieces with the flowers we picked ourselves.  Such a fun idea!

I'm busy getting some new totes made for the Craft Collective coming up this Saturday April 26th.  I've been having so much fun choosing the fabrics for these totes... May have to keep one for myself!

One thing I always struggle with is patience in my sewing projects.  I need instant gratification.  So, it's nice to make small things to satisfy that need.  I wanted to do something different with the bags I've been making.  I started integrating more design ideas.  Keeping it simple so far with linear patterns.  Perhaps something more complicated is around the corner...  And also, some flowers to brighten the day!

Here are some photos of my little summer project.  I participated in the Heshima Fashion Challenge, which is a great charity to support.  The objective was to create a garment out of a scarf that I blindly chose.  There were ten designers in total.  It was so cool to see how differently everyone approached this project.
