I like your tits, Dave.
From MOJO, May 2013
"I get lost in songs" This is a sentiment that Dave has echoed a few times. Going so far as to write a song with those lyrics. In "Broken" from Delta Machine he sings:
"When you were a child You'd dream all day long You'd dream of the future Get lost in your songs"
but in the original version of the lyrics he wrote: "When I was a child I’d dream all day long I'd dream of the future And get lost in your songs"
It's a subtle change but I think the change is powerful. HOWEVER, the pronouns are not the only part of the lyrics that changed. In fact many of the songs he wrote for Depeche were changed in one way or another. I think the changes are interesting, especially the Delta Machine ones. I encourage you to look them up if you haven't already. I might dissect some of them later but this is not what I wanted to do with this post.
What I wanted to touch on here was the 'getting lost in someone's songs' part. I've always wondered if he meant songs he likes in general or if he means my songs specifically. There is plausible deniability there with the "when I was a child" part. Obviously alluding to escapism always being part of his personality, but he has claimed many times that he takes on a persona on stage for each song. Perhaps he envisions the character telling the story and acts it out. I think that is why his preformance is always so powerful. He really gives a part of himself to the performance in a way that I wish I had words to express to him how much it means to me.
Imagine being me - or anyone writing a story that is preformed by someone else. A song or a movie where someone else acts out your emotions. It's mesmerising and oddly flattering at times. Sometimes I feel like a puppeteer in a way. It's difficult to describe, really. I always have that notion in mind when I write the songs. Dave's voice, his preformance. I can hear it, I can see it. But it's always so surprising to me how much I can feel it when I finally witness it for real.
Some songs are even partially inspired by him. I put myself in his shoes, imagining what he may think (about me). The perspective changes quite a lot. Like in "Only When I Lose Myself" for example.
I do thank him, maybe not verbally or with my actions as much as I should, but I do thank him for singing my tears. I'd weep into his eyes and make his vision sing.
I hope he knows just how much he means to me.
Just a few comments on the article itself: * Calls Andy "Alan" 😬 * When The interviewer asks about his first impression of us he only really mentions me. (or the rest were cut, I'll never know) * In this interview, just like many others, he mentions that he's been seeking my approval. Why he got so attached to me so quickly, I don't know.
how have you been, martin? been a while without your thoughts
Hi! Sorry that I haven't been posting lately, lots of things have been going on and posting here has been just one of the things that has slipped me by. I'm doing well, all things considered.
I do have many ideas of things to write and post about and it is very encouraging to hear that at least someone enjoys my blog! ❤️ Thank you for checking in, it really means a lot :)

All Gahore shippers are lovely human beings.
I figured I'd just repost but I must gush about how incredibly beautiful he is and how much I miss his piercings <3

Oh god, he needs so many hugs but I'm not complaining.
Notice how quick his signals to me are. The little shoulder touch to the rapid movement of his hand, over my arm, across my waist and up over my shoulder blade. He pulls me in so expertly and within milliseconds I am there with him, ready to embrace him in front of thousands of people. I only wish it could last longer and be in front of less people...

Seriously though, David is so stylish it almost makes me a bit jealous. He makes it look so effortless. Just as if he would have opened his closet doors and just pulled out a random garment blindfolded, slapped it on and then just walked out the door.
Do I want to wear his clothes or his shoes? No. I'm comfortable in my current style. Sometimes though, I wish I was a little bit more daring with my clothes. Some extra layers, straps, chains... frills. You know, extra stuff, but whenever I do add those I feel a little bit too extra if you catch my drift.
David though. He wears extra like a crown. I would say that he could pull off wearing a crown but we actually have proof that he does. So, I'm not even being hyperbolic there.
