You want to help? Fine. Find me Basil Holy. Holy Green Basil. If you fail, I can do it myself. If I want it done, I do it myself. Donât disappoint me, little Neros witch.
Holy Green Basil; got it. And don't worry, us Neros are known to never fail. So don't worry you worry, Blackwood, I'll have what you need in one day. Anything else?
"Jackass." Sabrina snorted, secretly pleased with the remark. A sassy Brenda meant a happy BrendaâŠmore or less. "Your path is clear, just maybe not to you. But one day youâll see it just fine. And youâll see youâre gonna be some bad ass weather goddess one day. Well, if she wonât mind I guess Iâll go pack after I get this stuff to Tobias. Like old times, huh?" A genuine smile hid itself behind her smirk, "Should be fun."
Alerted by that all too familiar voice reaching her ears, the unforgettable memory of Brenda hovering over what could have been Dahliaâs deathbed weaseled its way into her head, effectively overlapping the jumbled up mass of musings that had previously taken temporary and brief occupancy in those free spaces as a result. The corners of her scarlet hued lips twitched into a smirk involuntarily as the rising prodigy actually did what sheâd been so against doing for that time being. Closing the large, instructional spell flooded book shut, placing it to the side of her desk afterwards, Dahlia made no attempts at maintaining her smileâs status at this point. Of course, she wouldnât admit to admiring Brenda, or even so as much as liking her, but a mere beam wouldnât hurt. Eyes drank in her perky close friend, a witty response prepared to tumble off the tip of her pistol-like tongue. âUnless you want to put up with said âgrunchâ, Iâm afraid I canât offer you any help,â a pause, âbut I guess I could squeeze this in.â Suddenly emerging from from her seat, Dahlia exhaled a small sigh, in the meantime tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear. âDo your worst with me, Neros.â
If someone were to ask the witch on how to explain her relationships with the Collins prodigy... Brenda would find herself facing an odd challenge. Their bizarre friendship, built on Brenda's stubborn personality and necessity to make nearly everyone around her her friend (especially a child of one of her mother's closest friend), isn't something easily described. Always fearing the other hated her or at least felt annoyed by her presence, it was hard to say the least getting a decent amount of respect from Dahlia. But though they might not be perfect for one another, though maybe their relationship isn't even healthy, that's what makes their connection so unique. Once separated due to the simple fact of life drifting them apart, Brenda wholly believes they're attached by some unknown and greater force. Not that she would ever tell Dahlia that. So, when her eyes focused on the brunette's genuine grin, she braced herself for the worst. "I've been putting up with your grunch self since we were kids. I'm sure I can handle you just fine now." A single eyebrow raised and a crooked smile to match, she continued, "Oh I'm not sure you'd like that, Collins."
Fucking christ, it is hot today.
Thank the lord, right? I swear Winter seemed like it was never going to end.
"Of course I am! Look at this face." She gave a wide grin before winking playfully. But Sabrinaâs expression dimmed at Brendaâs question. "Come on, now. There is plenty of stuff you could do! Why not look into a few different things before deciding on anything? You donât even have to get a job around here, you could go find something outside the Coven? That might be fun." As the witch packed her things, Sabrina nodded at the invitation. "Sure! Iâd be happy to room with you while Bekâs gone. Dahlia wonât mind, will she?"
"Oh I'm lookin' and it's pretty ugly," she mused, joking but made it so the statement seemed honest enough. Shrugging, she continued, "I know, I know, I just wish I had a clear path like you all, ya'know? But you're right, I'm sure I'll find my calling soon enough. Of course Dahlia won't mind... Well, at least I think she won't. Regardless, just bring your things over and we have have a sleepover like old times."Â
Iâm looking for a very specific potion ingredient for one of my class students. Itâs a herb you will not find anywhere. We are attempting to recreate a healing potion that was made three thousand years ago, and it was rumored to have healed oneâs soul from ill thoughts and conditions. Now, if you excuse me, I have got plenty of researching to do.
Oh, well, if anyone can do it then certainly it's you, Blackwood. Being the potions prodigy and everything. If you'd like, I could help. Two heads are better than one and three's even better, right?
A slim, creamy toned finger guided a page to flip it over, warm, yet secretive chocolate irises flitting across the inked characters on the paper before her, and rather intently at that. Dahlia always maintained her acknowledgment of her surroundings, never making the mistake of allowing her guard to lower. This explained why whenever she had greeted whoever was approaching her in this current state, the rhythmic tap of their footsteps heard, it still just wasnât of enough importance to cause Dahliaâs attention to avert away from the ancient grimoire laid out in her field of vision. âCan I help you?â
With one less roommate to tend to, the brunette searched aimlessly for the only one left. But knowing Dahlia, she could be practically anywhere within the walls of the Coven. Luckily the reputation of the other witch made it possible for Brenda to simply ask one person and get the exact location of her friend. Eyes skimmed the classroom she was found on but before she could sneak up on her, like as planned, her presence was known seconds after she entered the classroom. "I don't, can you help me?" She mused, "I just wanna hangout, you grunch."
Evelyn smiled as the woman brought up a memory of her past. She personally didnât share much of her past with the people here. It wasnât because she felt uncomfortable or didnât trust the resdents of the Coven (though there were a few here who didnât have her trust), but because she never sw much reason or oppurtunity too. âIâm here for the same thing, but for the banshees. I figure someone who understands what theyâre going through would help a little more than a witch would.â
"Ah, I see. You're a very good High Priestess, then. And you're probably right, half of the witches here probably have no clue about what banshees go through. I know I don't," she averted her attention to the doors, pondering how the species could live knowing death could come at any second. How did they feel? Did the it hurt? More importantly, how did they sleep afterwards...
Potions and secrets donât get along with curious witches, thatâs the old saying. Why should I trust you?Â
And don't forget our own, Coven means family and family means no one gets left behind. So whether you like it or not, you're family. Trust me... Hm, well, I can tell you right now I'm not your enemy nor do I seek anything out of you. I'm really just curious.
Remember yourself as a little girl; she is counting on you to protect her.

"Yes, yes, I insist! You need the rest. In fact, take one of these." Reaching under the counter she pulled out a small vial. It contained a relaxation potion sheâd brewed earlier, and she hoped it would help Brenda get some much deserved sleep. "But you know, Iâm kinda glad youâre quitting. Youâd be much happier doing something more productive with your time than running around trying to keep up with Tobias." She snorted at the girlâs words, "From Georgia or not, youâre still not good at faking a thicker Southern accent. And when you try you kinda sound like a dying whale."Â
"You're an angel, you know that?" Taking the vial in hand, she looked at it with quizzical eyes. True the potion would be natural, Earth-friendly if you will. But the witch had a sort of unspoken rule about taking substances that sped up something that should be taken care naturally. Unless, of course, it was during a do or die situation. But in the end, she let the thought die regardless. She was tired and a little potion wouldn't do anyone any harm, right? "Exactly. Now the only question is, what hell am I going to find to do? I'm not like you or Dahlia, I'm no prodigy or Elder-to-be." She pouted, "Now that's just plain harsh, Brina. Anyway, I gotta' go. More errands to run," A roll of the eyes, she stood up from the stool then gathered her belongings, "You should stop my room later. Rebekah's visiting her parents so you can totally sleep on her bed. What do you say?"
If it concerned you, youâd have been invited, or called whatsoever, Brenda.
I'm a nosy individual, Blackwood, you know that very well. So, are you gonna tell me or should I start guessing?
Sabrina stood quietly for a moment, eyeing her friend carefully. âIâll take these to Tobias, alright?â She stepped forward to place both of her hands on Brendaâs shoulders, forcing the girl to make eye contact. âAnd you⊠You kinda look like crap, B. So what youâre gonna do is youâre gonna go get some food and youâre gonna go to bed, alright? Doctorâs orders.â The girl took a pause, âAnd donât ever try that accent again. You kinda suck.â
"Are you sure?" Though she wasn't going to complain, she didn't want to impose on the witch either. Out of the two, Sabrina definitely had more work to be done with her Elder-to-be status going on. Brenda? She was just being whiny. "But if you insist, that'd be wonderful. I promise I won't ever do this again, okay? Mostly because I'm going to quit this job as soon as the teaching year is over. But that's neither here or there," She laughed, smacking her friend's shoulder playfully, "Shut up! I'm from Georgia too, 'ya know."
