but sure let's all go along with the bombastic "rbr has the best engine!!!" headlines and all the point and laugh punchlines because it's too much effort to point out that no, it fucking doesn't, it has (embarrassingly for the likes of everyone else) the best ICE part of the engine, which famously constitutes 50% of the power, it's nowhere near on the energy deployment part of the spectrum which is the be-all and end-all this year, the aero and chassis are subpar at best, but thanks to this utterly brilliant ✨closing the development gap✨ system with absolutely no blind spots whatsoever, all the other teams, including merc that's lightyears ahead for anyone with healthy eyes and working brain to see, will get to further develop their already superior assets

Luggi: ah it's just nice with the audience, the fans, they come here for DTM - of course also some for F3, but with the DTM you're right in the middle of things. So I'm happy even in this [Sauwetter] (lit. pig weather)

Luggi: Sauwetter. Austrian expression, huh?
int: For rain, yeah. [asks if Luggi would've preferred dry race]
Luggi: We changed a couple of things yesterday so it wouldn't have been too bad for me if it were dry. Now it's raining, that's okay for me too. A lot can happen in the rain, you can go forward or backward. Um, I'm excited.
int: I'm just looking now, you're not at the very back, so you could also go backward. How high are the chances that you go forward?
Luggi: The first two or three corners will be interesting, there's a couple of rivers there where it gets lively. I think it can go forward easily there especially if something happens, hope of course that everyone gets through safely. But that's where I'll attack.
int: (points out first engines starting, asks about when Luggi thinks they'll be able to start)
Luggi: Look, it's still raining relatively hard, I think they're a bit scared we'll have too much aquaplaning and too many crashes. You have to remember that even when it stops raining it'll take a bit until the track is drier, until there's less water on track. Race control decides when they want to start the race.
int: Do you have friends, family here, or are you assuming all the Austrians are on your side?
Luggi: No, Mama, brother, brother's girlfriend, a couple of friends are also here. (cannot make this bit out exactly; smth about the rest of the crowd)

that being said we only had 4 dnfs and 2 happened in the last lap!
which, by the way... controversial. scheider bumped into wickens bumped into wehrlein, getting them both (wickens & wehrlein) out. (see here). scheider's engineer had said to him (translated) "timo, push him out!". scheider got dsq'd for the maneuver.
honestly that was my favorite part of the race tho i love crimes <3
dani was one of the fallen... rip. i think there was something wrong with his car he pitted thrice and his car was on fire

all of these are current regulations fault tbh. we're not celebrating drivers' talent anymore. and we don't have extraordinary racing. we don't even see real overtakes anymore. it's just grand prix after grand prix where some shit just happens like mechanical failure or penalties. and they try to make you believe that it's what formula 1 is about
