SO yes i have gotten weak in my old age. i turn 22 next week. i am dust and bones. all this to say, yeah im getting rid of the major character death LOL IM NOT KILLING THAT BOY OFF 😭😭 when i first started writing this fic, i had a note about how i wanted this fic to end with neo falling into the same pitfalls as his father before him and i wanted him to finally get what he wants (telemachus) and then purposefully ruin it because he’s too insecure to admit that he deserves it. but. i don’t really want to do that right now? i think it’s because ive been so sad lately or something but i want him to have a happy ending :( i want to show that it is possible to get better and life isn’t always an endless cycle of doom and despair and that neo isn’t destined to rot just because of the mistakes he made in the past and that people can grow and change. because for me, writing is a way of expressing things that i can’t otherwise say and im so sick of being sad all the time and i want people to read this and see that change is possible. and you’re not doomed. and nobody was born evil. you can be better if you put in the effort. neo is putting in the effort. and i know sometimes in life, you can put in the effort and things don’t work out, but that makes me so sad and while i was writing senses, it shifted from being a story about tragedy to a story about how people can change and how doing some bad things doesn’t necessarily make you a bad person forever and healing and being able to forgive yourself. and i don’t think i can get that across with major character death.
sorry i’m rambling. i’ve been thinking a lot lately. tl;dr, yes i am removing major character death. no, i am not killing off neo. however, i will likely write an alternate ending chapter because i do still love writing angst. #KILLTHATBOY but mainline neomachus will get their happy ending. everybody be thankful that im getting soft in my old age
also the chapter count question is making me laugh a little but because i’m not even joking, i’m pretty sure it’s gonna be 6 or 7 chapters LOL i would give the estimate of 7 right now because im starting to write ahead a little bit to make sure i get things how i want them to be, but yeah, there’s not too much left! (and i promise it will be finished before this summer is over. you have my word. chapter five probably out on may 26)

Wolfoxjade17 cuz I wanted to make a really meaningful username. I love wolves and foxes, as of all members of the dog family. So put those two in a blender. Jade cause I wanted to add something to Wolfox and at that time I wanted to symbolise my favorte color, ranging from dark blue to pale green. So I first tried with BerylWolfox, but Jade comes in a pretty pale green, and I sounds better. 17 as there was another Redditor called "WolfoxJade" so I chose a random number. (FYI: 17 isn't my fav number, just the first one I thought of).

Rose- This one has two meanings. The blue rose is something mysterious and unatainable, the pink rose is a deep gratitude and joy for what you do have. It really just describes my hopes for my creative endevours. Likley unatainable, but I'm still grateful and happy for whatever does come true.
