This reminds me of the Arabian Nights.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I remember the story goes that these were tales told by the wife of someone who was known for killling all their previous wives. So to delay her death, each night she told a story that ended in a cliffhanger, so that she would live for another.

Has no one done a Lawlight fic this concept before? It would work so well for them. L starting some sort of deep philosophical conversation and ending it with no resolution so Light keeps him alive to hear the rest. Over and over again, purely out of curiosity.

The 13th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th August 2026.

It’s short and easy, for most participants it takes 5 minutes or less.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.
