Hey everyone, admin Capricorn here, I just needed to pop on and update everyone on the future of marvelastrayhq. First and foremost, Aries and I could have never wished for such wonderful members. Each of you made Orbulite feel real and if it wasn’t for your help then this group wouldn’t have been so much fun. That being said, unfortunately life isn’t being too kind and I’ve been having to focus a lot of my attention on my mental and physical health. Aries doesn’t have the time to be a full-time admin and I just haven’t been able to pick up the slack that I initially thought I could. I guess this is just the long way around saying that we’re going to be closing marvelastrayhq. I wish things could have worked out differently, but unfortunately they didn’t. We adored having each and every one of you in this group— thank you for building such a fun little world with us. 

We’re keeping the discord up until Friday so you can grab all of your musings and what-nots. Who knows, maybe they’ll be another Orbulite in the future? If not, that’s okay too— hopefully we’ll cross paths again.

Sure, the migration to Orbulite has been less than ideal. Though, on a planet full of super heroes someone has to have a more interesting story. What one event from your character’s past has changed them for the better or for the worst? Write this memory from your character’s perspective as if we were reading a journal entry or hearing them tell a story.

With a bonafide Avengers-style party, the red planet’s settlers finally tried to settle into some sort of normalcy. Though, things get a bit worrying after the powerless heroes (or antiheros) learn that they can’t hold their alcohol like they used to. Our resident Star-Lord ends up seeing stars as he eventually passes out in dear-ole Deadpool’s lap— right next to rocket who’s more amused than drunk. Steve Rogers got a taste of the 21st century music kids these days listen to while his buddy Bucky finds his station flipping burgers. It was a nice change of tempo... while it lasted. The party was just about to settle down for the night when it happened. It might have been just the overarching stress of the situation, but the settlers became acquainted with none other than The Hulk. His green greatness decided to say hello during a rather heated discussion about their situation. Before the other settlers could react, a bench found its way stuck in the side of the common area. The strange thing was… no one really cared about Bruce’s sudden transformation. They were too concerned with their own powers. Calvin transformed due to the sudden stress of the situation and you could even see a bit of lightning from how shocked Jane became. Heck, Pietro even attempted nyooming around the campsite— but he was too drunk and decided that sleeping sounded more appealing.  

As people tried to calm The Green Guy, everyone was too distracted to notice a certain missing Asgardian. Out of pure curiosity, Loki had teleported out of the dome in search of more information regarding the Twilight Sword. For good reasons, as it was safer in the hands of an Asgardian. Though, what they found was much bigger than any blade. There was a ship. It hadn’t crashed, but instead landed. It was abandoned and showed no traces of life… it also seemed to have been there for a while. Inside the ship, the God found the goldmine in research for the Asgardian weapon. Each document somehow always included the name ‘Doctor Doom,’ and it didn’t take a genius to know that the name didn’t sound too friendly. 

Eventually the trickster found their way back to the camp, happy to see that Banner had calmed down. Though, most importantly no one had noticed their absence. Loki, like Doctor Doom remained undetected by the masses.

hi! i'm interested in applying but i'm not sure for who and i'm kind of nervous to join another group. do you have any advice for a prospective member?

hey babe! first and foremost, it's completely okay to be nervous to join a new group. it's something that takes a lot of time to consider, but since you reached out to us-- i'm super excited to give you a bit of advice. we try our hardest to include and listen to each of our members. if you need to take a break due to mental/physical health, vacation-- literally anything, let us know. this is a hobby and you come first. aries and i are always here to talk if you have any questions regarding the group or your character. for the most part, our members are really quick to respond and plot. my biggest advice is to not only stay active in character but also ooc. we've really created a little family with our group and we really would love for you to join. i really hope this helped, because aries and i really try and make this a safe place in the marvel rpc.

The idea of a party seemed so incredibly ridiculous to some but not JOHNNY STORM, SUE STORM, PETER QUILL and THOR ODINSON. In fact they all insisted on celebrating regardless of not having any of their powers back. Regardless of how spirits seemed to be down but they’ve argued a party is just what the doctor ordered! No matter the issues that arose, the settlement has survived a whole two months on the planet and this called for a celebration! 

MEGAN GWYNN, ALISON BLAIRE and CALVIN RANKIN soon join the ranks, volunteering to help orchestrate the event. Soon the campsite’s resting area was turned into a desert paradise with lights stringed above and tables from the Asgardian pod brought out for everyone to enjoy and sit at. The music was left to Quill, who jumped at the opportunity. Food was left to Megan and Sue who then grabbed STEVE ROGERS and BUCKY BARNES with the BBQ while the girls set up the snacks, making sure each table had a bowl full of goodies at the center. 

Eventually everyone started to chip in, helping out in little ways and big ways to get the job done. And once satisfied and ready, ROCKET jumped on his little dj stand and started cranking the music up, signaling the official start of the party!

OUR SECOND EVENT: TWO MONTH ANNIVERSARY PARTY 

As promised, our second event is here && one for everyone to enjoy and relax during! or so you think  👀   Right now we’re requesting everyone to get involved and please make the rounds! All characters are required to participate and we will make a separate channel for the event! 

The event itself will last a week but expect a plot drop thrown in half way ... ;) 

Participation for this event is mandatory! And will end on Monday, April 25th @ 6 pm est / 5 pm cst.
