let’s take a minute for the modern day parallels….
Yon-Rogg keeps telling Carol “what is given can be taken away” and taking credit for giving her her powers. Literally NEVER LETS HER FORGET that HE’S THE REASON she has her powers.
Men today (example: those that have been in the headlines like Weinstein) COMPLETELY taking credit for women’s success and reminding them that they hold the power to advance their careers or end them.
CAROL MOTHER FRICKIN’ DANVERS SHOWING HIM UP AND OWNING HER POWERS KNOWING THAT SHE IS IN CONTROL OF THEM AND HER SUCCESS IS HERS ALONE.
WOMEN TODAY STEPPING UP AND EXPOSING SEXISM AND MISOGINISTIC MEN AND NOT LETTING ANYBODY TELL THEM THAT THEIR SUCCESS COMES FROM ANYTHING OTHER THAN THEMSELVES.

I just saw Captain Marvel, which was enjoyable. Took me a day or two, but I realized there’s a big gaslighting thing in this movie. It can be a rough subject, but I thought it could be designed easily, hence the power at a cost. Yon-Rog is in control, etc.
I think some Upgrades will be obvious, others less so. Flight, photon blasts, StarForce Uniform. I like her cool under pressure attitude being an upgrade, good Focus dice.
I also wanna make some events about snarky one liners, teasing your friends and such.
