Iridescent Feather Academy/War Phase

This is the second part to the Iridescent Feather Route where I explain what happens in each phase/month.

Academy Phase

Nothing actually changes here except that the missions are done by a combination of the Blue Lions and Black Eagle houses. People from the Golden Deer will occasionally join in as well.

Note: The dance competitors are Cressida (OC), Claude, and Mercedes. Cressida wins.

War Phase

Ethereal Moon (Reunion at Dawn)

Dimitri ends up at the monastery after chasing imperial soldiers there.

Claude flies to the Monastery with Pine and, while taking a break, Pine finds Byleth laying half in the river.

While taking a walk with Huber, Edelgard comes across Beles who had collapsed from exhaustion after running to the Empire once she woke up.

Guardian Moon (2nd Attack on the Monastery)

The Empire tries to claim the Monastery but is driven back by the combined efforts of the Kingdom, church, and Alliance. After this the Empire tires to put more pressure on the Alliance but it doesn't really work.

Pegasus Moon (Valley of Torment)

They meet up with Rodrigue for reinforcements but are ambushed. Judith and her own reinforcements show up and help drive the ambushers back.

Lone Moon (Bridge of Myrddin)

Through the combined efforts of the Kingdom and Alliance, they take the bridge.

Great Tree Moon (Battle of Eagle and Lion)

This is typical of the Azure Moon route but the Alliance are allies.

Harpstring Moon (Reclaiming the Kingdom)

Claude returns to Derdriu to try to gain more support from the other Alliance houses. Meanwhile, the rest of the army goes to retake the Kingdom from Cornelia. He is then crowned as the new king of the Kingdom.

Edelgard and Beles reclaim the Bridge of Myrddin with the aid of the Black Eagle Strike force. They then make their way through the Alliance to Derdriu.

Garland Moon (Attack on Derdriu)

With the help of the Kingdom, Claude pulls off a pincer attack to force the Empire back and out of Derdriu. They then work to push them out of the Alliance.

Blue Sea Moon (Fort Merceus invade)

Cynthia and Dusan (OC's) sneak into the fort to create an opening for their army. The fort falls to Byleth and them.

Verdant Rain Moon (Enbarr Invade)

They march on Enbarr. The attempt at a peace treaty never happens. Beles and Edelgard are standing with the rest of the Black Eagle force to fight. During the fight, Rhea manages to sneak onto the field and stab Beles. Byleth immediately tries to heal his sister, but it doesn't work. After fighting Rhea, who calls him a failure, she also tries to kill him but it stopped by Edelgard and Seteth.

Seteth and Flayn try to reason with her as Claude takes Beles off the field for help. However, when Rhea sees this, she goes into a blind rage and transforms into a dragon to try to stop them. Through the combined efforts of both armies and Seteth (who also transforms), Rhea is subdued and taken into custody. Edelgard agrees to peace talks and declares the war over.

So I choose to have my project be music that I feel like it's connected to the book some are loosely connected like Mine and Don't let this go to waste as while Maria and Jeb don't have a strained relationship as felt in those songs I felt like these hinted at this Jeb not fully understanding the racial pressure and of course I had to put some Michael Jackson songs because her son likes them.

Love how many people perticapated in this including those who scared you. And people enjoyed themselves too.

I very much am a bookworm. I love to read and want to become an author. So to show my love of books I went to the library and showed myself good through and looking through the Young Adult section of the library and going through and occasionally pulling book slightly out and continuing on.

My final options are me emptying my backpack that I take around for school.

I went with closing books shut with that satisying slam that you get with heavy books

My first item on the list is to open so I went and opened a bunch of different things

Performance Art Overview

I find it interesting that the video shows all these old photos and this wasn't once talked about in any of my art classes I took in Elementary, Middle, or High school and just learning about them just now. I learned about pop art and I understand why people not see gifs, video art weren't taught in an art class I still feel like it's sad that this art isn't taught for at least High School kids and would be interesting to learn about.

Canned Laughter

Being born in the early 2000s, I spent a fair amount of time watching disney sitcoms like Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Good Luck Charlie. I always imagined the laugh track in each of the shows as a tiny live audience sitting in my tv and reacting to what I was watching... I don't like shows with laugh tracks anymore because I find them distracting, but they were in pretty much everything I watched as a kid. The concept of needing an audio to react the “correct” way to a joke or phrase in a show is interesting to me, like are we not capable of reacting and responding to things in our own ways at our own times? 

“Canned laughter” was invented by sound engineer Charley Douglass in the 1950’s because he thought “the audience’s organic reactions weren’t the right fit for the taped shows.” The laugh track’s first debut was in 1950 on the American tv show The Hank McCune Show. For my supercut project I decided to supercut laugh track clips from the Hank McCune show with laugh track clips from the Disney sitcoms, “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “Hannah Montana.” I think it opens an interesting conversation about the influence laugh tracks have had on video entertainment throughout the years, as well as the psychology behind being told when/how to respond to video entertainment (in a way that isn’t as necessary with live entertainment/comedy). It is also generally interesting to me as I am taking psychology and am learning about positive reinforcement and associations!

I just started watching Wizards of Waverly Place so this was fun to watch the evolution of the canned laughter through the times.

Sometimes a light is a simple thing and is only noticed by those it touches. Sometimes it's not noticed until it's too late. This is my Ferdinand tribute in memory if Billy Kametz. Rest in Peace Billy you will always be Ferdinand von Aeigr.

Reading Response 3

I really liked how Collet talks about how each person is able to find their own way through being in a minority and being able to express themselves in this way. It was really interesting to read how they went about it. I also found it interesting how Cubitt talks about creating art came to be and how there's two different instances of how painting came to be. (I believe that both instances are right and that they probably happened around the same time)
