📖 Currently reading: Just finished Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, which was a great read in its own right, but also all the authors of terrible "dark romance" type books I love to watch reviewers eviscerate should read Rebecca. Masterclass in atmosphere, characterisation, properly executing twists, with some delicious melodrama. Colleen Hoover could never. (Sorry, Daphne, for mentioning you in the same breath as CH. She could never match your unhinged, likely-bisexual swag <3 )
