if you show too few “I like you” signals people don’t know you like them and if you show too many people think it’s Weird and you’re not allowed to just say “I like you a reasonable amount!” to people because that’s Weird too. You just have to guess what the right amount is and then try to guess if they’re picking it up. Who designed this.

i’m not against vaping, but man, vaping two inches from my face on the subway is a ridiculous asshole kind of move. this dude was billowing like he was auditioning for the role of haunted house fog machine. the humidity in the whole car changed, he was ruining haircuts. just jump starting the water cycle. condensation was dripping down my glasses. people were slipping off poles, it was chaos. it was like watching one man try to terraform the moon. a planet with one dense, root beer scented atmosphere blocking out the sun and choking all life.

ugh I isolate and alienate myself from the people I care about most because after all this time, I'm still afraid🙃

People keep saying that Detective Pikachu is going to have the obligatory almost-swear-but-cut-away-last-second joke, and it almost certainly is going to do that

But I can’t stop thinking about the fact that the movie IS PG-13

Meaning they can get away with saying fuck once and keep it PG-13

Reverse cut-a-way. Detective Pikachu is in a room with normal humans who can’t understand him. He stubs his toe really hard. We get like 30 seconds of very loud angry “Pi pika pika pipipika kakapika pipi-” then the main character walks in and we just hear the deep detective pikachu voice go “-FUCK!”

Since I'm drawing one of my last pages in this chapter, it's been a while since I made the rough draft. "Add a sloth". What is that supposed to mean. What was it that I wanted my future self to do on this page.

Suicide rates are absolutely going to continue to climb in the USA as long as our concept of “Mental Health” remains separated from material conditions. Antidepressants can’t cure poverty and alienation. They can’t cure the crushing pressure that comes with watching climate changing in real time, but feeling powerless because the government is too corrupt to care. They can’t cure the many chronic physical health conditions people go without treatment for because the US physical health system is bullshit. Always turning toward psychiatry for an answer is a perfect example of American style individualism killing people, because the problem is always said to exist in the individual’s brain chemicals, and society is always innocent. As the famous quote goes “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.“
