The Marshmellow Challenge: The task is simple: in eighteen minutes, teams must build the tallest free-standing structure out of 20 sticks of spaghetti, one yard of tape, one yard of string, and one marshmallow. How did this exercise help you learn about collaboration style as a person and a designer?
The Cascade Simulation - to learn how synergy and working as a team will create better results over the individual. Was this helpful and to learn about your team and how to create a structure for working together in the future?
David walked us through a mind map of the Theory of High Performing Teams. (Chart by the lovely Amanda Allen forthcoming!) and learning about the stages of team development Forming, Storming, Norming and Performing.
Here are a few of the resources mentioned in the workshop:

For further discussion: How do we want to keep building a foundation of trust? What are your goals as a group for the semester? How do they take into account individual goals? How do you want to start to establish norms around process? How do we want to give each feedback? How do we want to approach Decision Making? Whats the process and iterating? Improving the way you operate as a team? How will we celebrate imperfections!
