â here goes another year || open
Things finally quiet downed a bit after the start-of-term feast. New first years with their wondrous eyes are nowhere to be seen, mustâve all went to their rightful common rooms. Thank Merlin, he vaguely thought in his mind. The food was enjoyable and all, but Tsurugi never liked huge crowd and loud noises. Call him anti social all you want, he likes his solitude no matter what others think.
Itâs already pass 8Â pm, one hour until curfew. After witnessing such a huge crowd of people and enthusiastic new faces, Tsurugi is far from feeling sleepy. Going back to his dorm certainly is not a top choice for him; in fact, itâs the last place he wants to be right now. With his incredibly loud roommates, who knows what heâll do under the entire âdorm welcome-back partyâ atmosphere.
Tsurugi walked alone in the quiet hallways, his Munchkin cat Kiku followed behind him enthusiastically like always. The dark hallways and corridors are now familiar to Tsurugi like a second home. After all, three years has already passed since his enrollment to Hogwarts. It still seems a bit unrealistic for him, whether itâs being able to study magic in Hogwarts, or reunite with his nee-san Yuuichi, or finally went back home. Just the thoughts of all the events made it hard for him to keep his calm face, his lip cured up into a tiny smile. Heâs going to join the Quidditch team this year too, he was promised a position as a beater. Itâs hard to admit, but he IS a bit excited about the new school year.
With all the thoughts flowing through his mind, he did not notice Kiku went missing until he stopped and turned around.
Tsurugi raised a surprise eyebrow, Kiku never leaves his side, NEVER, not even when he goes to the washroom. He called his name several times, but no answer nor any sign of Kiku. So where did he go?
Just before heâs about to search in the library, he heard a voice behind him, âhey, did you lose your cat?â
Tsurugi turned around
Yuuichi knew his younger brother too well and he certainly remembered how tiring enthusiastic social events were for Kyousuke, he wouldn't go back to his dorm on a night like to night. Deciding to seek him out Yuuichi explored the quiet corridors, and it wasn't long before a familiar little cat came into his sights Kiku having noticed Yuuichi scurried from Kyouskes side to Yuuichi circling round his legs in a friendly manner Yuuichi bent down to pick up the small feline. âWell, if you're here then that means Kyosuke isn't far isn't that right.?â Walking a few more paces in the corridor he could hear his younger brother calling out for his companion a small chuckle escaped him. âHey, did you lose your cat?â as soon as those words were spoken Yuuichi came round the corner face to face with the latter.
The munchkin cat was settled comfortable in Yuuichis arms enjoying the soft head strokes the older boy was giving him. âAh! We found the lone wolf in his natural habitat!â The raven haired adolescent teased. âI knew i'd find you in the corridors, you should be more social Kyousuke. Friends are a wonderful thing to have y'know.â Pushing the topic aside now he came towards Kyousuke handing the cat back to him and messing his hair some. âHow's about we go for a walk? Better than roaming alone for an hour.â He grinned.
âI haven't seen you in a while it's good for catching up hm? I wanna hear about what you've been up to lately.â No way would Kyousuke refuse Yuuichis request.Â
Quidditch sure is great!|| Open!
It should be about time, Taiyou thought to himself, excitedly making his way to the hospital wing. It was around now that a certain someone would be telling his Quidditch stories to all the other first years who were confined to the cots from whatever injury they had. For two years had Taiyou sought out these talesâeven after he joined the Slytherin Quidditch team himself did he continue to want to listen to the boy talk.
It was justâŠthe way he talked about itâŠ.that really riled him up to play!
Climbing all the staircases to the wing was so tiring and by the time heâd reached the top, he was panting heavily. Even still, he sneaked in through the large doors and saw the dark blue spikes facing away from him and to an eager few children.
âYuuichi-kunâŠâÂ
He hadnât realized heâd said the name out loud until the other had turned around and acknowledged him, making him freeze in his tracks. Ah..
Oops.
âE-eh? Oh no! I hadnât meant to interrupt. I-I was justâŠâ He smiled nervously, âI came to listen to your stories.â Yes, the wonderful words that came from the older boyâs mouth about the wonderful sport. The same nervous smile became a slightly more comfortable one now, his feet taking him forwards to seat himself next to the other.Â
âYuuâTsurugi-senpai always has the best ones! They make me really excited for the matches weâll haveâŠah, you probably donât remember me, though, how embarrassing!â Who would remember the eleven year old he was? The bright eyed child who leaned in close from his hospital bed, and still did now from where he satâŠwellâŠ
Perhaps he would. That would make his day.
Yuuichi shook his head. âOh, don't worry it's fine.â When he got a good look of the ginger haired boy he raised his brows slightly but said nothing. Wasn't this who he thought it was? Yes, no mistaking it with that hairstyle and shade. Amemiya Taiyou he remembered the boy well! Shaking away from his thoughts he blinked twice. âAh come on in and make yourself comfortable then! I have some really good ones tonight, you got lucky!â
Laughing softly at the boys flattery he shook his hands. âOh, they're just simple stories I'm glad you think so highly of them, however. It makes me really happy that they motivate you to play quidditch!â Crossing his arms. âWell, it's a little hard to forget someone who would get so caught up in the stories that they pretty much acted as if the quidditch matches were happening right before them. Taiyou-kunâ Pausing for a moment. âI congratulate you on making it into the quidditch team this year by the way.â He straightened up. âSlytherin huh? They certainly offer us a challenge during our matches. I'll look forwards to seeing your quidditch, Taiyou.â
Yuuichi grinned and then continued from where he had left off now in his storytelling to the first years. Yuuichi had great enthusiasm as he spoke of his stories you could tell quidditch was his most favorite thing just by the way he acted. As the time passed he came to his last story of the evening and once he had finished he was now open for everyones questions and comments and thoughts of quidditch. His favorite part.
Quidditch sure is great!|| Open!
 Quidditch, one of those things that Touko had been interested in but had never really had the chance to pay attention to. Maybe it was because it was really a Hogwarts thing that she couldnât see from her town. After all, her home town really did lack in technology and modern things was not the townâs forteâŠ.Then again, Internation Quidditch wasnât much of a thing in their town eitherâbut great thing now, she could experience the joy of the sport!Â
However she head a voice who started to speak about things from a distance. It was rather soft so she thought that she was actually hallucinating. Touko walked towards where she thought the voice came from and noticed a raven haired teen speaking to a group of people. Touko thought it was interesting to see what was going on, so she joined the crowd.Â
It wasnât long until he was speaking about Quidditch. Toukoâs eyes lit up and wanted to hear more about it. Then of course, she got up and went behind him hoping that she could speak with him afterwards. She didnât necessarily call him out but she got his attention anyways.Â
âUm, well, I donât know much about quidditch b-but it would be wonderful if you can like, tell me when the next game is so Iâll come around and watch it! I always wanted to see what it would be like to watch or be the one on field!â Touko grinned at the progression of her words. âOh, hi there. My name is Touko by the way, Iâm new around here. Nice to meet you!âÂ
âOh!â Yuuichi's expression brightened as Touko showed interest in the sport which he loved so much. The young adolescent nodded. âOf course I can tell you, the more support towards quidditch the better anyhow.â Yuuichi chuckled. Hazel eyes looked back at his listeners. âI'll continue afterward not to worry.â
He turned his attention back to the young lade. âIt's good that you've taken an interest in it and it's much more thrilling watching it in person than hearing stories of it I can assure you of that..!â Standing for a moment Yuuichi held out his hand. âI'm Yuuichi Tsurugi, a 6th year it's nice to meet you as well Toukou and welcome.â The raven haired boy grinned as he took his seat once again. âSo do I have the right to assume you might want to play quidditch sometime in the near future?â
âIf so, I'd be more than happy to teach you about it. Quidditch is a really great sport, you make lots of friends from it.â He rested his cheek upon his palm. âAnyway if you'd like to keep hearing my stories you're more than welcome to stay and ask me things after perhaps?â
Quidditch sure is great!|| Open!
Yuuichi was quickly becoming accustomed to his life at Hogwarts and the classes he was taking. He genuinely enjoyed all of them though, learning of all these new things that he couldn't learn from the books he had was really great! Today Yuuichi found himself with a little extra time on his hands than usual, since his rooming was still empty it was kind of boring spending the last of his evening there really, it was then that it dawned on him to visit the hospital wing today and talk to the sickly kids that usually liked to hear his stories about quidditch! Yuuichi always liked to pass by when he had some time on his hands so those who had been at the wing for a while would always greet him as soon as he showed up.
And so, the raven haired adolescent made his way towards said destination thinking of all the new things he had to tell and hoping to cheer up a few people. Before him he could already see the wing taking a curve around a corridor he popped his head in with a grin waving slightly. âHey everyone.â He spoke with a calm soft voice. Quite a few faces lightened up to see the regular visitor showing up today again. âI've got lots of new stories to share today! I thought I'd spend a bit of my time here since im free for the most part.â Yuuichi chuckled softly as he now entered the room the usual kids and adolescents sat in a circle attentive to hear of Yuuichis adventures.
Yuuichi soon began â Now you see, we we're in a reaaal pinch last match, yet somehow everything worked out our seeker managed to really pull us out of the tight spot by catching the snitch at last notice!â Yuuichi then trailed off as he enthusiastically spoke of the quidditch he loved so much to play. As he continued storytelling he heard someone behind him call his attention coming to a pause he looked behind from the corner of his eye with a smile. âAh- I'm sorry yes?â
