#the thing i love about this video is #the fact that they’re still so awkward around each other #i mean they’re being pretty awkward in general but just look at their body language for a bit #michael steps forward to announce the clifford irwin experience #and he sort of bumps into ash #and immediately moves back a lil so they’re no longer touching #like he’s scared he’s going to make ash uncomfortable#you can see him looking back at him too like ‘oh fuck sorry dude’ #but then ashton embarrasses himself by not realizing the person is filming #(at least he appears embarrassed) #and he moves into michael #for comfort or something idk #and since this time its ashton innitated the touch michael doesnt move away #just leans into it a lil bit #aka michael knows he’s affectionate and he’s scared it will scare ashton off #but it’s okay when ashton innitiates it because it’s clear ashotns /okay/ with it#im probably looking to much into this but i just #precious lil babes who have to get used to being around each other (oliviaswizzle)

but elliiiiiiie think about this in the context of ash not knowing where he fits like this is still fetus era and ash ain’t started letting his hair go yet and he’s probably still getting used to this (this being Being A Part Of Something, him as a part of a group, a group that was already Something) and they don’t know yet that they’ve been completed almost by accident, michael didn’t just find their drummer he found their missing quarter, but they don’t know that yet, they’re still just a couple of nerds with fringes who don’t know how to be friends-friends yet
