SRG Update!! Long time coming!!
Starting off with this, we left June 9th at around 11am, we didn't get into PA until 5am the next morning! Blah, the group didn't get into PA until the 11th in the morning and that's when we started unpacking into the yards and driveways lol
There is 2 26' foot truck fulls outside! So much stuff to put in the house and everything!! It was nuts! Well, long story short, we are all settled now and wanting to start our bible studies!!
The next night, the 12th I think, Austin, Mariah, and I went to Red Robin (yummm) and witnessed to a guy there and told him about SRG and bible studies! God is creating divine appointments!!
A couple days later Mariah and I went to the Guitar Center and we met Jabin who is a drummer for a worship band in a local church and they have a song on the radio around here! We are able to get a little bit of a discount there on guitars and whatnot!! I may even get a job there to know more about music equipment in general!
Austin and I met Ryan who works at the local mall at PacSun and we invited him to chill and come to bible studies!
This is kind of a short version of what has been going on but my blogging skills will increase as I blog more lol.
Last night, Mariah and I went to the Strasburg laundry mat to do some laundry and I started a conversation with a man there who was an interesting character, the conversation started as a debate (not my doing) about creation/evolution and he put in his 2 cents worth and I gave him mine, which made him think a little. Then we talked about music and how we both listen to metal, Fear Factory and Amon Amarth and so on, then he said something like this, "I don't think I would have ever had this type of conversation with a person like you." He also said "You are the first Christian that believes in science." and I responded with something like, "well of course I do! I love looking at all the things that God has created and put on display for us to see!" As the conversation went on I realized that in the beginning of the conversation he was a little hostile and trying to get his points across loudly so they would sink in, and my responses were with the love of Christ, then as time went on, he really calmed down and was a lot more open and things like that, more friendly I guess you could call it, not that he wasn't a friendly person but more friendly in the end. He also asked me my age, I said 21... He looked at me and said, "really? You are really smart for a 21 year old, and I respect that."
As me and Mariah got in the car to leave I looked at her and said, "how in the world did I know all those things that I said?" her response "I knew you were smart but I didn't know you were that smart!." hahahahaha!! I know with out a shadow of a doubt that the Holy Spirit was giving me the words to say for sure! Praise God!!
Its been an amazing journey and I can not wait to see what happens next!!
