Testosterone Thursday- Visual Guide to Injection Types

2 years ago today I had a surgery that put me over 6000 dollars in debt, had me addicted to painkillers again for months, and was probably one of the most stressful experiences of my life. Its not always emotional chest reveals and happily ever after.
Two years ago I might have called this gender affirming surgery. Recently I’ve been thinking about how this surgery was life-changing and necessary for me to feel more at peace with my body and I don’t regret it for a second. But it did not make me feel more like a man (probably because I’m not one) it didn’t make me more masculine. It made me feel like me. And I hope that everyone who has top surgery feels more like themselves too. And I hope everyone who can’t afford it, can’t get it, or simply doesn’t want it doesn’t feel any less of who they are because of that. Shine bright out there bbs 🌟 #topsurgery #nonbinaryisbeautiful #transisbeautiful (at New York, New York)

🌹 Finally!.Link to purchase one of my drawings in bio . . As I’ve seen a lack of content that shows trans masculine bodies in a non-sexual/ non-fetishized way; I took it upon myself to make work that validates and celebrates my body. I personally have no interest in bottom surgery and at times that has made me feel “not trans enough”. I love my body for what it is and that doesn’t make me any less trans or any more or less non-binary. Some of my original drawings are now up for sale and newer drawings will be up once those are gone. I’m still relatively new to this medium but I wanted to share these and have been so grateful to everyone who has encouraged me and felt empowered by these images. Factor 2 Adhesive BT-460
Product Link: (http://www.factor2.com/B_460_B_461_B_462_Secure_II_Medical_Adhesive_p/b-460.htm)
Spoiler alert, it works.
Okay. Let me start this by saying I had just about given up on adhesive. I have tried hollister, reelmagik extra strong, medical tape, etc. Just about anything sticky to avoid using a harness, I have tried. I was convinced nothing could work. Everything left my packer falling off in my underwear and a sticky mess of glue everywhere.
BUT. This. Stuff. Works. I bought the concentrated kind, it is very thick, and comes with an application brush. I think this small container will likely last me a little while. It is definitely a little pricey to get it shipped to Canada, I paid for expensive shipping and also duties for it to enter the country, so be prepared for that. But it works.
I applied it to the tab of my emisil gen 2 and let it sit for a few minutes as directed. Instantly when I stuck it to my body it adhered, and felt smooth against me. I held it there and pushed down to let it stick, and went about my day. I was worried, because I have had such bad experiences with adhesives, but it stayed in place.
I could wear this thing for over 24 hours and trust it to stay in place. I swam with it, wore it in the shower, worked out and sweat, etc. Even when it started to peel a bit, it didn’t slide around, and held until I could apply more adhesive.
The remover also works extremely well. The wipes I purchased are very convenient to have on you, and clean up your skin quickly and gently. No harsh scrubbing necessary, just wipe away the residue left by the adhesive.
For the casual wearer, this adhesive will keep your prosthetic stuck on for a few days. For the more active wearer, expect to reapply every day or so.
I’m thrilled to have found something that actually works, and I’m excited to pair it with some Rodeohs in hopes to create a (near) perfect packing experience.
On a different note:
I’ve been increasingly seeing trans masculine people post things relating to not feeling like they can share their experiences or stories because there are “enough of them” or other people’s stories are more important than theirs. (Example trans women, femmes etc)
Certain people in our communities need their stories elevated because they haven’t been before. This is true! They need to be heard! We need to do more of that! However this doesn’t mean yours aren’t important or worthy of being told! We all have valuable experiences and things to say and you’re allowed to have a space and a voice in the world
Supporting and uplifting others doesn’t mean you need to dim yourself down or fade into the background. Anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong.
Y'all please PLEASE share/donate to this campaign if you can. I’ve been internet friends with @shawndeclan for years now and this is terrifying. Gofundme.com/freeshawnjohnson

Trans masculine folks!
If you’ve seen my recent posts, you’ll know I’ve been working on a series of drawings aimed at beautifying and normalizing the genitals of trans masculine bodies.
I have opened up submissions on my blog and am looking for people to submit photos that I can use to practice and diversify my drawings. I welcome all obviously but would love submissions from POC, phalloplasty photos, and even from intersex folks.
If you could spread this, I’d appreciate it so much!

Existing as a trans/nonbinary person is hard! Struggling with mental illness is hard! Throw that on top of life’s everyday struggles and that shit is H A R D.
Thank you to those of you who are so vulnerable and open about how hard you are fighting every day. Your visibility continuously inspires me to push through. I see you. You got this 💕 WE got this 💪
