“Yeah, because you know so much about me.” Logan scoffed, shaking his head. He nodded at Mason’s answer just silently following the older male towards his car. “You’ll find out once we get there.” The blonde replied, sending the other a playful wink. Smiling bit as Mason opened the door for him, the blonde got into the passenger’s seat and started typing into his phone before handing it to his soulmate. “That’s the address.”
“Maybe if you’d-” he stopped himself from saying something he wouldn’t be able to get out of and exhaled. “Nevermind. Forget it.” he smiled and closed the door once the blonde got in, only just catching a glimpse of the wink sent his way. Mason wasn’t sure where exactly they were headed but he was always open to a new adventure. Once in the driver’s seat he buckled up and put the address into the GPS to make it easier to travel. “How far are we talking here? I’m getting pretty hungry now too.” he commented, now starting up the car and beginning to follow the directions provided to him.
itslogan-wright :
“Well, I don’t like being pitied. And learned a long time ago not to accept drinks from strangers.” The blonde replied as they kept walking. He could tell Mason was starting to get annoyed with him and it’d be a lie to say Logan wasn’t enjoying. Part of him wanted to test the other male to see just how far he could push and what would happened if he reached a breaking point. “Anywhere, really. I’m starting to get really hungry.” Logan said, pouting a bit. “Did you drive here? I know a place but it’s a bit far.”
“And yet somehow I doubt that.” Mason said rolling his eyes. From what he’d noticed Logan loved attention and if someone pitied him enough to give him all the attention in the world he had a hunch that the blonde would love it. “Yeah my car is on the next block.” he answered, leading the way to it. “So where exactly are we heading?” he asked, unlocked the vehicle and opened the passenger door for his soulmate.
itslogan-wright :
“Good, you should be. I had to leave the restaurant because it was getting too embarrassing to just sit there without ordering anything.” Logan countered, glaring at his soulmate. As the minutes went by and the brunette was still a no show, he had wondered if the other would even come. “Maybe I should’ve accepted when this guy took pity on me and offered to buy me a drink.”
“Yeah, maybe you should’ve.” Mason muttered under his breath. He wasn’t sure how much longer he’d be able to take the blonde’s complaining. He wanted a fun and easy night. Sure he might’ve ruined it but it was one mistake and it felt like he was going to be punished the whole night for it. Mason shoved his hands in his pockets as he walked along side Logan and stared down at his feet. “Well where do you want to go now? If you’d stayed a little longer maybe we’d still have our reservation.”
Mason groaned after a night of incessant complaining. “For the millionth time- I. Am. Sorry.” he apologized yet again. Yes he forgot about their date and when he did remember he showed up about twenty minutes late, but for the rest of the night he spent all his energy on trying to make it up to Logan. @itslogan-wright

“I’ve never actually seen any of the Starwars movies, not even the new ones, I feel like I’d probably like them, but for some reason I’ve just never really watched them.” Jace admitted, glancing at the blond as they walked before letting out a laugh after they both told them their ages. “Hey now, I’m short but I’m not a kid, don’t insult your hyung.” He replied with a grin, nudging Mason in the side with his hip playfully. “You guys are officially my cute dongsaengs, I’m twenty-one, pushing twenty-two in the winter.” He quipped, before glancing back at Logan and giving him a soft smile.
@itslogan-wright
Logan was quietly listening to Jace and Mason’s conversation as he finished replying to his texts. A worried look crossed his features as the blonde saw how many missed calls from Matthew he had received in the last hour or so. He was honestly growing tired of the older guy’s need to check on him every two hours or so when he was away. Almost felt like he didn’t trust him. Sending the other a quick text, Logan briefly glanced up at Mason’s question. “No, I just missed some important calls while my phone was on silent mode. Was trying to reach back to them.” He explained, shrugging. But he did put his phone away after that. His eyebrows raised in shock at hearing Jace’s confession. “No way! We need to change that as soon as possible. I call Star Wars marathon as out next date. We’ll probably need a whole weekend but it’ll be worth it.” He said, smiling. The blonde decided to use a new tactic to get his soulmates attention, which basically consisted of competing with Mason for Jace’s attention. Laughing softly as the pink haired male corrected the taller one, he realized he was liking him more by the second. “Oh, so I’m the maknae?” He asked, liking the idea of acting cute get his way. Finishing his coffee, Logan threw the empty cup into a nearby trash can and holding onto Jace’s shoulder’s he climbed on his back. Wrapping his arms and legs around the older male. “Got tired of walking.” Logan explained, resting his head on Jace’s shoulder as he sent Mason a look and smirked a bit.
@masonxmoon
“And I thought I was the nerd.” he teased after noticing how excited Logan got at the topic of Star Wars. “Ohhh yayyy~ nerdy movie weekend.” he lightly cheered sounding anything but enthusiastic; however, he was glad to see the blonde finally joining and taking interest in the conversation. “Maknae?” he questioned. All the names being mentioned were new to him. He knew of his background but never actually delved into the culture seeing as he was adopted and didn’t have anyone else around like him. A light pink hue covered his cheeks as he felt a little lost as to what they were talking about but he’d figure it out eventually. That’s what google was for anyway. Before he knew it, Logan was playing the part of Koala and clinging onto Jace’s back. “Careful we just found Jace, don’t break him.” Mason said to Logan, not very impressed by the ‘cute’ act whatsoever. The male leaned in close to Jace’s ear and whispered, “get used to that,” referring to what Mason always perceived as a desperate need for attention.

Jace couldn’t help but feel like there was a lot he was missing, he was glad to meet his soulmates, ecstatic really, but he felt a little out of the loop, like he needed to catch up on getting to know them both. “No rom-coms, gotcha, what about fantasy movies with a little romance in them? Like Lord of the Rings?” He questioned jokingly, trying to make things a little less tense. He glanced at Mason’s hand as it was offered, and had it been anyone else he might have thought it was a little fast, but then again these two were his soulmates, so something about slipping his small hand into the other’s felt natural. Yet a part of him felt bad, wanting to Include Logan, but that slight iciness to the other had him worried if Jace himself tried it would be unwelcomed. “So, how old are you guys? That’s probably a good place to start.” He mused, starting down the street.
@itslogan-wright
A small smile made way into the blonde’slips as Mason kissed his cheek, his mood improving a bit as he turned to Jaceto answer the other’s question. “Lord of the Rings would be okay, yes. But StarWars is more like my type of movie.” The blonde replied, still smiling as hetook a first real look at the pink haired male. Jace looked pretty cute butand handsome. Just when Logan was starting to think this couldactually work, his soulmates had another moment together and left him out of it. Hisprevious smile was replaced with a frown as the blonde looked down at theirjoined hands. Taking his phone out of his pocket, Logan stated looking throughhis texts and replying to some of them, completely ignoring the other two andletting them walk ahead as he followed behind. “Nineteen.” He replied distractedly,still not looking at them. @masonxmoon·
Mason smiled when he noticed that Jace’s hand practically fit perfectly in his; however, as they started walking and he felt how distant Logan had become in just a matter of seconds, that smile slowly faded away. The loud teen wasn’t even seeking attention like Mason had become used to witnessing. “And I’m twenty. What about you? I’m assuming you’re at least over 18 since you mentioned dorms earlier...or you were a kid genius. Which is it?” Mason asked before turing to look back at Logan over his shoulder and sighing. “Are we boring you?” he questioned the blonde.

A slightly bemused look settled on his face at Logan’s comment, and he let out a warm laugh. “I think you’ve been watching one too many romcoms, even soulmates are strangers when they first meet, all it means is that you’re meant to be together, but you still have to build it up a little you know? You need to know get to know the little things about someone instead of just rushing blindly into it.” Jace replied, tracing the other’s timer much like he had Mason’s. “I really don’t have a lot of experience with soulmate timers hitting zero, you guys have a little more than me, but it looks pretty real to me.” Jace hummed, turning his gaze back to Mason. “There’s a park near my dorms that’s not too far from here, we could walk there.” He proposed, motioning in the direction with his chin.
@itslogan-wright
Logan lifted his cup to take a small sip of his drink, avoiding answering Mason’s question. Yes, he still had doubts. The way how Mason and Jace already seemed closer with each other than he was to either one of them was not helping at all. “You’re welcome, by the way.” He muttered, letting out an annoyed huff at not being thanked properly for getting Mason his favorite coffee order, proving he was paying attention to details since the first date even if his nonchalant attitude indicated otherwise. “I don’t watch romcoms, not my type of movie. Was just telling you what I’ve heard from others.” Logan countered, blushing slightly. His eyes followed Jace’s fingers as the other traced his timer. Stopping for a minute to consider what his soulmates had proposed he nodded. “That could work.” The blonde finally agreed.
@masonxmoon
“Oh...thank you, Logan.” he chuckled, leaning over to give him a small peck on the cheek. Mason was gradually taking baby steps into feeling more comfortable getting close physically with Logan and now he’d do the same with Jace so no one would get left out. He took a small sip of his drink and nodded yes to Jace’s suggestion about the park. “Sounds good.” To make up for lost time he held his hand out for the pink haired male to take a hold of if he wanted to. Wasn’t anything he hadn’t done with Logan before so he didn’t think it’d be that big of a deal if he only held Jace’s hand for now. Besides, if they were going to make this work there shouldn’t be jealousy among them.

Jace kept that smile on his lips, waiting for some kind of reaction, but the other was looking at him so intently he really wasn’t about to complain about the silence, the only reason he was talking so much was due to it being a nervous tick. His gaze shifted to the blond when he showed up, eyes going wide when a starbucks bag was thrust into his hands, a little confused with what exactly was going on “I uh-” He clamped his mouth shut, worrying his bottom lip between his teeth as he watched the two interact, only growing more and more confused by the second. “Two-? You mean both of you?” His questioned, gaze shifting to Logan, before back to Mason as the other stretched his arm out. Taking in the sight of the second timer, he couldn’t help but reach down and trace the skin just below it as though making sure it was real. While most soulmates were pairs, it wasn’t unheard of for a trio to show up once in awhile. He turned his gaze to Logan, and gave him a small timid smile. “Can I see yours?” He questioned.
@itslogan-wright
The question surprised the blonde a bit, with everything that happened he didn’t even check that. “I didn’t look yet but it doesn’t matter, my timers are clearly messed up. Never truly believed in any of that stuff but from the stories I’ve heard, when you meet your soul mate you should have an instant connection with them, things should flow effortlessly. That didn’t happen to us.” The blonde said quietly, noticing that Mason couldn’t even keep his attention on him long enough. At the brunette’s words, Logan just frowned slightly not entirely convinced he was supposed to be a part of this. “Could’ve been a mistake.” He mumbled stubbornly. Turning to Jace, he nodded at the request and lifted up the sleeve on his black cardigan, showing him the timer. A surprised look on his face as Logan noticed it had also stopped.
@masonxmoon
Mason wasn’t entirely convinced that the timers were wrong simply because he and Logan didn’t get along the best right away. Even the best relationships required work and he was sure not every pairing would react exactly the same. “Not a mistake.” he smiled, looking down at Logan’s second zeroed out timer. “See? Still have your doubts?” he asked the blonde. Mason felt like part of Logan’s doubts were his fault. He’d made it pretty difficult to get close to Logan but the other’s attitude would be Mason would need to get used to. “Well we have coffee and cookies now so...how about we all go for a walk? We can get to know each other better. You can pick the place, Jace. I’d offer to hold your hands but we’re holding something so that really wouldn’t work out would it?”

Jace couldn’t help but feel a little relieved to find out that his soulmate wasn’t and old man or a baby, but rather a grown man who looked to be close enough to his own age for there not to be any problems. “I’m alright, I don’t think I hurt anything besides my pride.” He offered a small sheepish smile to the other, accepting the drawing and quickly tucking the loose papers back into his sketch book, before slipping the entire thing into his satchel to avoid any further runaway drawings. “Thank you, Mason.” He let the name roll off his tongue, testing the way it sounded before smiling. “I’m Jace, and I’m really glad you’re not elderly or a baby.” He joked, holding out his hand for a hand shake. “I think this is the part in those super cheesy movies where we’re supposed to exchange numbers and grab a coffee, right?”
Logan didn’t mean to be late but the traffic was incredibly slow that afternoon, which left the blonde muttering curses under his breath as the time on his countdown was getting closer to reaching zero. He was already stressing over what this new countdown could mean, so the possibility of being late and missing something important didn’t help his mood at all. Luckily, he was able to get to the place Mason had suggested with a few minutes to spare.Before starting looking for the brunette, however, Logan decided to make a quick stop at Starbucks and get the other his favorite coffee order as an apology for being late. Getting himself an Iced Caramel Macchiato, he took the orders to go and started looking for Mason. The blonde wanted to reach for his phone and give the other a call but he couldn’t do it while holding two cups of coffee. He was starting to get impatient when upon turning aroundthe teen finally found Mason.
And in that moment he wished he didn’t. As he watched the two interact, it all became clear to him. He was the third wheel in that equation, the one with a messed up timer. Or two, actually. How lucky. And just when Logan was starting to enjoy spending time with Mason too, it was a good thing he didn’t allow himself to get attached. But then again, if that was the case then why did it feel like there was tightness in his chest? The blonde was about to turn around and leave, but as sending them one last glance and seeing that nothing was really happening, Logan rolled his eyes and walked over. Stoppingbefore Mason, he handed over the coffee. “What are you doing? Life basically handed you the perfect excuse to start conversation and you’re not taking it? Ask him about his sketches, make a comment on the style, just do something. He’s clearly your true soulmate, go get him.” Turning towards the pink haired male, Mason handed over a Starbucks bag. “Hope you’re okay with Chocolate Chip cookies, enjoy.“
Mason found himself mesmerized by Jace’s smile. He seemed so friendly, it was quite the contrast to his first meeting with Logan, then again that was his own fault for seeming so cold to begin with but could you blame him for being a little shocked? It took him a moment to realize he was actually staring completely heart eyes at the shorter male. Had it not been for Logan entering abruptly he probably wouldn’t know how to shake it off. He didn’t even get a chance to respond to Jace’s invitation before he was being chastised by the blonde. It was a little embarrassing but quite frankly it was the push he needed to speak up. “Wait...what do you mean ‘true soulmate’? Didn’t your second timer stop also?” he questioned Logan before turning to look at Jace. He wouldn’t be surprised if this sudden side conversation left him more than a little confused. “Jace I know this probably isn’t what you were expecting but...I think we’re both your soulmates.” Mason said pointing to Logan and himself. “Logan and I met a while ago and after that we both got a new countdown right next to our original one.” he explained and stretched out his arm so that Jace could see that he wasn’t lying about the two timers.
@fckjxce
[ @masonxmoon & @logan-wright ]
Jace knew he should be excited, everyone was excited to meet their soulmate, right? Yet he couldn’t calm that roaring bundle of nerves in his stomach, that was clawing away at his insides. The lower his countdown got, the more his worries grew, fretting over the idea of them being too old, or too young, of them thinking he wasn’t good enough, there were so many possibilities and only the worst were going through his head. Anxiously he tapped his pencil against his sketchbook, leaving tiny little graphite dots as he stared ahead so caught up in his mind that by the time he realized the breeze had picked up it was too late. The loose papers tucked into his sketch book flew free in the breeze. The motion snapped him out of his thoughts, and he jumped to his feet, quickly chasing after his drawings, picking them up one by one. Crouching he tried to move to retrieve one before a stranger could step on it, losing his balance in the process and tipping from his toes onto his butt with a small ‘oof’, landing directly in the path of foot traffic.
“Shit, fucking hell-” He breathed, having quite the vulgar mouth for a man with cotton candy pink hair. “Sorry, let me get out of your way.” He mumbled, starting to push himself to his feet, before he caught sight of the countdown on his arm ticking down from one second to zero. His gaze flickered up, eyes wide, landing on a rather handsome face. “Bloody fuck, out of all the times for me to fall on my ass.” He mumbled, brushing the dirt off his jeans.
Mason was growing more and more anxious by the second. His countdown was closing in on zero and here he was waiting for Logan whom was nowhere to be seen. He’d had some fun with the blonde the past couple of weeks as they tried to get to know each other better- but as much time as he spent laughing with Logan he spent just as much time getting annoyed by the other’s attitude. He hoped whoever the met today wouldn’t be as moody, but even if they were he would still be patient. The raven haired male found himself pacing back and forth as if that would help calm him down. It wasn’t until a piece of paper hit his leg that his pacing came to a stop. He took it his between his finger and gave it a good look- it was impressive but that left the question as to whose it was. Wasn’t hard to figure out once he saw a small pink dot chasing after a couple papers scattered about.
“Excuse me?” The male slowly approached him only to be set off balance by the other falling back onto him. He was more concerned with making sure the the pink haired male was okay than with himself. “It’s fine, are you alright?” he asked, completely forgetting about the countdown for a moment. Mason started handing over the sketch when he was finally reminded of his timer as he got a glimpse of his zeroed out countdown. He wasn’t sure what to say. He’d been hoping Logan would be here to take out the situation but that didn’t seem to be the case. “Hi. I’m Mason. Umm...I think this is yours.” he was painfully awkward for someone who was going through this for a second time.
