Ok this is incredible so I thought you needed to know. So the Scotland-Haiti game is in foxborough, and the effects of this are noticeable. Boston has a big Haitian population, but the sheer influx of Scottish tourists has probably at least met the number of Haitians. You go to liquor stores and entire rows of Scottish beer are just empty. The Scots are everywhere. However, in the entirety of Boston there is exactly one (1) Scottish pub, the haven. The Haven has, in anticipation of Scotland’s first game, gotten a permit for the entirety of the parking lot. I drove over at like noon and the entire place was full of men with kilts playing music and drinking (this is not a small parking lot). The game wasn’t due to start for many hours. The Haven has this permit for three days, and so they’re running this festival for the day before, the day of, and the day after the game. Everything is insane.
