"Captain, do we have a headin'?"
“West, Master Ragetti. We’re headed west. Merchant ships are runnin’ heavy with goods, believin’ themselves safe.” Barbossa grinned slyly out at the water. “I think it’s high time we remind them who’s waters these really are.”
Ragetti nodded, accepting his order and smiled shyly. "Aye." It didn't really matter to him where they sailed, he had the up most respect for Barbossaa and would sail to the ends of the earth if he ordered, which he had before. meansno

“I do like learnin’ bout new stuff even though Pint thinks I’m mad for doin’ it. He‘s always sayin’ there’s only two things a pirate should be carin’ bout, rum and wenches. But I think’s there’s more then that.” Ragetti admitted honestly, although he didn’t know exactly...
Ragetti froze shyly as Calypo surprisingly embraced him, blood rushing to his cheeks in a blush. He had stood on the sideline in what could maybe be called envy as she gave Jack affection but he had never really experienced himself, except that one night. He shivered slightly at her tender touch on his weathered skin, mixed with her whisper. “I...I don’t know“ he stuttered out quietly, trying to find the words to explain himself and his actions. Why did he come and more so why did he kiss her? He knew she deserved a answer, she had always been honest with him. He very timidly and shakily wrapped his arms around her to hold her.
“I...I...I’ve missed you s...since I released you.” Ragetti said shakily. “I’m...I’m not used to anyone payin’ me any mind ‘cept maybe Pint and not a woman. B..But I feel different with you...” It was the truth, he couldn’t get her out of his mind. He had spent many nights alone just staring out at the sea, wishing he could see her again. So when the Pearl had sailed close enough inland he jumped ship in hopes to find her. As for the kiss? He shocked himself when he did it although he would be lying to himself if he didn’t admit that he had wanted to do it many times like he had seen Poppet kiss Turner.
“I like bein’ docked in Tortuga since it once my home.”
“An’ it be de only home you know.” It wasn’t a question, it was a statement; she knew that it was true even if some part of her wanted to change that.
She would never be home to him.
Ragetti blinked at her confused and shook his head slightly. "Even through Tortuga was my home once, I don't havin' one here now with my mum gone."
“I like bein’ docked in Tortuga since it once my home.”

"Hello, Poppet." he said with a light smile at the woman who had become his friend.
Elizabeth smiled at the sight of him. Hair in loose tendrils of tarnished gold waving with the breeze, she held firmly to the railing of her inherited ship. He looked good with an eyepatch.
❝Ragetti.❞ His name sneaked through her grin before she could think. Many a sailor and pirate had sailed with the lanky pirate under their gaze and so few knew his name. Elizabeth in her time as his ally had pointedly learned his name. He and his convictions were unforgettable to her. Someone shouted in Chinese to her back and she turned halfway around to cast a glance over the deck before stepping aside to allow him step up beside her. ❝You’re a sight, aren’t you . . ?❞
“Aye.” Ragetti nodded shyly to her but his light smile not leaving, it was refreshing to see her. Their friendship had been a odd one from him helping his uncle to kidnapping her when they first met to saving her from the kraken to just the upmost respect he had for her as Pirate King.
“I do hope the sea’s been treatin’ you well.”

"Captain? Orders?"
“Why Master Ragetti it be a glorious day wit’ full wind in th’ sails. There be nary a ship nor spit o’ land on th’ horizon. Th’ wheel be yers…which direction will ye go?”
“You wantin’ me to steer the Pearl? I’ve never done it, Captain.”

“Given enough time, you be learning all sorts of t'ings…” She offered cryptically; over the centuries, she’d found herself in need of the skill, so she’d learned. Every word, every language, every letter and symbol beyond her own gibberish roots had been burned into her brain; but it had not been easy. Taking the bible from him gently, she set it on the time worn wooden floor of the loft on her other side, just out of his reach.
“Go to de bookcase an’ get one of my books” she commanded with a smile, the bible was good enough for scripture but to learn to read, the mind should be sparked and for that the twitterings of a human representation of a deity was not her recommendation. She had seen the rise and fall of religions, watched her own congregation fall until she was nothing but a story. If there was one thing she didn’t hold in high esteem it was religions believed by men.
“Or do you be wanting a different lesson?”
“I do like learnin’ bout new stuff even though Pint thinks I’m mad for doin’ it. He‘s always sayin’ there’s only two things a pirate should be carin’ bout, rum and wenches. But I think’s there’s more then that.” Ragetti admitted honestly, although he didn’t know exactly why. Maybe it’s because she was the only woman who had gave him even ounce of attention besides his own mum and maybe “Poppet”. Or maybe there was more to it then that, the simple pirate didn’t know. Maybe deep down that’s why he was able to muster enough courage to give her a proper releasing, but he wasn’t sure. All he did know was he did enjoy the time he spent with her and she made him feel things he didn’t feel alone on the sea.
So when Calypso gently took his Bible from him he merely obeyed and walked over to her bookcase to choose something different, not questioning it at all until she offered something else entirely.
“What sort of lesson?” Ragett asked curiously.
“Calypso, I release you from your human bonds.”
Ragypso ~ Ragetti and Calypso
Ragetti timidly followed her deeper in to her shack, careful to avoid the things that made him wary like the jar of eyes hanging from the ceiling for obvious reasons. He watched her curiously from outside the room, not surprised she didn’t answer. From sailing with her, he had come accustom to not always receiving a answer but as she pulled out the shell, his eyes widened.
She had the most uncanny way of knowing what exactly what people were seeking and he had long ago figured it had to do with her being a Goddess but still it startled Ragetti quite a bit. He listened to her instruction with a confused look on his face, trying to make sense of them. “A sea that the dead don’t be visiting?” he repeated as a question.
She shook her head, one finger waving at him as he misconstrued the words she’d spoken.
“Not de dead” She snapped a little more harshly than she’d meant to, “De sea dat Deat’ himself…does not visit.” Her words seemed to confuse him and she watched as he worked them through his mind with slow precision. Pulling the basin away from him as he reached for it, she grinned once more, her tone almost playful.
“You know I require payment.”
“Death don’t visit it? I didn’t know there were places he didn’t.” This was sounding more like a place like Davy Jones locker and he was getting nervous. He never wished to question Barbossa’s judgement but Ragetti didn’t want to sail to another dangerous place like that.
He was pondering this when Calypso suddenly pulled away the shell, demanding payment so it instantly startled him.
“P..Payment.?..Oh like with Jack...that bugger....uh....“ What did he have that she would want? There were only a few things he had to his name and he doubted she would value any of them. And it wasn’t like Barbossa sent him with anything. What could a simple pirate like himself offer to a great seagodess? He honestly didn’t know,
