Kabuki Rache "Can you tell me where and when I am?" The voice behind the mask was emotionless and feminine. 22:04
Adele (Delta): "I'm good." She looks over. "2013 and London milady!" 22:04
Allonsy rolls his eyes and continues walking. "London... brilliant..." 22:04

Cassie furrowed her brow, pulling her jacket closer to her body. She stayed across the street, a good distance from the crowd that had appeared in the alleyway. She was careful to stay in the shadows, not to be seen. Cass kept one eye on the Doctor, unsure of what to think about the very out-of-place group. 22:17
Allonsy turned around. "What do you mean by that?" 22:17
Marvel There's a beep. "Oh dear, Rache? A little he--CASSIE!" 22:18

Cassie jumped, looking a bit startled in the direction of the phone booth. Cassie? No one had called her that in... nearly a hundred years. "What the-?" She froze in place, eyeing the box warily. 22:19

Kabuki Rache "It means... Uncle dearest, you need to pay attention." 22:19

Her voice never rose loud enough for the others to hear, though she was certain this... telephone box could hear her. 22:21

Cassie looked up at Marvel's call and then dashed forward, watching as the ginger woman attacked the Doctor. She tackled her to the ground, restraining her wrists. "What the hell are you doing?" 22:25

Allonsy shakes his head halfway down the street and walks back to the masked woman. "What do you mean, uncle?" 22:29

Cassie furrowed her brow, returning to the shadows. This was all a bit much for her. She leaned back against the brick face of a building behind her, making herself as small as she could while she watched. 22:35

Marvel creates a barrier, blocking Allonsy 22:37

Bowties felt his mind begin to race. He was surrounded by strangers, with no idea how he'd come to be there. "Everybody calm down. Whatever brought us here...I think it wants us to fight." 22:38
Allonsy growled at the touch. "Don't touch me." 22:38

Cassie "You would." Cass murmured under her breath, eyeing the Eleventh Doctor. 22:38

Kabuki Rache "Don't accuse me of lying then, Uncle." She growled back. "I'm not the same woman that grew up around you and I don't know why you're being just a godsdamned ass." 22:39

Cassie quirked a brow. "Angsting?" She returned her gaze to the Doctor. "Take the lead, always assume there's a reason for us being here." She shrugged. "It just seems to be your favourite answer to every question." 22:40

Cassie sighed. "Right, well coming with me will do just that, yeah? Marvel, you're a TARDIS. Any ideas where I live? Apparently none of this is affectingg you." 22:57
Bella "Oh yes, run away and never stop." She says sarcastically. "Cause that fixes everything." 22:58
Kabuki Rache "Yes, I'm the daughter of the Master. Is that a problem?" She snapped at him. 22:58
Cassie "You stop it." She snapped at Bella. 22:58
Marvel pauses and suddenly they're all in Cassie's backyard. 22:58
Allonsy growls at both of them and walks away. 22:58

Allonsy finds the right frequency on the sonic to take down the barrier and slips away. 23:00

Bowties sighed. "I'll help," he volunteered, following her. Something about her tugged at his memory, and he couldn't explain it but...he felt safer, staying close to her... 23:01

Cassie put the kettle on, trying her best to ignore the fighting in her garden. "Right, erm... I think there's some sugar in the pantry." She looked helplessly into the empty container in her hands. 23:01
Marvel "I understand you're grieving, but this isnt the time." 23:01
Allonsy whirls. "Grieving doesn't even half cover it. Stop trying to pretend you understand me!" 23:02
Bowties began looking through the pantry. He knew he should feel uncomfortable, rooting around in a stranger's home...but it felt oddly familiar. 23:03
Allonsy "I don't want to be around people right now. Everyone gets hurt." 23:03
Allonsy "Just. Let. Me. Leave." 23:03
Kabuki Rache leaned against the tree, shaking her head. "Why do I bother.. Oh yeah, because I can't see to die." She muttered. 23:03
Marvel "Medusa cascade. you just lost Rose tyler to the metacrisis. martha jones is gone along with harkness and smith. I think youll find that we';re perfectly capable of defending themselves so stop playing the matyr." 23:03
Allonsy looks up at Rache. "Why would you /want/ to?" 23:03
Bella "Lost, more like exiled them both." sh mumbles 23:04
Cassie "Find it?" She rummaged about for two teacups, not bothering to ask the others if they were interested. "I'm not sure what's going on out there. I don't like it, either." She wrinkled her nose, glancing out the window with teacups in hand. 23:04
Marvel "bella, shut up." She says exasperated. 23:04
Allonsy ignores both of them, waiting for Rache's response 23:04
Marvel "yes, i know you're bitter. Save the punching for the one responsible." 23:04
Bowties "We're all supposed to know each other?" he asked, frowning. "Do you think we always fight this much?" 23:05
Kabuki Rache "Why would I want to die? Because I ruined my families lives by existing. Or Rather, why do I bother?" She lifted her chin again. "This is why I bother. Becuase if it doesn't work the first time, its time to find another way. I just happen to have extraordinary luck." 23:05
Cassie shrugged. "I'm not really sure. Which is strange. Not a lot slips my notice when it comes to you, Doctor." She bit her lip. Had she said too much? 23:05
Allonsy shook his head and walked over to the woman. "No... that's not how you're supposed to go about life." 23:06
Marvel "Oh Rache." The cat frowns. "You are not..." 23:06
Allonsy "You're supposed to... /live/ and ..." he let out an exasperated sigh. 23:06
Kabuki Rache "Then maybe you should enlighten me. When nobody came looking for me after three days.." She cut herself off. "Every day is another day I have to suffer through, and hope my job kills me." 23:07
Allonsy falls silent and attempts to hug her. 23:08
Bella closes her eyes and slinks off inton the house. 23:08
Marvel "Bella.." She sighs, but doesnt follow her. 23:08
Bowties raised his eyes. "You...you know me?" 23:08
Kabuki Rache "Don't touch me." She moved away from him. "Not like you cared when I disappeared the first time." 23:09
Cassie cleared her throat, taking the kettle off the stove. "Will you get the tea from the cupboard above the stove?" She avoided his gaze. 23:09
Cassie "Hello." She looked over at Bella, glad for the interruption. "Tea?" 23:09
Allonsy "Like I said before... I have never met you before in my life." 23:09
Bella "Do you have chai tea?' She whispers 23:10
Cassie smiled and retrieved the canister and another teacup. "Of course." She poured Bella's tea and handed it to her. "You look a bit ruffed up." 23:11
Kabuki Rache "Does it matter? I know four of your lives and not a single one gave enough of a damn to stop me." 23:11
Allonsy "Then I'm sorry on their behalf, love..." 23:12
Bella "I hate him." She says. 23:12
Kabuki Rache shook her head, turning away from him, the guns strapped onto her back visible. 23:12
Allonsy "Oakdown... daughter of the Master? How is he?" 23:13
Cassie nodded, leaning back against the counter as she waited for the Doctor to fetch the tea. "As you have every right to." 23:13
Kabuki Rache "No idea. I've not seen anyone family since I was 16." 23:13
Allonsy "I'm sorry..." 23:13
Bella her face crumpled. "They're all dead." She says. "Old age. I should have died with them." 23:14

Kabuki Rache "Why do you even care?" She whirled, eyes dark with emotion through the eye holes of her mask. 23:15
Bella "Plans for a clone? A mistake, echo?" I should have just died on the Crucible with the Daleks." 23:15
Cassie "The Universe doesn't make mistakes." She replied gently, offering Bella a small smile. 23:16
Allonsy "Because... I don't like seeing people hurt." He swallowed. "And I failed a lot of people in that capacity recently. So I'm trying to help... Since apparently leaving isn't an option..." 23:16
Marvel sniggered, amused 23:16
Bella "Maybe im an anomaly then." 23:16
Kabuki Rache made a noise. "I'm just a mistake anyway. Everything I touch end up ruined." She looked at her gloved hand, glad he couldn't see the quiver in her lip. 23:17
Cassie "Is that so bad?" She brushed the Doctor aside, impatient with his fumbling around her cupboards. She made two cups of tea and held one out to him before sipping at her own. 23:18
Allonsy glared at Marvel "You can shut up. Now." 23:18
Marvel quirked an eyebrow. ~I said nothing~ 23:18
Allonsy instinctively raised a hand to put it to her shoulder, but let it drop half way. "No, you're not." 23:18
Marvel stretches out in a sunbeam. 23:19
Bowties smirked. Typical Cassie, he thought to himself, always so impatient . Then his smile faded quickly, and his hearts began beating faster. How did I know that? 23:19
Cassie glanced at the Doctor, furrowing her brow slightly. "You alright there?" 23:20
Marvel ~Valkyrie, you sound like my pilot. Always doubting themselves but capable of such good~ 23:20

Kabuki Rache "Says who?" She growled. "I was never supposed to happen. A bit of faerie magic.. Thats the only reason I even exist. I brought my mother's regeneration on her by my shear stupidity." She turned to the voidtiger. ~Such good? I'm a murderer.~ 23:21
Cassie looked back to Bella but said nothing more. 23:21
Bowties shook his head. "I don't think I am..." 23:22
Marvel: ~Says the voidtiger who has seen your future. it's marvelous. And ive met the madam. She loves you, even if you think otherwise.~ 23:23
Cassie frowned. "What's the matter." She turned her body towards him, not entirely sure why she was so anxious. Cass corrected herself and drank a mouthful of too-hot tea, flinching as it burner throat. 23:23
Kabuki Rache "If she loves me so much, why didn't she care when I tried killing myself?" She asked quietly. "My future is nothing but death and destruction." 23:24
Allonsy hung his head. How could he convince her of her worth when he was questioning his own? 23:24
Marvel ~Mothers arent all knowing. heck, aprents arent. Life would be easier if it was~ 23:25
Kabuki Rache "I've been gone for six fucking years." She squeezed hands tight. "She's never tried to find me once." 23:26
Marvel ~Or maybe you're just a good hider?~ 23:27
Allonsy walks away from the pair and goes to hide in a corner. 23:28
Kabuki Rache snarled at the voidtiger and turned her back to her. 23:28

Bowties wrinkled his nose. "It's...hard to say. Have you ever...stood on the periphery of something wonderful...something amazing that might have happened...or should have happened...but then it didn't? And you can feel the traces, feel the loss, but not the thing itself?" 23:30

Cassie took another drink, watching him closely. Only my whole life. "No, I've no idea what that's like." 23:31
Kabuki Rache pulled her mask off, showing her disfigured, scarred face. "This is marvelous?" She growled. "This is the face of a monster." 23:31

Cassie shook her head. "Don't be sorry for observation." She set down her cup and studied the bowtied man, still not sure how to feel about him. Cassie took it and pulled away the towels, tearing off the fabric of her shirt. "Sorry about this." She dumped the whole bottle of alcohol onto the wound before returning the pressure. "You're worth every moment." 2:00
Artzes helps to pull Rache into a sitting position. 2:00
Artzes "You need to stay with me firefly, so I can show you everything you have to live for." 2:01
Cassie took Artzes' hand and pressed it to the towel so she could stand and find a dry one. She returned and switched them out. 2:01
Artzes applied pressure to the wound, murmuring softly in Gallifreyan. "You are worth all of my lives and more, Manyetha." 2:02
Kabuki Rache screamed, tears running from one eye. "There is nothing for me anymore. I've got nothing." She flinched when the rest of her scars were shown. Thin lines and thick stab wounds on her arms and shoulder, along with round bullet scars. 2:02
Artzes "You have me." 2:03
Cassie looked away, not able to take in Rache's scars. They hurt her too much. Cassie gave Artzes an apologetic look before taking her leave to find the Eleventh Doctor. 2:03
Kabuki Rache "Do I?" She whispered. "I'm a cold blooded killer, Doctor. Exactly the kind of person you don't like." 2:04
Bella took Rache's hand in hers. "You're going to live." 2:04
Artzes sat Rache against the wall and examined her wound. He decided to do away with healing procedures and focused his regeneration energy on the wound. "You. Are. Worth. Everything." 2:05
Cassie ran into the kitchen and turned on the sink. As she ran her blood-covered hands under the burning water she began to sob pathetically. 2:05
Artzes "It doesn't matter. None of it matters because you are mine. And I am yours. Nothing else matters." 2:05
Kabuki Rache batted at him. "Don't waste your energy on someone who's going to die. Go back to your life. Go back to your... whomever. Just... let me be." 2:07
Artzes "You are my life." 2:07
Bowties ran to the medicine cabinet and found an empty space where the alcohol would have been. Someone else must already have grabbed it. He froze when he heard soft crying coming from the kitchen. He followed the sound, and found Cassie standing over the sink, alone. "Leghai" he whispered, the word feeling strange on his tongue, both strange and familiar at once. "It's okay. It'll be okay!" 2:08
Bella squeezed her hand. "You need to live." 2:08
Kabuki Rache "No. It would be better if I died." She closed her eyes, tears running down the side of her face. 2:09
Artzes finished healing her wound and cupped her face in his hands. "I love you." He kissed her forehead gently. 2:09

Cassie sucked in a quick breath, lifting her soaking hand to brush tears from her cheeks. "Light?" She looked at him curiously, shutting off the water. That word felt familiar, and it hurt. After a moment the tears returned and she curled up against his chest, an act that felt right though her mind told her it was wrong. 2:13
Kabuki Rache sat up, not looking at him, more scars on her back. "I don't deserve your love." She whispered, pushing hin back. "I.. should go.." Go where though, to a flat that empty and cold? "Just leave me be. You... you weren't there when I needed you." She knelt bundling her clothes and weapons into a napsack, hair shrouding her face and body. Face it, no one really want you. They're just saying things. They won't be there when you need them. Just like always. Silently, she pushed past him into the hallway. 2:16
Marvel A barrier formed in front of Rache. 2:16
Artzes "Manyetha..." he pleaded. "Please... I..." 2:16
Marvel: ~Nope~ 2:16
Bowties "Talk to me," he urged. "'Here to help.' That's what I always say, isn't it?" He was getting dangerously close to breaking the dam he'd built in his mind to keep the memories from flooding him, from overwhelming him. It was such a delicate operation, letting in just enough to make sense of the world around him, while keeping the painful memories, the defining memories, at bay. 2:17
Kabuki Rache snarled, a vicious, inhuman noise. "Let me out." She growled. "Or so help me, I will use my arsenal." She ignored the plea behind her. 2:17
Artzes "I do love you. More than anything, please just stay..." 2:17
Marvel: ~I'm not moving the barrier~ 2:18
Marvel: [there are other hallways around it] 2:18
Kabuki Rache turned and stalked off the opposite direction, shouldering her pack like a backpack, completely ignoring her uncle's words. 2:19
Cassie grasped lightly at the lapels of his tweed jacket, sobbing into the Doctor's chest. "I can feel it." She murmured. "Her blood. I-" She choked on the last of her words, lost in tears. 2:19
Artzes "Rache. Rachellia. Manyetha..." He scrambled after her, trying to get her to listen. "Firefly, please..." 2:21
Kabuki Rache rounded on him. "Look I don't know how you know my name, nor who this firefly is, but get this, I'm not her. Stop saying my name. There is nothing blessed about me." She clutched at her head. He's just saying that. the drums chanted at her. 2:23
Bowties stroked her hair, the familiar smell letting a few memories loose in his mind. These were dangerous memories. He saw Cassie fighting for her life...he felt the same anguish he'd felt that day, watching her light go out, feeling powerless to stop it...it almost took his breath away. "It's okay," his whispered, his voice breaking. "I'm here, Cassie." Then, even more quietly, "I'm always here." 2:24
Artzes whimpered and drew back. "You're Kyrie..." he murmured. "Kyrie never liked me..." 2:24

Kabuki Rache "Thats all I am. The Valkyrie, the collector of the dead." She shook her head, read hair flying. "I've not seen you since I was sixteen, right before I tried to kill myself. Maybe I did die that day. Because that's the day I realized, nobody cares about the damned." She turned back, striding away. 2:26
Cassie wrapped her arms around his waist, not even caring that she had only just met this Doctor, or that perhaps she didn't quite like him the way she ought to. It felt good to cry there, and so she did. "Thank you." She murmured after a while. 2:27
Artzes felt his hearts shatter and he staggered after her before falling to his knees. "Rache..." 2:27
Bowties returned her thanks with a crooked smile. "You don't have to go back out there..." he suggested, concern in his eyes. 2:29
Cassie sniffled, pulling away. She wiped her eyes on her sleeve. "I don't think I'm needed." 2:30
Kabuki Rache kepts walking till she couldn't be seen by him anymore and dropped to her knees, face in her hands. "Why do they care? Six years and all of the sudden everyone cares." 2:30
Marvel: ~People arent omnisient. We cant see everything. When we do, we want to help~ 2:31
Kabuki Rache "Then why didn't they help me when I actually needed it?" She muttered. "Let me out you overgrown housecat." 2:32
Artzes curled in on himself and reached out through the bond looking for Rache his Rache - the one he had saved. He whimpered softly and began rocking himself slowly on the floor. 2:32
Marvel: ~You actually need help now~ 2:33
Bella stepped out of the medbay, crouching beside Artzes/ "Hello?" 2:33
Artzes doesn't respond. 2:34
Kabuki Rache "Do I? I seem to be doing just fine. Or would've had no one interfered." She growled. "Does no one care about my opinion?" 2:34
Marvel: ~If myou had your way, you would be dead and the world would be grieving you~ 2:35
Artzes started to mutter, mostly to himself. "I need Rache. Where is my Rache? Firefly... where are you?" 2:35
Bella "Marvel is talking to her. it's going to be okay." 2:35
Kabuki Rache "And the universe would be a better place." She snapped. 2:36
Artzes "No... not Kyrie... my Rache..." 2:36
Artzes "My firefly..." 2:36
Bowties "I need you," he assured her. "You might not remember that, now, but...you will. I've always needed you." More memories, an overwhelming mixture of emotions, spilled over into his mind. A Cassie and Doctor "Greatest Hits." His head was pounding, and he could barely breathe, but he fought through it, remembering who it was all for. He placed his hands on Cassie's temple, knowing that she would be able to feel them too. "It just took me a long, long time to realize it." May 18

Kabuki Rache "Savior? No.. you must be confused. I am the destroyer of planets." 2:42
Bowties "I'm sorry, Cassie...really, I am...but you do know me. Better than I know myself" His expression was genuinely apologetic. He wished, for her own sake, that she didn't know him. That she could be spared all of the pain that they'd been through. But she had been through it, and she would remember it eventually. It was only a matter of time, and better for her to remember now, with him by her side to help her through it, than later, when she was all alone with nobody to comfort her. 2:42

Bella sits down next to him and starts humming a gallifreyan lullaby. 2:43
Kabuki Rache growled. "I think you're confusing me with dear uncle's precious firefly." 2:43
Cassie shook her head. There was something at the edge of her mind, a memory, so dark. She lifted a hand to her arm, brushing against the fading scars of a snake's massive fangs. She looked back at Eleven. "No- I don't remember that- I-" More tears, and then it all flooded back and she sunk to her knees, a useless puddle. 2:45
Marvel ~No actually, i'm not. That's where you to differ. his firefly is only paart of the valkyrie. you're the whole shabang, the biggest chance to help the universe~~ 2:46
Kabuki Rache hissed. "Do you know who the Valkyrie were? They were killers and warriors." She got up again. "Just leave me the fuck alone." 2:49

Bowties "I'm sorry Cassie," the Doctor repeated, over and over again, as the tears began to spill down his face as well. "I'm sorry." The dam had broken, the memories flooding through, each one like knife being turned through his flesh. But he pushed through it, once again. It didn't matter. The pain didn't matter. He didn't matter. Not if he couldn't help Cassie. 2:51
Cassie took a deep breath, searching for something somewhere. "Kalarash?" The word felt hot on her tongue, burning familiarity. 2:52
Kabuki Rache "Well maybe this angel fucking fell." She punched the wall. 2:52

Kabuki Rache pulled her knife out of her pack, searching her reflection in the blue-silver metal. "You have an awful lot of confidence in a monster. Look, I'm no angel, I'm no savior. Just a blood thirsty..." She paused, looking back the way she came, then shook her head. "I'm a monster... A demon. Don't you know. No one mourns the wicked. And I'm wicked. Like my father used to be before mum came into his life." 2:57

Kabuki Rache "I can't really be something I'm not, now can I?" 2:58

Marvel: ~Im serious. you two are sickening. Go Rachellia Oakdown, Valkyrie and savoir of worlds. Get back up and fly again. Find him.~ 3:07
Cassie furrowed her brow. "That word... I don't understand." She shook her head, pulling herself off the floor. And then she say it, there, in the back of her mind. "Oh." It was almost a sigh, so breathy and quiet. Cassie found the Doctor's gaze and just stared for a moment. 3:07
Cassie: saw* 3:08
Kabuki Rache "Us... two?" She asked quietly, setting her pack down. 3:09
Bella: ~Together for always. Be brilliant my dear.~ 3:11
Kabuki Rache "You mean me... and him?" She pointed down the hall. 3:12
Bowties "Welcome back," he said, suddenly feeling very self-conscious. 3:13
Marvel: ~Your version of him. This one is a seperate timeline.~ 3:13
Marvel: ~Although id go hug this one. hes currently having a breakdown~ 3:14
Cassie said nothing. She simply walked forward, wrapped her arms around the bowtied man's shoulders, and kissed him hard as she could. 3:16
Kabuki Rache "Oh..." She said softly and started to make her way back down the hall towards the man. She flinched when she saw him curled up and rushed to him. Maybe this once... she could do something right. Kneeling beside him, pulled him up into her embrace. 3:17
Artzes clutched to her tightly, choking back a sob. "Rache... I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." He continued to babble apologies in English and Gallifreyan as he clung to her. 3:19
Kabuki Rache just wrapped her arms around him, holding him tight, saying nothing. 3:20
Artzes took deep breaths and got himself under control in a few moments. He pulled back and his fingers traced down her arms, frowning at the scars. "How many of these did you do?" 3:21
Kabuki Rache "Does it matter?" She muttered, ashamed for the first time. 3:22
Bowties His eyes widened as their lips met, and he was so taken aback that for a split second he tried to push away. Then, his mind finally allowing him to accept what had happened, he sunk into the kiss, ignoring the alarm bells going off in his mind. "Maybe I haven't gotten that memory back, but...we've never done that before, have we?" he stammered when it was over, his face flush. 3:23
Artzes "It matters to me. It's always mattered to me..." He traced his fingers along each of them slowly before ducking his head and kissing each one slowly. "You matter." 3:23
Kabuki Rache "Why?" She asked softly. "Im just a scarred nobody." 3:25
Cassie bit her lip, blushing profusely. "I- No. We haven't." She ran a hand through her hair and looked away. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have-" She couldn't continue. 3:27
Artzes closed his eyes at her words. "You are not nobody. You are Rachellia Manyetha Aoifadrana Oakdown. And you are one of the most brilliant people I have ever met. So don't you dare talk like that about yourself." He kissed another of her scars. 3:28
Kabuki Rache 's fluttered shut at the feeling of his lips on her wrist. It had been so long since she allowed someone to touch her and even longer her bare, scarred skin. 3:30
Artzes worked his way up her arm, kissing each of her scars. When he got to her shoulder he turned his head up and kissed a scar on her jawline before hovering over her lips. "I love you. Every version of you, no matter how broken you think you are. You are beautiful, and I will always always try to fix you." 3:33
Bowties "Don't be sorry," he smiled, stroking her face. 3:36
Kabuki Rache wouldn't look at him, "How can you love someone like me?" She whimpered, a tear sliding from her good eye. 3:38
Cassie leaned into his touch, afraid to look at him. She knew he wasn't much for relationships, and it made her self-conscious that she had pushed herself on him like that. "I am though." She murmured. 3:38
Artzes reached up to wipe the tear away. "Because you are beautiful. In every way..." 3:39
Kabuki Rache "Even as scarred and broken as my body is?" 3:40
Artzes "Ye-" he frowned. He could see past her scars. But clearly she couldn't. He furrowed his brow and let his hand hover over her damaged eye. His hand began to glow with regeneration energy. "I will always love you, no matter what. But you need to love you too." 3:43
Bowties "Well, I'm not," he insisted, reddening. 3:43
Kabuki Rache reached up, slapping his hand away. "Don't. It won't help and it won't change anything." 3:44
Artzes pursed his lips and let the glow fade. "How can I help you, Manyetha?" 3:46
Kabuki Rache "I.. I don't know." She shook her head, red hair falling into her eyes. "I.. just don't know anything anymore." 3:47
Artzes brought a hand under her chin, lifting her to face him. "You're beautiful," he murmured. He leaned in slowly and cautiously to brush a soft kiss against her lips. ~I love you~ 3:49
Kabuki Rache brought her hand to his face, relaxing into the kiss, eyes shut. 3:52
Artzes smiled in relief as she relaxed and brought a hand up to cup her neck. ~I love you more than time will ever let me tell, my dear Manyetha. I will do everything in my power to make sure nothing ever hurts you again.~ 3:55
Kabuki Rache "You can't protect me from myself, Doctor." She murmured against his mouth. 3:56
Artzes pulled back. "Do you know how many times you've told me that? And my answer is always the same. I can try. And I always will." He brushed a thumb over her cheek. "Promise me... no more self harm... please?" 3:58
Kabuki Rache "I... I can't promise that." She whispered, pulling away. 3:59
Artzes caught her and pulled her back. "Stay." He pressed his forehead to hers. "It's alright... you don't need to... for now. I will heal you. I promise..." He closed his eyes. "I'll... figure something out," he muttered as he thought about his 'verse's Rache. "I'll not abandon you." 4:01
Kabuki Rache "I'm not who you really want, and i know it." She said softly. "I have extraordinary luck, I always survive. You don't need to worry about me, Doctor." 4:03
Artzes wrapped her in his arms tightly. He spoke in full Gallifreyan next, "I want you, Rache. Every you. I never want you to be alone, ever, in any universe. So I will stay. Not because I have to or feel the need to, but because I want to." 4:06
Kabuki Rache wanted to believe him, she really did, but she couldn't bring herself to be able to. "Please... don't tether yourself to a gargoyle like me." She was stiff in his arms, unused to being touched, except for the occasional slap she would get. 4:09
Artzes rested his forehead on her shoulder as he fought tears. "Please, firefly..." he said softly. "You're breaking my hearts..." He had seen Rache broken. He had thought he had seen the worst. But this... this was worse than anything she had shown him before. And she wasn't letting him help. 4:14
Kabuki Rache pulled away gently. "Look, I don't know who or what this future... alternate, whatever, me is to you." She was trying to be nice. "I... I haven't been touched in years. People take one look at my face and they recoil in fear and disgust. Today was the first I've seen any of my family in.. 6 years, going on 7." 4:19
Artzes swallowed tightly. "I'm sorry..." He looked into her eyes, searching for... something. He bit his lip and whimpered slightly when he didn't find it. "Rache..." He sighed and hung his head. "I'm out of things to say... Just know that there is someone out there who loves you... regardless of what your body looks like and what you've done..." 4:25
Kabuki Rache shook her head. "I doubt that. But... I'm trying.." She moved away from him to lean against the wall. 4:27
Artzes sighed and moved to sit next to her. He grabbed her hand and absently wrote their bondname on the back. "I'm talking about me... I love you, always, forever. Every version, no matter what." 4:31
Kabuki Rache "Why me? I've killed so many people. I have so much innocent bloody on my hands I'm drowning. " She motioned to her body. "You obviously know what I think about myself." 4:36
Artzes leaned his head over to rest on her shoulder. "Because when you put that down... when you're like this... when you're sorry... you're one of the most beautiful people I've ever met." 4:37
Kabuki Rache began to cry silently, tears flowing from her good eye. She was trying to figure out what there was to love about her. She had plenty of reasons to hate herself and be hated, one for ever scar, but she couldn't think of any reasons why someone would want to love her. 4:40
Artzes squeezed her hand tightly and began quietly reciting the bond vows. He hardly realized he was doing it. 4:43
Kabuki Rache listened to them, slightly in awe. But.. this wasn't right... it wasn't meant for her... it was meant for another with her name. "Doctor." She interuppted him 4:44
Artzes looked up. "Hm?" He ran his thumb in a circle over her hand. 4:47
Kabuki Rache "What was that... just now.. I wasn't supposed to hear that." She rubbed at her face with her free hand, wishing she had a mask to wear. 4:48
Artzes "Bonding vows..." he murmured. "Ours... well.... kind of..." 4:50
Kabuki Rache froze. "That's.. I wasn't supposed to hear that at all. Even I know those are private." 4:50
Artzes "They're yours..." he said quietly. "If you'll take them..." 4:54
Kabuki Rache "You are bonded already." She whispered. "To another me. What will bonding me do?" 4:55
Artzes "You're the sa-" He shook his head. "The bond takes names... you share a name, therefore it won't 'register' as different... just a renewal... really I don't know much else about it except that it's possible." He shuffled around to kneel in front of her, looking into her eyes. "I want to..." 4:57
Kabuki Rache bit her lip, then nodded. "I... guess it couldn't hurt." 5:02
Artzes nodded and slowly began to lead her through the words of the vows. Without the added amplification of the bonding room the effect was less noticeable, but definitely there. He whimpered as he felt and saw exactly how much more damaged her mind was than what it had been the first time they had done this. "I will fix it..." he promised. 5:09
Kabuki Rache let her head fall forward against his shoulder, shaking like a leaf. 5:10
Artzes "I love you," he murmured. His arms wrapped around her and he rubbed her back gently. "I love you." 5:12
Kabuki Rache scooted forward, climbing into his lap, face hidden in his shoulder. 5:13
Artzes ~Shhhh, it's okay... I'm here, love. Nothing's going to hurt you while I'm here... not even yourself.~ He nestled his head against her hair. 5:15
Kabuki Rache didn't answer him, too busy concentrating on staying still and trying to relax in his embrace. 5:20
Artzes started to hum their lullaby softly, trying to ease the tension. He loosened his arms slightly, enough for her to slip away without any trouble if she felt the need to. 5:21
Kabuki Rache relaxed further, truly relaxing as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
